  1. So much for "the Hikaru -1S will me my last 1/48" for a grand total of 4. looks like it'll be 6.
  2. If his is indeed true, then I'll definitely pick up a low-vis, whatever head it is. Hopefully the stealth is the black one. Titans dark blue would be cool too. New LE's are kind of a good idea. Spark some new interest. Armor v2 could be some qc fixes from the first release, like how the VB-6 got a slight update. CF colors though would be a nice surprise though.
  3. The MSV openign was sweet. Love the Gold Frame. Here are 2 new really good MegaHouse Lunamaria and Meer figures. The new Luna especially looks great. I might have to get that one. We'll see.
  4. The HCm Pro Char's Rick-Dom was gorgeous. I saw it on ebay a couple of times, always for around 100 bucks + shipping. Not surprising given there were so few of them actually produced, and all lotteried off. I gave up on that one and ordered the Zeonography with BBTS's sale. I'm undecided on wether I'll get the Green Divers Asshimar. I should decide soon thogh just in case.
  5. This new batch of HCM Pros look great. Especially the Hi-Zack! I am thrilled they're doing that one now. The flag on the Hi-Zack is a great bonus too. I'm not evena big fan of the Hambrabi, but have to admit the HCM Pro of it is sweet. Hope they do a Marasai too. The Green Diver's Asshimar looks real nice. I do wonder how "limited" it will be. The Char's Rick-dom was sorely limited. Was that a contest item or something? Even if the Asshimar is released about the quantity of the limited ver. plating Master Grade kits I would expect prices to climb on that Asshimar so get it right away if you want it. Excellent line these HCM Pro's have become.
  6. Here's a shot of the HGUC Methuss. I'm unsure about the yellow, but still not bad overall.
  7. Nintendo has finally announced a slimmed redesign of the DS. Now I'm glad I held out. link The DS Lite:
  8. Episode 2 was awesome. The ground battle was handled excellently, and rendered great. The Guntank WISHES it could do stuff like that. One of the best parts was at the end with the single shell falling to the ground. Very cool. I hope the rest of the Igloo episodes are as good as the first two.
  9. I'm also using CCCP pack. Best I've tried so far. I have it using Media Player Classic
  10. Isn't one reason the missles aren't being used much the fact the cylons can still jam the missles. they pretty much have to dumbfire them or they always stray off course.
  11. That's pretty much what the Methuss was. It was the AEUG's transformation testbed. Then they went on the the Zeta and such. The Hyaku Shiki was originally supposed to be a transforming MS too, but that plan was scrapped and it just became a high performance MS. The Methuss was easy to fix and maintain, so they were always able to fix it quick. It took a lot of damage often. Supposedly it wasn't even meant for combat originally, they seem to just kind of gave to the Argama to pad it's arsenal. Ironically though Fa was the only Argama pilot to return in one piece, piloting the Methuss of all suits. She wasn't a great pilot, so the Methuss kind of suited her level appropriately. I'm glad to see the Methuss. I need that and a Dijeh.
  12. I finished my MG Ball ver. Ka. There's lots of detail in this kit for such a simple machine. I like how it came out. I gave it Light Gunmetal, and painted the White parts Metallic Blue instead. The gunmetal makes it look low-vis metal. As for the GM, I had to declare that one a loss. I turned out I already had a new can each of Pearl White and Metallic Red so I decided to go with original colors. Unfortunately, the Pearl White did not coat the minty green nearly as well as I had hoped. The green still showed up at the seams and really didn't look good. My can ran out earlier than expected too. To fix it I eother had to 1: get more white cans and hope it worked ok with more coats or 2: strip the white off and buy different cans to give it a custom scheme. Both involved much more work than I wanted to invest in that kit. So I shall write it off as a $15 loss. Instead I went ahead and ordered a Fix RX-78/GM and that will work just fine.
  13. How is the plastic quality on the EMSIA's? Are they an improvement over the regular MSIA's in durability? In between MSIA and Fix durability? I'm concerned about MSIA sag.
