  1. Deepdiscountdvd just shipped my order today. I ordered it back in mid october, just thought I'd give you guys a heads up. They must have got a second wave of shipments in or something.
  2. Bandai are a bunch of pricks for not being upfront about this. For a company to be so holier than thou about digisubs and hk boots how and the hell can they expect to maintain their legitimacy when they conduct their business in even shadier ways as such. That said I'm going to keep the set, since to me it's basically the same as a overpriced hk boot with decent subs. And where the hell is my SPT Layzner?
  3. Meh, only show there I even enjoyed was Genshiken. Even then I preferred the manga. If they wanna enforce the copyrights on newer shows more power to em, as I don't watch that junk anyway. Maybe now fansubbers will be forced to work on older shows like Ideon, L-Gaim, Xabungle, Dougram, you know stuff worth watching.
  4. 'Sup DDD buddy. I've been checking the balance on my credit card the last two days and no activity yet. I'll keep you guys posted. That makes me a bit nervous that they haven't charged anything yet and tomorrow is the cutoff. Oh well, they've always came through for me before.
  5. #11 Doesn't appear to have any extras. Not every volume has this stuff.
  6. According to animeondvd it got licensed by ADV at OniCon. Hopefully they don't take forever to put it out like the Nadesico movie.
  7. Um hey guys you can buy every issue here: http://www.akadotretail.com/shop/shop_showbook.php?id=fssset I buy from them all the time, and they have damn good service.
  8. Clearly the only option is to watch Commando, or Votoms, then get to the gym.
  9. I noticed this around when it first came out, and after browsing cdjapan I think I've discovered why they only went that far. The only dvds available in Japan are a 2 disc set called "first start" or something like that, and a 5 disc box that has eps 1-19. Both of these came out around late 2000-early 01 so whoever is putting these out lost interest a long time ago. In short, we're sol unless a laserdisc set exists, or the rest of the show gets put out.
  10. I really wish this would be fansubbed or licensed by animeigo.
  11. Looking good. A neat trick I use for less putty is mixing tamiya basic + lacquer thinner (the stuff you can buy a $10 can of from any hardware store) and just painting it on, similiar method to mr surfacer i suppose, but it covers wayyyy more.
  12. Here's something that always bothered me: how come Sticks legioss didn't burn up when entering the atmosphere in the first episode, but those large capital ships did.
  13. Voted no. If this were 1988-92 then i'd reconsider, but animation studios have lost their touch for highly detailed fully shaded art. Sometimes more is more....
  14. Zero ain't my coup of tea. Slow plot development, boring characters, ugly animation (yeah that's right i hate cg!) I really don't think kawamori was moving forward with this, infact i think he was taking a step backward into M+ territory almost. This had so much potential and yet Kawamori blew it in almost every way possible. To me the only redeeming aspect of this show is some of the mecha, but even then they are diminished by horrid cg work. With kawamori making absolute crap shows the last couple of years i'd almost wish the guy would just make video games or something. Of course this is all opinnion, and i respect everyone elses.
  15. 300 for large jobs like removing excess putty, 800-1200 for finish. Make sure the packaging mentions wet sanding. Wear a dust mask, and try the aforementioned wet sanding. Have fun!
  16. In page 34 & 35 of volume 14 of the american version, some of the text wasn't translated per nagano's request. Can somebody figure out what exactly was printed? I even checked here but no luck. Thanks. Edit: all through the zanada city portion there's parts of dialogue left out. grrrrr.
  17. I wish they would have started putting this out earlier. Did anyone else get the whole set from right stuff for about $112 over a year ago. Hopefully they'll also realease the oavs......
  18. 1. DYRL 2. SDF Macross 3. Macross 7 4. Gundam 0079 5. Nadesico 6. Votoms 7. Otaku No Video 8. Cowboy Bebop 9. Saikano 10. Now and Then, Here and There
  19. Here's another question. How do you paint the pilots so perfectly every single time? What's your secret? Masking 1/72 pilots is very difficult, the only way i could imagine doing it is with that microscale liquid mask stuff.
  20. Allright, thanks for the suggestions everyone.
  21. I'm a bit new to painting, puttying, etc... model kits so it's kinda unnatural to deviate from the instructions. But i see your point.
  22. After doing some digging I found out that hasegawa was asking for a lacquer paint from mr color. Now that i had a reference for the paint, i mixed some model master cobalt blue with a couple drops black and got a mixture that's pretty close.
  23. For the hasegawa yf-19 it asks for a color called "character blue" + white for certain portions of the pilot. But i've had no luck finding it. So is there a way to possibly mix certain colors to get this effect? Thanks.
  24. Picked the game up yesterday, and it friggin rocks! Even mulitplayer is pretty decent from the short time i played it. Right now i'm focusing on the sp part of the game. Also is it just me or did outcast look a little better graphically? Either way the quake 3 engine is showing it's age, and it's time for them to move on and possibly use the doom 3 engine for the next game. And how bout another tie fighter/x-wing based flight simulator we're definetly overdue for one of those.
