You forgot to mention the best part of that article... the 360 is going to be backwards compatible. You mean limited backwards compatibility, only the games Bill chooses will be playable on Xbox360, thats as good as no compatibility at all LOL They haven't said that it means that only Microsoft will choose which games are backwards compatible. Most people are reading that statement as Microsoft will make sure the big games are 100%, and most games should be fine, but their may be compatibility issues with some, which would be no different that Sony's backwards compatibility in the PS2. This can only mean one thing, you know that as well as I do.

It will be backwards compatible with GC games, and it will have a service where you can download old games for it (SNES and N64 and whatnot). It seems all 3 consoles have been designed by the same designer or something lol

Well... a proven game has an audience and that audience is who you can count on to buy the system. Since the system is extremely beta at this point, if they were trying to shove a new game down the audience's throat, the only thing the audience would have to tempt them would be Sony's "word" that it was a good game or a show off a decent trailer. And we all now that kickass trailers can be made for suckass games. Also, by not trying to push new games, Sony isn't tying the success or failure of the PS3 to games that might perform poorly and they avoid having their system linked with a game that everyone hates. Returning franchises are pretty much the ONLY reason I'll spend my money on something like this. Basically, all Sony needs to tell me is that Grand Theft Auto will be coming on the PS3... and I'll buy a PS3. It's that simple to me. Controller looks fine to me, btw. I know, but gee, how far can you go with making new games for the same old franchises? I want new poo, I don't want to play the next generation with games from the old generation with prettier graphics

The design is alright... and the graphics look more then hi res PS2 games (unlike the PS2).... but whats with the games? Sequels and a remake? WTF... can't we start being original for once? At least now I don't feel bad about completly ignoring the existance of the new Xbox Don't be excited about specs untill a day before its released.... the PSX got raped, specs wise, several times before making it out.

What makes you say that? I might consider importing that one. Well, I'll let you know once I get more play time in it, but so far it feels right. It controls well, and looks good. Its like Journey to Jaburo done right and expanded 10 fold.

I'm getting Gundam vs Z Gundam for the GC sometime this week, I'll post a short review when I do a quick play through for those who are interested. BTW, the best Gundam game so far is One Year War, with lost war chronicles trailing behind. Journey to Jaburo was an add DVD with a game attached to it, it had crap for content, they should've shoved JtJ and EiS together and sold it as 1 game. EiS had a whole lot of content, but the game system itself was really crappy.

I watched AvP for what it was.... a mindless action movie, but it was really lacking on the action to be honest. Only 2 scenes spring to mind as "action scenes" and those are the predator vs the alien and everyone against the queen, both didn't last more then 10 minutes. I think they tried to make it a sort of suspense action movie, but theres no suspense or action here

This was a sure thing. After that retarded ending, who wouldn't expect a sequel? I enjoyed AvP as a movie to watch with your brain turned off, you know, the same brain that constantly reminds you of how the movies were when the franchises were seperate? Yah, that one. I wonder what kind of plans they have for this one... since the first one brain raped the mythos completly.

I love Dragon Quest, btw. I love Akira Toruyama's character designs, don't get me wrong. The whole set up just screams Dragon Quest, and thats my point. I love Dragon Quest, but I was expecting that, after so much noise about Mistwalkers, they would come out with something different, not just more of the same. And as far as I'm concerned, MS isn't going to gain space in the Japanese market by releasing crap that has been released in the PS2 and everyone knows is good already. 1 Dragon Quest clone isn't going to save MS in japan. Unless they secure some real brand names, no matter how generic we think they are (think Final Fantasy), Mistwalker isn't the key to japan.

I saw an article on Famitsu about the Xbox 360 RPG called Blue Dragon, created by the father of FF.... all I can say is.... can you be more generic then that? Its basically a Dragon Quest clone.

I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a steaming pile of poo like most prequel based games that were released in the past

Considering Bandai can smell money quite well, I doubt they would even touch Namcos properties. Hopefully.... Bandai will do something about Namco in the US, because seriously, its time someone started smacking those guys around

I liked the trailer, I'll be sure to catch it when it comes out I didn't like the whole "zombies are getting smarter" deal though, if anything, zombies should just drop down and die for good at some point . =/
