  1. Well, I guess that answers what is the sweetest new generation light cycle......... There is something about the classic though. Man, I had all of these when I was a kid!
  2. I ended up spending $156.05 for a sealed box McFarlane out of Mandy shipped DHL. Not too shabby!
  3. Ooooooo, that's fantastic!
  4. Is that the 1/6 Medicom? That's dead sexy. And you just reminded me. I need a Light Cycle!
  5. Yeah, I blacked out the windows in the office. The tint was for the little bit of light that can travel down the hallway. I had the south side of my house done when it was built. I never knew how effective it was/wasn't until today. Whatever they used is almost as good as the LLumar. Really close. After reading that UV test I was wondering if I had junk. The house windows were not that bad. Especially once I dialed my system in. I could have ripped through a couple more windows real fast. The first one was the only head scratchier. I'm not much for home improvements. I think I would tint my own windows though. It just as fast as putting blinds up. Cars? No way. The pro's can do gthat.
  6. Your NY employee discount doesn't count. BTW, after a lot of digging I found that the LLumar is to be set with baby shampoo. It wasn't too bad. I goofed the first window up a bit but nailed the second one. I can't remember what units my light meter is in.........but whatever they are today was a little overcast and outside the meter read 500. A sheet of glass knocked it down to 380 (did you know clear class knocks UV down?, I didn't). The LLumar knocked it down to 25. That's with a very light tint. Not bad at all. I used to be abale to get my meter to read 1-2 in the late afternoon in my office when the door is open. Now I have a 25ish ft buffer between the office and when the meter starts reading UV. I'm still going to keep the door shut as much as possible. But I think I have what could be called a UV free environment where the toys are on display.
  7. I haven't opted out, but they still leave them. I think I have been here every time anyway so it's a moot point. I have a sign I can put on the porch telling delivery drivers not to leave packages if I can't be here and the package is worth too much to risk.
  8. I pulled the trigger on the McFarlane. 14,000 yen. I found a set of Hi Metal Supers I needed at the same branch so the shipping will be amortized a touch. I'm going to keep an eye out for that 1/6 monster still if I can get one for a not horrible price. I'd still need to figure out where to put it though...... Thanks for your help!
  9. I can see how it would be easy to hate. A couple of slightly different brain cells and I would hate it too. It's not a good look for humanity. Pretty much everyone sucks to one degree or another. And there is something a little unsettling about superheros that suck. Even though in real life chances are.......superheroes would suck. Humans have a bad track record with handling power. Have you seen Brightburn? That may be one to stay away from for you.
  10. I'm more concerned with the sculpt than the stickers so that;s good to know, I was thinking that the figure looked a bit better with the McFarlane also. Thank you for you input. The Bandai seems to tread about $100 more. Right now there is one on Yahoo auctions for $250. There is a McFarlane at Mandy for $150. The thing is I have a PILE off stuff at Buyee so I wouldn't be paying much for shipping getting something on Yahoo auctions. It sounds like the McFarlane may be the better one for me anyway. Maybe I can find something else at that Mandy branch I want...... I mean need, yeah, need. I was just thinking about this. Aside from liking all things motorcycle I think Akira was the first anime I saw aside from Robotech (we'll pretend it was Macross). I really didn't have much anime exposure growing up. It just wasn't on the radar. Akira really sticks out for me.
  11. Sign up now for your 35,000 yen store credit in 2022!!!
  12. So it looks like the McFarlane vs the Bandai? Thew Bandai is 1/12 scale. What's that make the bike? 10" long? Anyone got a size check on the McFarlane? Any input on Bandai vs MeFarlane?
  13. That's awesome. I'm not dropping $2K+ though. And I wouldn't know where to put it.
  14. The mechanicals would be pretty easy. The bodywork............sheesh! That's a lot of work! Super cool pic!
  15. That's where the interdenominational portal is at.
  16. DHL hasn't been getting signatures from me. They take a picture of it on the porch. I thought it was some COVID stuff.
  17. Right! From a sales perspective I get it. I'll do things like wait until HBO has three shows I want to watch and all the episodes are out and then get a month for $12.99. If they string them out they're chances of increasing revenue go up. I don't like it though.
  18. Oldman was FANTASTIC in that movie. I can't us that gif enough.
  19. Yeah, LOL. Where is Stormlander come from?
  20. Brutal!!! It's living my my dreams.
  21. I started this last night. I think there is a big "hole" in the story that is driving me a little crazy. What do you think? Spoilers below.
