  1. That makes about as much sense as saying that Jack wakes up to find himself in Party of Five, Charlie turns into a hobbit, the black dude is the pilot of a hover craft trying to save humanity from killer machines, Locke is the head of the millenium society (whatever that freakshow was called) and the korean dude is a telepath and the first officer in the Excalibur.
  2. ARG!!! Locke and Boone go out to find Vincent.... and they find Claire? WTF! >.< Screw spoilers! Someone tell me what the hell is going to happen because I seriously cannot wait another week to find out
  3. The Hi Mega Cannon is way too hard to connect, its like the Super Gundam beam rifle, I rarely use it. And besides, its weapons take too long to reload. The MS I like the most is the Gundam Mk2. Sure its sort of weak, but being able to reload on your own is a blessing and makes you able to constantly fire, unlike the other MSs that need to wait for their cannons to recharge. Second that. I don't know what they did to re-balance the game, but I love the MkII. It's kind of a shame, though, in AEUG vs. Titans... it's not the strongest MS, but they lump it with others in that you don't get enough, and they take longer to repair. The balancing they did is very subtle, and only someone who played the hell out of AvT will notice the difference, really. In GvZ theres no repair time, and I don't think the Mk2 is that expensive, last time I used it on arcade mode I got 3 or so uses out of it before my bar ran out. Theres another MS that has real fast recharge time, but it sucks real bad for some reason. I also love the Qubeley, its an awsome suit, super fast and the funnels are really useful when you are dying and just want to avoid an ace. The Mk2 is even better. Funny thing is, even with super advanced MSs, beating route F in arcade mode was hell. Seriously, the last level is pretty impossible to beat. You have to fight old Zeon MSs on Solomon. Beating the Gelgoogs and Rick Doms isn't too hard (requires meticulous timing and good firing skills since they dodge your shots real well), but then they throw Garma on a Gyan at you. Not only is he a pain in the ass since its very hard to hit him after a jump or a dash, but he uses the revival newtype skill. Add the Big Zam that can actually hit stuff and you got yourself an ordeal. I just jumped away and let loose with my funnels, while I let my AI Guncannon deal with the Zam. I hate I Field MAs in this game.

  5. Thats good news. I don't care much for the voices though, since only Kamille, Char and Amuro are important anyways (I rarely pay attention to the rest of them, except maybe Bright). Now Hayatos voice is a weird choice for sure. I hope the other shows get similar treatment.
  6. Just unlocked the ZZ Gundam.... and its a sweet MS!! Too bad it doesn't transform, otherwise it would be the best MS in the game. Its really fast, for something its size, well worth the trouble I had to go through to unlock it
  7. Yeah. The thing about the space levels though, you always get the feeling that your MS is being pulled to one side or the other, and its so damn easy to get stuck around objects, and trying to circle around them is just about impossible. Hell, even the AI can't handle it very well. Most of my kills in space levels are due to the AI getting stuck on an object. They should increase boost time in space levels or something, or perhaps change a few things.
  8. As far as I know, our association with Rogue Squadron and Nintendo just comes from the fact that the last three games turned up on Nintendo consoles. LucastArts should own the rights, though, so another Rogue Squadron could happen easily enough. It'd just be for PS3. On that note, if they do another Rogue Squadron, I really hope they include some form of threat indicator and targeting, instead of forcing me to squint into the blackness of space to look for TIEs. I mean, and I really to believe that a starfighter with the ability to travel at faster than light speeds has less advanced targeting than an F-15? Hopefully their new Rogue Squadon will be more then a show off game, that won't completly suck and have more interactivity then a tech demo. Some might argue that a tech demo has more actual gameplay then the last 3 Rogue Squadons And BTW, the Eps 1 Rogue Squadron game sucked, and sucked bad enough to have Factor 5 employees arrested
  9. thats because you got to read the Xbone Gundam manga
  10. He did specify his question based on an inmovie quote, so we gave him an in universe explanation
  11. I don't see anyone complaining about Char's Counterattack Star Wars SFX You have to remember one thing, the largest conflict to involve MSs was 50 years before F91, by then MSs had fallen to dark ages because the Feds just didn't see a reason to develop advanced MSs (They still use the Jegan in F91 >.<). All the small conflicts were pretty much kept under wraps, so the last Gundam people saw were the ones involved in the Grips and Axis wars since the Nu Gundam probably didn't get any sort of popular exposure. And look at 0083, after the Delaz Fleet incident all records of the Grand Prix series Gundam were erased, wouldn't be farfetched to expect most of the other Gundam projects to be treated the same. The MSs decreased in size because it was the obvious progression... more powerful reactors in smaller frames. Just look at the MSs in Victory Gundam, hit it at the wrong spot and you got yourself a walking nuke lol
  12. Well, the movie is worth watching for the first 15 minutes and the last 20 minutes or so. The MS battles are much better then those seen in Chars Counterattack, thats for sure. And the battle against the raflesia was pretty good too. I wish Bandai would go back and turn this into a show. The story had alot of potential, specially with Xbone Gundam. For the other Formula Gundams, you should track down a copy of a G Generation Gundam game, they have a pretty good, and sometimes even lengthy, story for those more obscure mangas/kit bashes/whatnot. For example, one of the Formula series has the Gundam fighting against the Mars branch of Zeon, which includes bulked up versions of the classic MSs lol
  13. Well, unless they come up with a system similar to Encounters in Space (god, thats the only thing they did right in that game), I'm still going to avoid it.