  14. The pics looks awesome. Can't wait to see it. Ass-kickery
  15. Makes sense, she was instructing him on how to use it after all.
  16. The new ending was significantly better than the previous one. The series was still a rushed train wreck, but this helps a little bit. An attampt at some closure for this show, and a better footing to stand on for later instead of leaving it in the air. I do hope that Athrun and Meyrin are a couple now, since they looked like it. She was much more deserving and did a lot more for him in this show. I'm glad to see they handled Shinn slightly better. At heart he was a good guy, so it was nice they gave him some credit there. The bad guy angle would have been interesting too, but it's better to see him come around after his berserk spell. Having Athrun go to pick Luna and Shinn up was a nice touch. A little gesture on his part. Everyone getting along now and saying they'll work together does mean that now there is one hell of a team assembled. Kira, Athrun, Mwu, Shinn, Luna, and the magnificent invincible Dom trio. With a group like this it's definately time to either 1) Move on to a new group entirely. (PREFERRED) Jump ahead a few years hopefully. 2) New group with cameos and maybe one or two previous leads (like the show began as before they stole the show from the Minerva). Do not let it be Kira though. 3) If they insist on using the existing characters, then the only bad guys that could have a chance in hell of making this group break a sweat would be a group of actual Newtypes. That would be interesting. They've only touched on the SEED fector business in the first series and ignored it entirely in Destiny except for people going into SEED mode. Seed 3 really needs to get back to this since Destiny pretty much took care of the Logos, Extendeds, and Crueset threads. The Newtypes could employ some left over Extendeds, but at the end of the day they will be the primary adversary. Having this group take on real Newtypes (Amuro/Camille/Scirrocco level) would be the only significant challenge left. The EA's might is already crushed, and Plant and Orb settle back into being buddies again. I would prefer a new group though. I'm still sick of Kira. It's nice they at least wrapped it up. They went with the "let's be firends" ending, fine. Better than before by spades. I'm still not pleased with how Destiny pregressed, but the new ending helped a bit. This redux gave the ending much of what was missing from the first version. It maintains suckage, but not as much suckage. I applaud the effort at least to correct some of what was wrong. The explanation for the shields going down was asinine though: Kira swiped the Shield (Generator?) with the Meteor's sword and the shields go down? Wasn't that was the shields were supposed to protect against? Beam saber, big as it was, shouldn't have put a dent in it. Finally, Who is not surprised to see Chairman Lacus Clyne? She deseats the evil Dullindal, and then immediately gets "invited" to return home and become Chairman. Yeah, All according to plan. Side note for ZZ. I'm watching ZZ now, up to ep 14 or 15. It pains me to say this but Destiny was better than the first half of ZZ so far. I hear it gets better, still waiting for it. By the time the assault on Jaburo happened in Zeta, Judau is still either trying to steal the Zeta, or everyone is screwing around embarrassing the remaining Argama crew. I skimmed through parts of some later episodes and it does look like it gets quite better. The first batch are painful though. It was kind of somber to realize that the ONLY pilot to come back in one piece from the Gryps battle was Fa. That's it. Fa and the Methuss. The Zeta was opeational but no pilot since Camille was mind-toasted. The Mk. II and Hyaku Shiki were trashed but recovered, but not a single Rick-dias or Nemo came back. The Argama's hangar used to be full. The bad guys so far suck too. Incompetents. The Titans would have laughed at these idiots. Camille would have taken them all out easily. The ZZ Gundam wouldn't even have been necessary. Take the cost of that and provide 3 more Rick-Dias or something. Even Bright commented on how complex the ZZ was when it showed up. It's painful to watch poor overworked Astionage being abused. It was also painful to watch Elle start up the Mk. II and have it flailing it's arms around figuring out how to move it. Next episode is the one with the Ninjas. I'm not looking forward to it. Please get better. Haman looks cool in her regal outfit though.
  17. I stand by my Neutron Sampeeder Idea. 15 minutes to a few hours after the end of Destiny, while the AA and eternal are still gloating, have a Neutron Stampeeder show up near the Godwanna and wipe out the Eternal and everyone on it. The only Nuclear equipped things left are the Freedom, Justice, Meteors and probably the eternal. This eliminates the problem all together. Next show can utilize Shinn and Luna properly, give them proper development, and there's room to do something decent with Murrue and Mwu. I can't see another show focusing on Kira to work well. I hope the news follows with info that the writing staff has been replaced. If not, then expect another crapfest. CE has hit a point where it needs to distance from Kira, Lacus, and Athrun.
  18. The Akatsuki actually looks kind of sweet in black. The Nemo is looking really good too.
  19. Maybe it was specifically to help protect the gun arm from damage? It could also just be a 1979 design oversight. The argument though is probably why Destiny's Zakus have it on the other side though.
  20. The color scheme you used for the GM looks good. The mint worked good with the blue. Matches much better that way. The extra detailing looks good too. I'm contemplating making the GM body grey, gunmetal, or dark blue instead of white. Something slightly different than usual. I'm not sure yet. I'll keep it different than the shade I use on the Ball though.
  21. My GM and Ball arrived. I really don't like the colors the GM is molded in. Very rare for a MG. The body is too green and the red is too light. It looks greener in person than any of the pics online. I could have dealt with a greenish tint, but it is really mint green looking. So I'll go ahead and paint it. It's very few parts runners so that will be easy. I shold have enough paint already. I'll also paint the Ball too, so I do need to pick up a can of grey and another can of matte black. Since the visor on the GM is clear I'll take the can of Olive I have left over from the MG Zaku II I painted and spray the backside of the visor. Both are very easy kits, very few parts runners for each. Not surprising given the subject matter. The GM doesn't even have real internal detail outside of the backpack and the core block. The joints are more HG than MG unfortunately, but it doesn't have to support a lot of weight so it should be fine. The red GM Kai kit is clearly a superior kit. The colors look like they would be the same though. The Ball kit is just sweet. Very nice detail. The colors are fine as is (if panel lined), but since I'm going to paint the GM anyway it doesn't make sence not to paint the Ball too.
