all Hasegawa Macross kits don't transform, till now, they are for static modellers, so if you want to "play" with something, go get a Yamato YF-21 toy, said to be nice.

one more difference, the first Hasegawa VF-1 battroid has all 3 kinds of head, as well as a big decal include 3 scheme choices. the Max version Super battroid has A and J head(maybe only A? not sure), the Roy's Strike battroid has only S head. but both Max and Roy's has new "hip" parts Graham mentioned. IMHO, go get the latter 2, forget the first one unless you buy for the box art(it's great I had to admit).

for YAMATO, only one 1/48 FP now, still waiting for a Valk to carry it I sold my all 1/60 several months ago, don't like the "plug and play" type, prefer to those Banpresto Junks!

VF-0, hmmm... how many people think VF-0 has much better look than VF-1? I'm not willing to, I respect the "history of macross", love the VF-1 to death!can I suppose that VF-0 is a experiment type of VF-1? during "Zero time", the UN spacy got enough time,money,and workers to make such a big advance plane, just to fight the anti-UN force, but when enemy come from outerspace, they can only build a smaller plane, that's VF-1?

I'm stick with 1/48, 1/72 even 1/100, those scale are common in modern military jet models. since it'll be so huge(and very expensive for sure) in 48 scale, I definately vote 72!

maybe not just PS, could be higher lever CG work, wanna see more, anybody knows about the maker?

I thought it's just a simple language problem. She has Chinese strain right? In Chinese her name should be "Lin Ming Mei", Lin is family name. the same to Bruce "Li". In Chinese/Japanese/Asian market that's no problem, but to please the rest of world especially English market, most Asian artists/whatever stars change their name a little. So we got "Lynn Minmay" or Bruce "Lee" here!

hmmm...I saw those pics you send me, I think those VF-19 were painted, at least gloss coated. unpainted kit is flat colored.

3 PGs? I don't know if you painted them or not? anyway, PG don't need too much paint works... but that's fair enough of assembling practise I guess macross models are not mission impossible. bandai stuff come with colorful parts and stickers, so don't need paint if you don't want to; most hasegawa valks are molded in white plastic(the trainer VF-1D and VT-1 are in oranger, the VE-1 and new comer VF-1A low-vis are in gray, Max and Milia's jet are in blue and red already), with water slide decals to complete, just some small area need painting, such as landing gears, engine exhaust and some personal color stripes on the back, so that's easy job! I'm watching M0 ep1 DVD now, guess it's my 5 or 6 time only, I just notice some "bug" maybe some of you already known. 1. at 26'08", when the VF-0S batroid shooting at a CF SV-51, showing us it's back, we can see the skull insignia only painted on the left vertical fin(folded), according to the original design, it should be on both side of the fin, so where is the right one? 2. Roy bring 12 missiles under wing from the begining, at 26'01" he FOXed 6 of them(inner pylons), when busy shooting enemy's missiles, the VF-0S swinging it's wing to almost 90 degrees with the remaining 6 missiles. even they are under outer pylons, I seriously doubt that, will those missiles hit the nose cone? 3. after hit down the SV-51, the VF-0S transform from batroid to gerwalk mode, 26'33", those 6 missiles are still under the wing, but next second, 26'34", they are gone! if it's Roy who fired them, Sarah and Shin must be killed then...wait, 26'38", some one reloaded the missiles back to the Valk! 4. 27'33" last few scences of ep1, VF-0S gave us its back again, now it had 2 skull insignia and 6 missiles! no problem here. the CG is far from perfect IMHO. and I hate those handdrawing fighting scences in ep3, why don't use CG every battle? becoz of the cost control of this OVA?

I have some Hasegawa questions Kind of new to modelling., But I want a Valk model... Hasegawa, how to say, non-transformable, not cheap, not for beginner, harder to build than Bandai stuff, glue, paint and water slide decal needed, but they are the most excellent Valk models ever made. if you have both time and patience, try them, have some practice, then you'll got your own nice Valks

as a standard military jet model fan, I won't pick up the coating one, but it's personal taste. one thing you should know, the cut-off edge will left a glare scar on the coated surface, it's never easy to recover those bandai macross models ARE good, but not THAT good as today's MG, PG, they are 10 or 20 years old. although some parts have different colors, but I suggest basic painting work on them. don't be afraid of them and don't expect too much, they are easy to build at all, not expensive, and they are macross, right? don't let them go before you catch some!

difference between the fake one and the real one there are pilot, FP and GunPod on the real one, as Hasegawa told us before. we should get some missiles also. other changes: 1. the nose antenna is shorter 2. no intaker cover, of coz there will be turbo fans we can see. also the wings are swinging 3. wing lights are clear parts 4. the number on right wing are printed on the black strip not white background, but it's not very clear here

what's that about? any details?
