I was asking for my input from people who have had issues with AE's warehouse, not people who haven't had issues. I probably should have made that clearer.

Gee hope that wasn’t a hard to get item in HLJ’s Pw. That would be just a horrible feeling.
i do wonder how AE can store things, what seems indefinitely. There must a holding cost to it. Even if it’s their own place, the cost is the lost opportunity to rent/use the warehouse for other activities.
Luckily it was something that was easy to find elsewhere. I would've lost my sh** if it was something like a DX valk.
Let's not forget good old human incompetence, which is probably the reason for any item disappearance from warehouse. Or maybe an employee pilfered it.

Longest I had stuff in their warehouse was over a year apart. Although it seemed fine, I didn’t want to push my luck letting in sit in their warehouse too long. You never know what might happen .
but yeah AE hasn’t let me down past decade been using them..
It's just a human quirk to think that bad things only happen to other people. "I haven't had any issues so therefore no issues exist."
Even HLJ has lost an item I had paid for and stored in PW... and that's only 60 days.

I've used AE plenty and have had zero issues but I don't want to discount the peeps that have had problems. Although I haven't used them recently because they've been jacking up the price of web exclusives and am glad I didn't have anything in their warehouse when Japan Post suspended service.

Gonna be a very long wait with the way things are going in the USA regarding its coronavirus response, or lack thereof.
(I live in Texas and I would love nothing more than to see our useless POS governor and lt governor get COVID, but that's for another forum.)
Also, I had heard from one or two peeps on here that they had kept things in AE's PW system for a long time (like over a year) and when they finally requested shipping, AE had lost the items in question. If anyone has more info or experience on this, we'd like to hear from you. But it's something to keep in mind if there's going to be a long delay before Japan Post resumes services to the USA.

The BSG Viper III arrived today..
This being my first BSG & Eaglemoss product, I'm quite blown away when I opened the box. It is much bigger than I expected, yet there is sufficient detailing for its size. Its unexpectedly weighty too when taking it out of its styrofoam tray. The small icing on top is its simple but quite functional display base. The base is nice & weighted, instead of just empty shell plastic, and although the cradle just sorts of holds but does not actually attach to the Viper III, it makes it very easy to just pick it up and swoosh it around haha..
Growing up, I didn't actually pay much attention to BSG, so I don't know who were the characters or what the storyline was when it happens to be on TV. But the scenes with the Viper catches my eye every time, and now I'm glad to have a physical representation of Viper on my desk. Granted, its not the original Viper, but this Viper III is close enough and I feel looks even better with its updated design.
My only gripe would be there's no opening cockpit gimmick, but also might as well not since the cockpit is just an empty space inside..
Nice score!
I got the Viper Mk II awhile back and loved it. The only thing that I wish it had was an opening canopy and some cockpit detail, but for $55 I can't really complain for such a lovely and detailed bird.
Now that I think about it, I haven't gotten an Eaglemoss ship in some time... time to start browsing.

Wow! That does look good! Great job!

My VF-0D from NY arrived today. And I'm really impressed with the weathering done on this toy, its just so pretty!
For the asking price it is worth every dime. This is how Arcadia should have done premium finish from day 1 on their Macross items, instead of just putting tampo prints that should be there in first place on their normal items.
Here's hoping Arcadia releases more toys with this level of care and detail. Expensive, yes, but nothing Bandai has done comes close to the PF 0D.

Patience is a virtue. There will be more available. Don't pay these obscene scalper prices for something that's not even out yet.
-
LMAO man you really drank the NY kool-aid hard if you rank them over HLJ and Amiami in customer service.
-
If it's a sign of age, then I must be getting old too, because after not getting a Roy at the initial PO start, I refuse to pay any scalper prices and will just wait for release day or any shop that still has stock at or close to MSRP. If I don't find one in that price range, then oh well, I'll just have to live with all my 1/60s and abandon Bandai's 1/48 crap.
As long as there are people willing to pay scalper prices, scalpers will scalp. It's mostly Bandai's fault for not producing enough to satisfy demand because of their fear of any item spending *gasp* a day on the shelf!
Scalpers just see the opportunities that Bandai's business practices have created and are taking advantage of it.