  14. She is very attractive. But the accent and her character do kinda make me expect her to run around screaming, "A dingo ate my baby! A dingo ate my baby!" This made me laugh really loud LOL
  15. Swayer isn't dreamy, and the girls who think they are should lay off the crack He is lame as hell, because he makes himself seem like some tough mofo when he actually isn't. He tries too hard and thats where his coolness factor drops like a rock in a pond And Claire isn't dreamy, but she is undeniably cute... more then the other 2 girls. The Korean lady isn't too far behind
  16. I wouldn't. Seed was so space heavy, and the space portions in that engine suck the big one, even in Gundam vs Z Gundam
  17. LOL.... I'm playing UC mode with Amuro and Kamille as part of the Titans
  18. Bah, screw spoilers, I don't care So far, what I hate the most is how the comercials don't match the episode at all. When I saw the comercial for episode where the pregnant girl gets kidnapped with Charlie, I thought it was going to be awsome, but the episode itself fell pretty short of it lol OK, well HERE's SOME MAJOR SPOILERS THEN... I thought it was resolved when we find out that Jack was married. I thought it explained that this is why he was initially ignoring Kate's advances. But later on it got unresolved when he tells Michelle Rodriguez that he's NOT married. BTW, Michelle Rodriguez is confirmed as part of the show so watch the triangle become a square. On the episode that Boone died there was a radio signal. It sounded like "You can't be survivors of flight 815, we're survivors..." And since Michelle was in the back of the plane... it kinda throws the whole significance of the number 48. Unless there's 23 survivors from the other half of the plane. How many passengers can an L-10 jet hold anyway? Sweet... sounds like I'm going to be enjoying this show then

  20. I expected the whole Kate-Sawyer-Jack thing to die down once we learned more about Sawyer and why he is the way he is, they even hinted on it during that golf match, but I guess they decided to pass on that. They should just kill the triangle and move on to better things, and they already missed the chance to do so .
  21. Boone dies? WTF... I just went through a Boone character development episode, I figured they would give the poor lad another season before offing his ass
  22. LOL.... Factor 5 was more a technology developer then a game developer. The Rogue Squadron series get progressively bad, and they are more a tech demo then anything, really. So.... meh *shrugs*
  23. Depends on your definition of "slightly." NCSX is selling it for $65. When it hits the States, it's only going to be $40. I don't know if it's a big deal to you or not, either, but I've had issues with UPS (not to mention that they're over-priced). To me, $65+ shipping to wait around two weeks to see if UPS is going to deliver or if I have to go down to their local distribution center and pick it up myself really can't compare with $40+ sales tax plus the ability to just walk into a store and buy it. I'm sure the dubbing will be just as bad as it's been for Gundam games/Gundam TV. But, unless UC mode is a huge change from campaign, the Vs. games haven't been the talkiest Gundam games. Theres alittle thing.... its like some sort of Newtype mode where you double tap a shoulder button and activates one of 3 different powers. One makes you impervious to stun and knock outs, adds speed, armor and attack. The other makes you come back from death with a piece of your MS missing. And the last is just super speed. Theres a small dialog between ace pilot that follows the activation and if the dub is real bad, activating it might be like being ear raped lol. Not only that but there has been constant transmissions during the battle, which might get annoying if the voices are bad. SPecially during the Dakar stages with Char giving his speech. I got mine from lik-sang, DHL next day, and got it in less then 3 days. Sure it was expensive as hell, but it was worth it. I remember NCSX being pretty quick with delivery too. Honestly, if bad dubbing is an issue for you, then get the import. The game is good, its worth to shell out the money to get the import.
  24. If bad dubbing iritates you... then get the import without a second thought. If Encounters in Space is any idication, the dubbing is going to suck real bad. The menus are not hard to figure out at all, and its not like theres much of a story anyways, and the alternate endings are pretty predictable.
