  1. I don't think their price point is at all unreasonable for the level of quality. I am a small scale boutique manufacturer. I know what it takes to do what and most importantly short run vs mass production costs. I think we're lucky to have some to buy period. These are not "money makers" for these companies. They could easily decide it's not worth it to make them/make them anymore.
  2. The yellowing in the box can be caused my a couple of different reasons. Have you noticed that the VF-25's are real prone to yellowing in the box? I speculate that it's because of the Styrofoam inserts. It breaks down and turns into a gas over time. I imagine that gas is not getting along very well with the plastic Bandai went with. Then there are other factors like temperature. Temperature fluctuations are a big no no when storing anything. Add that to a off-gassing situation, etc and you can get some combinations that won't store well. There are a ton of variables in play when it comes to yellowing. The biggest one being UV and IMO the second one being stored in Styrofoam. The only thing we can do as collectors is minimize those variables as best we can and hope for the best. I have three DX VF-1S's in boxes still. I plan on getting them out of their Styrofoam coffins soon.
  3. Ah crap, I thought I could help. I'm not even sure what a MC Freedom is. I do have a MK Strike inbound though.
  4. Any UV light, even indirect and faint will have an effect. Some plastics more than others. I had a Gakken Ride Armor (the big one) next to a Yammie YF-19 way back in a bookcase in an office most people would call a dungeon for 10yrs. They got very little UV light. The Gakken did pretty good (and it's much older). The Yammie looked horrible. It only took a little bit of UV and it smoked that 19. All my stuff is in a blacked out (sunlight) room under LED lighting now. I'm not taking the chance of yellowing anymore.
  5. I've got a MB Strike Freedom Soul Blue. What do you want to see it next to?
  6. I can't find the motivation to play with light gimmicks. If I did I would turn them on once, say "Ooo, neat". And never turn them on again. Now if I could get every toy with a light gimmick to light up at the same time with the touch of one remote control, I'd be into that. That could be done obviously. Not for the effort I'm willing to put in or time I have for though. I played with the gimmicks on one toy. The Battle Damaged Ultimetal Optimus Prime. And that was just to make sure everything worked on such a pricey toy before I left good feedback on it. The batteries are back out of it now and I'll probably never put them in again.
  7. Depends on where they're kept.
  8. Good to know. Thanks Still wearing gloves though!
  9. Smart. I have all that stuff. I'm going to do it too. Thanks for planting the seed. What are you wiping the figures down with? I don't want to "melt" the paint.
  10. I got the Flu in a really bad way the day after I un-boxed mine. And I just don't get sick. Ever. I take incredibly good care of myself, eat a psychotically focused diet, etc, etc, etc. I haven't had so much as a could in it has to be 5-6yrs now. Coincidence? Probably. Did I have a little "pandemic freak out" there for a moment. Yep, sure did. Anyone know where these are built and ShowZ is? I would be curious if it's in the quarantine zone. I've got two more boxes from ShowZ that have shown up since. Probably irrational, but I'm a little hesitate to open them up.
  11. I absolutely LOVE the boosters!!! I've got mine displayed in a non traditional fission so you can see the back of the figure as well as the front (you have to walk around it a bit). I love how it looks from the back. So much so that I seriously considered getting a second one so I could display the front and back at the same time.
  12. Yes, indeed. Hoodies are supposed to be loose. T Shirts and tank tops are supposed to be tight. Sun's out, Gun's out!
  13. 6" 200lb 10% BF, 52" chest and 17.75" arms. Yeah, I'm going to need a XL.
  14. I never wear clothes with letters or pictures on them. But I would get one of these. Maybe.
  15. I think you're really going to enjoy it. The only thing that bothers me, and this is nit picking, is that the shotguns pin into the hands in a position where you can't get the trigger finger high enough to reach the trigger. It looks funny with all four fingers wrapped around the grip below the trigger guard. Again, nit picking.
  16. Roger that. Thanks guys.
  17. What are the differences in a TV Roy and DYRL Roy? -The packs obviously. No strike cannon on TV. -The roundels on the packs are Kites on YV? -Are the packs a different color? -Anything else? -Wouldn't TV Roy have cartoon hands? Did Roy ever have Supers on his Valk in the TV show? I only remember Hikaru getting them after Roy died. I'm not nit picking. I'm genuinely curious. I need to raise my nerd game a bit here.
  18. Well, this dude is awesome. Super beefy. Great heavy and solid feel. Zero flop. Yeah, I know my picture sucks.
  19. Doesn't matter.
  20. I'm holding out for The Love Boat.
  21. What did that start life as? A Yamacadia 1/60?
