I say go for it! I have the ET 2SS and this HMR while smaller and just a few minor issues is definitely the VF-2SS to own. Who knows if will ever see a 1/60 Bandai DX version.

Yes she is!! I didn't realize til I got the kit that there were the Rocket pods and mini-guns! Thought it was just the big missile racks & Mini-nukes.

Neither of mine are flush and that is a design flaw on Bandai. someone posted earlier a way to fix it (supposedly) but it requires disassembly of the Valk. I think it was a Twitter post.

That's some good stuff there General Rasp. don't know what that "Big Powered" is but I am rather curious now.

I can definitely see getting more of these if they make a Nexx, Faerie & the Green Stripe ( I think called White Fox or Ox Squadron) versions.

Well I officially have both of my VF-2SS's, given these are 1/100 scale they are rather nice (not to big & not to small), transformation is rather easy, unless you want to add the landing gear you really don't have to do any parts-forming on it. Safe to say if the make a Nexx, Faerie Squad and the Squad with the Green stripe, I'll get those too.

Added the Armament Set and gave the Raptor some weathering, still needs to looks like "Athena" got her butt kicked by the Cylons before she & Helo won the day! P.S. If you do decide to get this kit, buy a heavy duty stand like a "Flight-pose" or something, this kit s rather heavy and the stand they give is the same as the Vipers... not very sturdy.

Thank you! She's a big kit at 12" Long, 8" Wide and about 5" in height. Overall the fit is pretty good, there are few place where putty would certainly come in handy. Otherwise, much like the MKII & MKVII Vipers it's a fun kit to build. Right now I'm having fun airbrushing it.

Thanks derex, hose are for sure decals. Moebius did a great job on the detail work with those, straight from the series!

So I finally had some free time & a chance to get over to the Hobby Shop. This is the Raptor so far. The initial coat of paint I used was really dark (Think a B-17 with dark OD paint... didn't look right). Ended up using Model Master Afrika Mustard and looks pretty close to what you see in the series. Engines are next as they are supposed to be a Metallic Brown color (per the instructions). The Rocket pods, missiles & guns are drying outside. Going to ply around with the Air-brush tomorrow or Tuesday and give it that "Combat Worn" look.

According to AmiAmi & HLJ, it looks like both VF-2SS's will be here on Tuesday. Besides my MKII Monster, these are my first HMR Valk's!

I feel ya, I got just 2 as well. Going to start saving up for when they eventually make a Nexx & Faerie Squadron. You know Bandai will milk that mold.
