  1. Can someone explain me what this series is about? Are they reissues or new molds made old style? And are they out yet? I'd like to get the Hikaru version... Is this the one I should be getting or? http://cgi.ebay.com/Robotech-Macross-Banda...id=p3286.c0.m14
  2. Much to my horror, the rear left leg of my beloved MP Voltron green lion broke last night at the knee joint. Thank God, I've been able to glue the broken piece back and it's now 100% functional again, but still, now I'm bit afraid of playing with it...
  3. We must not be talking about the same toy. For it to "fall apart at the slighest touch", I would have to shake it violently and then throw it against a wall.
  4. Designers from Studio Half Eye would probably disagree with you. I'm starting to be tempted by that line. I really love vintage robots.
  5. I know it's not a kit per say, but I won the original transformable HCM 1/144 ZZ Gundam (no. 24) yesterday for $25 on Ebay last night. It has some die-cast too (mostly in the joints I think). Can't wait to get it. Now, I wish I could find the HCM Z Gundam too...
  6. The guys from AC/DC. But thank God, they're back with a new album in October.
  7. You're giving a 4 year old kid fragile $150+ toys? Wow.
  8. I got them all, down to Silverstreak, Sideswipe and Ironhide.
  9. I'm pretty sure it's just a retool + redeco (with additional accessories) of SOC Voltes V to allow for the tank mode. The original DX version is shown for reference purposes.
  10. Never said that. I think Internet is the greatest miscommunication tool of all times.
  11. That Millenium Falcon is so awesome I might have to get one despite the high price tag.
  12. Weird, all the joints on my Voltes V and Ideon are nice and tight, never heard of your problem before... You got double-turded!
  13. Like I said privately to that other dude, only the same 4-5 guys have been steadily complaining about the figure here (and only 1 or 2 actually own the figure!), you included. That doesn't put a lot of weight in the "most people don't like it" argument. Just acknowledge the fact that there ARE people who actually like the toy, something you guys seem to purposefully ignore for some odd reason.
  14. What's wrong with them? They seem fine on the one I have on display here...
  15. Godmars, Reideen, Daimos... it's a fantastic year for SOC fans.
  16. What, you paid $100? You need to learn to shop at better places dude. Also, stop thinking your opinion is the one shared by all "fans". You hate the toy, fine. But others like me like it, you have to accept that FACT.
  17. 1. Read my last post. 2. All fans are not posting on this board. Only a handful. I don't agree with your "shitty" and "overpriced" statement. And again, I'm probably not the only one to disagree.
  18. No. I know nothing about the anime and don't care, I just like the design of the toy and that's why I got it. And you can bet I'm not alone in that boat. Plus, not all "serious" fans are super anal about anime accuracy. I bet most of them are glad they're just getting toys from that anime regardless of accuracy.
  19. That's like complaining there are too many versions of Optimus Prime out there. Fans will gladly take all versions offered to them.
  20. They won't stop production for a handful of unsatisfied fans when the average customer won't care.
  21. Dr. Z

    My first Bandai 1/55!

What's die-cast on that one? It's like the old G1 Jetfire toy, right?
  22. The Universe Classics series line is cool (minus the useless repaints from previous series), but it doesn't match the first Classics series when it comes to aesthetics or overall feel. Classics 2.0 are mostly movie toys minus the funky heads. I really like my Ironhide. Bad deco (I took care of that quickly with silver and black paint apps) but great mold.
  23. Well, they made a transformable 1/35 Jumbo Grade Zeta Gundam (2' tall). How big would a 1/60 Monster be?
  24. About Animated... I'm in love with the line. I liked a lot Energon and Cybertron but never felt the need to own all the molds. Not the case with Animated. I want them all, even the repaints, something I normally don't do. They're loaded with personality and they have fun transformations on par with what was being offered in older lines (just look at deluxe Sentinel Prime for instance... brilliant execution). Even the little Activators and the Bumper Battlers are cool. The only weak figure imo is Voyager Megatron (don't care for the alternate mode much and the robot is a bit unbalanced). And I for one love Starscream, it reminds me a bit of the YF-19 or G1 Cyclonus. Looks a bit unfinished in jet mode, but hey, most TF jets do. And Bumblebee is full of awesome as well, great transformation and I don't mind the feet, I've seen much worse. That said, I can't wait to get newer movie toys, the OTHER series I feel like getting all the figures from. I love complex and realistic figures.
