  1. I going have to try that.  I have one 1/60 VF-1J with will not stand up at all.  Before I say this I was just going to put the GBP armor on and lean it against the back of my display cabinet.

Another easy solution is to get a screwdriver and tighten the philips screw on the hips (the piece where the intakes are). By doing this the hip pegs which are ball-jointed become tight again and the battroid has NO MORE tendency to falling forward or backwards!

  2. Oh yeah...$im@n can you put the armor on one of your other valks to see if it's true about the armor? I wanna see how the VF-1S looks like with it on :D

ok, i will try it on later and post pics... :)

Thanks, can´t wait for the pictures!!!

  3. Thanks for the pix!!!

The GBP 1S set is what I was desperately waiting from Yamato (and the Q-Rau).

Already have two sets on preorder from Kevin and I`ll ad two more. The GbP looks amazing :o The 1/60 line rules!!!

  4. By the way, this M-Nugget, how are their services? I've never heard of them before. :o

I´ve never dealt with Rob aka "Monkey-Nugget" but he is a very respected macrossworld member and long time contributor for this board.

100 % sure you can´t go wrong with him ;)

  5. i foresee a green q-rau in the near future. they already spent the money on the molds and its not like they were going to stop with the millia and max....they'll pump out as many as the molds allow....just like the valks. ;)

Hope your right and the green Rau sees the light of day.

Your have a point with the fact that Yamato has to use the molds, but a TV Q-Rau has a few differences (bulkier legs, antaena, eye piece, other panel lines and engravings). I doubt Yamato would only repaint the existing toy since they pay a lot of attention to the lineart and accuracy.

    We can still hope!

  6. My point of view on the price issue:

    1. Yes, Yamato prices are reasonable.

    2. Retailers and e-tailers have to eat (if they sold an incredible amount of units they could charge less $ per unit). So there´s no way they are in this game for free.

    3. Yamato is the only company which is making low demand products (insert here: König Monster, Q-Rau and hopefully other enemy mechs) for a niche market represented by our beloved universe called Macross. Which leads us to:

    4. Only one company producing toys (no competition): Monopoly.

    5. As a result from this monopoly there is no competition among rival companies to make the prices go down.

    6. It´s not like Macross products cost like a piece of jewelry.

    7. Do I have to say that Yamato products rock?

So, possible actions against prices for the non satisfied customer:

    1. Wait months until prices go down, if they ever go down. (I can´t wait, I suck, I buy things when they hit the streets  ).

    2. Start a boycott and don´t buy Macross products for a long period of time and see what hapens. Two things could happen: prices go down or there is no more Macross franchise. (Again, I suck, I can´t wait, I´d go against the monopoly and buy Macross products)

    3. Start your own company and sell the products for cheap or better yet give them away for free.

    4. Move to Hong Kong to get reduced prices.

Disclaimer 1: I´m not ridiculously rich, I live in a country (Argentina) where our currency works more or less like this: 3 pesos against U$S 1 (now do the math and see how much I end up paying for my beloved Macross products <_< )

Disclaimer2: this post is an ironic attempt at the "prices debate", and the purpose is to make people smile.

Disclaimer3: I´d like to thank haterist for the true spirit, and I do believe him when he says that if he had a Yamato account he´d hook us all up at wholesale prices. This is what makes our community special when compared to others.

Please Yamato MAKE the Regult, the Nousjadeul-Ger and other destroids, all at 1/60.

  7. As awesome as the 1/48s are, the 1/60s still rock.

What you said!!! The 1/60´s still rock

I also had to make some inner epoxy pockets after drilling the backpack on my mass production CF to hold the mounts of the packs tightly.

  8. Your idea sounds interesting. I wouldn´t buy a non transformable VF. Well maybe I would, if it were very poseable and showed inner details (by opening the chestplate like the IHP kit for example!)
