  1. 1/300 scale sdf-1? BRING IT ON!!!! THE BIGGER, THE BETTER!!! I have always been of the mindset that yes, the sdf-1 should serve as a centerpiece to any macross collection and should in no way be anywhere near sizewise to other macross stuff out there. I do know that pricewise the cost of a 15-foot long sdf-1 would be astronomical and I would have to maybe sell an organ or two to make the money to buy it. (hehe, maybe not, but I would definitely cut back on a lot of stuff just to scrounge up the funds for it), thinking about it though, after decades of waiting it would be something to aspire for. Realistically though, I hope they at least release the one they originally intended to at around two feet and it doesn't go the way of the 1/60 destroid monster. And yeah, I do prefer the tv version if they could.
  2. Woohoooo!!!!! V2s RULE!!!!! a tv vf-1a kakizaki? hehe, finally, yamato looks to be making every darn valk out there which is what I hoped to see in the first place with the v2 line By the way, I am aware of the v2 valks they are to roll out, however, does anybody know the schedule for the release of each valk? I know the VF-1d is coming out next but outside of that, I don't know when the others are coming out. Anybody out there have release schedule?
  3. THanks for the quick response, good to know we have the vf-1d and a max 1s(something not released before) coming out as well. I'm just hoping that they come out with all the valks that they had released before on the 1/48 line as well as the 1/60 as well aside from the new stuff like the 1s max. One of my greatest frustrations before was that even if I had completed both the v1 1/60 yammies and the 1/48's, there were valks that came out in one scale but not the other like the ostrich and elint and 1d which didn't come out in the 1/48 scale, and the 1/48 vf-1a max tv type that didn't come out in the 1/60 line. Basically what I have always been looking for from the get go is all the valks that I have seen and loved in one scale, and from one manufacturer(preferably yamato of course). Hopefully, the v2's will make this wish of mine come true and also release the vf-1a tv kakizaki(ben) along w/ the vf-1a max tv type in v2 form. The interesting thing though is that if yamato ever did release all the valks in one scale via the v2 1/60, I would imagine that it would cost more than a pretty penny to get them all. Then again, life is all about having things to aspire for or goals to reach. I honestly don't know how I'll be able to afford it if they did it, but it will sure be fun trying to get them all, hehe.
  4. Hi All!! I've been away from the forums for several months due to being too busy at work (hehe, gotta work hard not just to make a living, but to support my yammie habit). Anyways, I'm planning to start collecting the v2 versions of the 1/60 macross yammies. So far from what I've seen online, it seems that they have already released the focker vf-1s, hikaru vf-1j, hikaru vf-1s, hikaru vf-1a, is this correct or is my list missing out on any v2 1/60 valk already out on the market?
  5. okay, so far we got yamato making the tomahawk and the defender. I sure hope they continue on and produce the spartan and the phalanx. Hopefully, the monster as well and in 1/60 scale too! (this is gonna be one big mother though if they do).
  6. Hi All! I was looking around our area and saw some model kits of zentraedi capital ships. They are in 1/20000 scale if I 'm not mistaken, and I really can't recall anymore who the manufacturer was. Anyways....I'm thinking of buying them but just wanted to ask those who have these and have built them a few questions before I go ahead and buy them. First off, are these snap on kits? or is glue required to assemble them. Also for the decals, are there stickers included? Your help is very much appreciated.
  7. I'd say you did ok dude. I paid about $100 for mine shipped. At the end of the day, given that the prices of these things may go up and down every so often depending on demand, as long as you are happy with your purchase, that's the most important thing. Of course, it never hurts to save a few bucks though.

    2 seater 1/48s

If they were gonna make only one, I'd want it to be the vf-1d. But what the heck....the more the merrier!!! Plus of course, we all know by now that milking the molds would be in yamato's best financial interest.
  9. Canon or non-canon, if it's a 1/48 vf-1, I'm always game!
  10. I would agree that at the rate yamato is pumping out their new valks, it makes so hard for us to keep up and purchase them. My wallet needs a breather already. Hehe, might consider selling my internal organs soon if this keeps up.
  11. Darn! Now I gotta get me both when they come out. I don't want to wind up spending $300+ again on a limted edition valk like I did on the low viz because I passed up buying it when they first came out.
  12. I would agree with sqidd's take on yamatos not being toys. Given the cost of one and the attention to detail of them, I actually don't consider them as toys. When people find out that I've spent around 10k already on my little macross collection and ask why I had spent that much on "toys" I tell them they aren't toys, but "Japanese Collectible Items" hehe. Of course, them being collectibles don't stop me from flying them around and playing with them.
  13. Man! THose pics make me salivate and so want to not just buy the sv-51. but the other macross zero valks as well.
  14. I would agree, I basically canibalized different stickers that were left over from my other yamato macross stuff and slapped some of them on my KM.

    Graham's Sig

I just thought about it and figured, wouldn't it be cool if yamato did exactly this wherein you get a part of a larger mech everytime you buy a valk? Imagine the possibilities, like maybe a way huge sdf-1 in attack mode!!! The thing could be over three feet tall if it's broken up into like seven pieces (prometheus, daedelus, shoulder towers, body, and the legs), one major piece for every valk you buy! If yamato did this, I'd certainly go out of my way to buy/complete all those valks just to complete that huge sdf-1!
  16. Good to hear that they are re-releasing the 1/48 roy VF-1s. I recently ordered an urban camo gbp armor, and I'm now surely getting another roy vf-1s to slap it on to. I imagine that the reason for the re-release is that there is still a strong demand for it.
  17. If I 'm not mistaken, I believe that they also sell the yf-19 fast pack and fold booster separately. I too, also am thinking of getting the black yf-19. I think the black color goes quite well with it.
  18. I'm a big fan of the 1/48 yammie's. I love them even more though when they got the gbp armor slapped on. THis kinda makes big mean and chunky.
  19. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting any macross revoltech they put out. While I will admit that transforming mecha is much more fun than the non transforming type and that there is a certain joy in transforming the them especially the 1/48's, there are some limitations still as to the poses they can do given that they still must be able to transform into their valk and gerwalk modes. Plus, I'm pretty much a sucker and am likely to get any macross toy they put out.
  20. I know where you're coming from on this one, I got the blue GBP armor myself about a year ago w/ a vf-1j hikaru valk, and now, I have the low viz GBP and it's matching valk arriving this weekend, I know that it's just a matter of time before I start wanting to get that urban camo GBP as well. Hehe, I swear, it is an addiction already for me!
  21. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope they do make a tv style max and kakizaki. These two ain't gotten that much love despite them being canon and all that.
  22. If this will be your first GBP armor w/ valk, I'd go with the blue one since it is canon after all, having been the only one of the three GBP armor color schemes that came out on the macross TV series movie.
  23. I think that TV style hikaru helmet don't look too bad. I have seen better before though. I wonder what the reserve price on it will be?
  24. The easiest way to pose the arms and not have them flop down would be to make all the joints in the arm holding the roket launchers face sideways instead of down. THis way, the weight of the heavy rocket launchers would not have to be carried by the joints that can't stay up.
  25. Looking at that size comparison, I think you could still fit the sv-51 in the same sized box that the other macross zero 1/60 valks came in, they would have to fold the wings and open up the feet to do it though. Hehe