Tempting to pre-order in case Nin-Nin cancels on me. Anyone have prior experience with My Kombini (packaging/reliability/etc)?
I've only ordered a handful of times. They did cancel once on me for something I put down a deposit on, so I consider them as unreliable when it comes to high demand items.

Remember, there's like a 99% chance we will be getting a DYRL Roy. A TV VF-1S Hikaru is also pretty likely.
So if you're weighing paying inflated prices for this release, keep in mind that you'll have 1, maybe 2 more chances at scoring a PO on a very similar toy. I know some people want every single release in this line, but if not, you've got a couple more chances at scoring a Skull Leader (just sand display-stand) at pre-order prices.
If I was going to just get one release of the yellow 1S, it would be Roy's rather than Hikaru's. I already have Hikaru's TV 1J so I'd want Roy to have all the TV characters.

Sorry to hear about your health situation. Hope things continue to improve.
Thanks! I'm much better today than I was yesterday. Just a headache and some minor aches and a cough. But I'm on quarantine for the time being so I'm just watching Youtube and checking for Roy POs.

Oh eff that. Jumping straight to selling at an inflated price.
Just now, seti88 said:Oh man. Are you sure its not post Roy PO PTSD? ..Sorry didnt mean to kid around.
Am hearing abt the chaos in US on the news daily.
Hopes it will turn out negative, in the meantime, take the most upmost care and keep the faith. Thanks! My symptoms have been mild, fortunately, as I'm in good health and all. The first 24 hours of symptoms were the worst, though. I felt like Bruce Wayne after losing to Bane and being left in the pit.
I'm way more concerned about getting a Roy PO at a non-scalper price than I am about my COVID situation.

Don't feed the scalpers! I don't care if they have a storefront or is just some jerk running his hustle from his basement.
There will be more later. Even in a worst case scenario, you'll be able to get it off Mandarake for less than NY. And Mandarake won't take months to ship!

Hope you got a good nights rest tho! Thats priceless..well...yeah.
I wish. Been sleeping erratically since I developed what I believe are COVID symptoms Sunday night. Earlier testing appointment I could get is Thursday. Greatest country in the world, eh?
Anyway, I'll just have to keep an eye here and hope I can catch an open PO.

Aw man, I went to sleep right before @F360 posted the CD Japan link.

Despite NY's many, many problems, intentionally lying about "not receiving enough stock" and then canceling people's orders only to turn around and resell it at a huge mark-up is not one of them.

My intention was merely to provide @jenius with the constructive criticism he'd asked for. I respect his choice to pronounce it however he likes... but he knows it's wrong.
Asking for constructive criticism then ignoring it and digging in with a clearly wrong viewpoint? What did I say earlier about humans and facts?
He knows it's wrong, but it's a made-up word, so who cares. Right Jen-nye-oos?

Only ordered the super parts with the expectation that there will be a Hikaru variant down the line.
And if that never happens, I have my many, many Yamatos.
As far as TV super parts go, I only want them for Hikaru's 1S, and Max & Miria's 1Js. I hope those come as a bundle because they're unit specific packs, but I wouldn't put it past Bandai to nickel and dime us on those too.

Is Legioss a Japanese word or a made-up word? 'Cause if it's made up, I'm not budging.
My friends and I were just having a discussion on how facts rarely change anyone's mind, and people only bother "thinking" in order to justify their pre-conceived conclusions.
Also, all words are made up.

Bandai wants to make it as hard as possible to buy their Macross stuff so you'll give up in exasperation and just buy a nice RX-78-2 instead.

Nin nin tried to give me store credit after canceling my 31A order. I told them absolutely not and I wanted my money back if they couldn't deliver the goods. They relented and refunded me my money. Still annoys me that they basically got an interest-free loan out of it.
