  1. Been around since the Disciples of Zor Chat days.... Oh wait, sorry, wrong forum.
  2. Dont listen to these naysayers....you can say the 'S' word if you want. I do all the time....Vive la Southern Cross!
  3. I'm not certain something like that can be made retroactive. There is also the fact that The Sentinels is still available with the Robotech DVDs (now the Protoculture Edition) means that those images are STILL being profitable for Harmony Gold. I would rather have seen Breetai in one of the Officer's Pods instead of something Tommy considers a Bioroid....
  4. Excepting that every single copy of The Sentinels video (from Palladium's 1988 to the current DVD copy) contains scenes with both mecha. I would imagine BigWest would have a hard time claiming that Harmony Gold did not have the rights to these images when they've never been contested in over 18 yrs of use.
  5. Actually, the modified Battlepod and Officer's Pod from The Sentinels would probably be safe to use.
  6. Well, I don't collect toys, but I do collect old D&D modules and boardgames like HeroQuest and Talisman. None of what I like would really be affected by a crash because my stuff is already a niche purchase, though HeroQuest was one of the most produced games ever, thanks to MiltonBradley. You can still find the game and expansions from time to time at thrift stores. D&D modules, on the other hand, since they are rarer to begin with, I'm totally at the mercy of the what the market charges.
  7. I'm actually glad Crash won. My roommate and I watched it a few months back and we were both surprised. Neither of us thought it was gonna be worth a damn, thinking it was going to be a 2-hour rant on 'Whitey sucks and racism is all their fault' that typically passes for an 'enlightened look at racism' in movies.
  8. God, what a piece of utter cr*p. The D&D Movie was better than this steaming pile. The script writer of Ultraviolet should be barred from ever writing again.
  9. Darren McGavin, of Kolchak: The NightStalker, A Christmas Story and Billy Madison fame (among many others) passed away on the 25th in Los Angeles of natural causes. Rest in Peace.
  10. Courtesy of Darkwater's THE (unofficial) Robotech Reporter I'm going to go throw up now....
  11. Battlestar: Galactica Galactica (Battlestar: Galactica) 88% Serenity (Firefly) 81% Deep Space Nine (Star Trek) 75% Moya (Farscape) 69% Andromeda Ascendant (Andromeda) 63% SG-1 (Stargate) 63% Millennium Falcon (Star Wars) 56% Babylon 5 (Babylon 5) 50% Bebop (Cowboy Bebop) 44% Enterprise D (Star Trek) 38% FBI's X-Files Division (The X-Files) 25% Nebuchadnezzar (The Matrix) 19%
  12. Actually, dialogue in both eps. #50 Triumvirate and eps. #60 Catastrophe revealed that Max and Miriya had 3 children: Dana, unnamed little brother and Aurora/Maia. Macek's stupid post-Robotech reasonings aren't worth a bucket of warm spit because he didn't write Robotech.
  13. I could ask you the same as to why you are at Robotech.com since you 'hope that HG one day will vanish forever so we can all have Yamatos at cheap crazy prices'. If you wanna get into a pissing contest, be my guest Waters7. RDF HQ EZBoard Messageboard.... It usually applies to narcistic Macross fans who have the nerve to constantly tell me, whether I want to hear it or not, that Southern Cross sucks ass and that there is no fan base and I should just shut up and go away. It also applies to a-holes at Robotech.com that think The Macross Saga is all there is to Robotech, and the rest is not even worth wiping their ass with and any of us who are fans of anything else in Robotech are simply deluded and/or stupid.
  14. Channel surfing is what I do at work...and I love it. Sometimes I get surprised what I come across. This one totally floored me, cause I didn't expect it in the least. A little while back, while channel surfing at work, I caught about 5 seconds of Totally Spies. Its not my cup of tea to say the least. However, it was what was on screen that stood out. I finally found one screen cap of it, and figured I would share it. I'm going to try and find a few more. Hmmm.....looks basically like the the Flashclapper.... or maybe the Thunderclapper....
  15. More correctly, that is a modified VA-8 'Super' Logan (though maybe Armo-Logan would be better?) created by Wayne Breaux in the very last supplement for the Robotech RPG published by Palladium.
  16. From IMDB.com From Harmony Gold's own catalogue: This is the first any of us have heard of Dong-Wook Lee. Anyone know if he is someone at Dr. Movie?
  17. Actually, it cannot transform into its Transport mode (aka Sniping Clapper in Southern Cross). It acts as a Tank in Gladiator (aka Walking Cannon) configuration, not in Transport. Transport mode is just that: a battle taxi (sort of) and a reconnaisance vehicle (hence the reason the driver sits without a cover).
  18. Nope, thats not ALuCE-1, which is at the northern polar lattitude. That is some other base, perhaps the rebuilt Luna, or a third base built during the occupation. All we know of it is what Sue Graham stated that it was a base on the 'dark side of the moon'....though thats incorrect as well.
  19. No information has been available about the case for a while. My guess is that it was all settled out of court.
  20. There is supposed to be a 'visual update' on Tuesday on Robotech.com.....it may include a date for release. Best guess is 2nd Quarter of this year, if they are truly wrapping up post-production now. Supposedly the music is being scored in Prague over the next few weeks.
  21. Not quite true. The SDF-3 was 'wrapped up in the exoskeleton of a Zentraedi battlecruiser'. In fact, we don't know what the SDF-3 was actually supposed to look like as all we ever saw was the 'Trojan Horse' in The Sentinels. I'm just wondering what they will do with this design, which isn't actually all that bad.....
  22. Well, I told Tommy a couple of years back that the SDF-3 should have been shaped like that of a Tristar-class Cruiser Leader, since it was designed about the same time. Not that he would listen to someone like me since I'm only a fan. I think they really wanted ships that had the same Mospeada aesthetic as the Izumo and Ikazuchi's, though the standard Shimikaze's do have a bit of Southern Cross style in their forward bow section.
