Good, now Honneamise will actually get a proper quality release. That was one that suffered hard from Manga's laziness.

The three ships alliance were agents of chaos in Destiny and screwed stuff up for everybody. Orb also didn't help with their stubborness, hypocrisy, and weak leadership.

This one is staying shiny new. I like shiny metallic. I still have to add the decals to it, which I'll do sometime during the week. I also have no idea how to weather. I can spray paint parts runners, do touch up paint, and do panel lines. That is the extent of detailing I can handle. I still have the non-clear parts in case I ever tire of the clear body. For now though I like it. It shows the internals nicely and it works as something new and different. It's kind of cool to show off the internals for once. Sometimes I think about getting another Zaku to display with the armor panels off. Since this is the last PG I intend on building (for now anyway) I wanted to do something special. Hence the custom set.

Shinn was an exceptional pilot. His crowning mement was downing the Freedom, but his skill was highlighted by the second episode even when he fought the 3 stolen gundams simultaneously. He dove in and engaged all 3 with the sword sillouette. If his mission wasn't to capture them he probably could have destoyed at least one. Either way he held off all 3 for a good while. He also in no way needed Kira's interference against the first Destroy. If it wasn't Stellar in there he wouldn't have hesitated. He tried, and was succeeding, in at least reaching her, but then Kira came in and screwed stuff up again. Shinn was a great pilot, and it is explicitly the writer's fault in handing Athurn an easy win and totally ignoring Shinn's quality. The way Athrun was given that fight was an insult to Shinn and the final slap in the face. Shinn had great potential as a lead. His bitterness and anger was a welcome change to the unconfident or unwilling recruit. He was a skilled pilot who willingly signed up and earned his red ace uniform. They didn't give him a chance to soften up and or expand on his character. They didn't even allow the proper room for the Luna/Shinn relationship that was supposed to build up. Even that had to be forced in. His character had potential to work with but they threw that away midstep to change the focus to the AA. Stealing the show from the Minerva was the principle failing of Seed Destiny. They destroyed the character development and the momentum they had built before then in order to force feed Kira and co. Athrun's inclusion made sense and worked. They integrated him fine. The AA and crew were a cancer to this show.

Assembly complete! I love it. The clear parts from the custom set added a really nice something extra to the kit. All that's left now is to apply some waterslide decals to it. I'm going to mostly use the Ver. KA markings with a few of the other ones. the other sheet also includes decals for the core fighter. Speaking of core fighter, here's a pic for the heck of it with the core fighter on top of a Yamato 1/60 Cannon Fodder. I just managed to squeeze in the 3 PG models in one shelf of my cabinet. The HCM pro Zeta should fit next to the PG Zeta for wave rider. I had to take the KS Zeta out of the case.

The long haired one especially will rock. I wonder how she fits that in her helmet.

Yes they're 1/200 scale. So about 9-10cm average. The new Zeta pic looks awesome. I want it specifically for wave rider display next to my PG. Then I can put the KS Zeta away and save a little space in the cabinet. The KS doesn't have a stand either. Two other awsome things about the HCM Pro Zeta: Mega-launcher! I somehow didn't think it would have come with that. Pleasant surprise. Also, this seems to be the first time the're actually including the beam blade for the BEAM RIFLE Lower left on the pic. I am very much looking forward to this one.

I like the shorter legs too. Better proportion. Awesome either way though.

A regular Captain's Uniform Tessa figure would be very nice to have.

The new Tessa figure from Atelier-Sai is HOT. A bit past the ecchi limit of what I can get away with though. You can get her with either white or pink underwear.

I have no idea what was on sale at Wal-mart. I didn't check out their sales and I refuse to step foot in there anymore. People camped out at best buy for a 380 dollar laptop, a lot of tv deals, and more cheap computers. They had a pretty wide array of sales but the really good deals were the ones the first people in line snatched up entirely. The $40 mp3 player was gone in 15 minutes.

I'll still reserve judgement until I see more concrete info. There's potential, but how well it's utilized remains to be seen. It seems like they're putting effort into it at least from the production sketches, but that doesn't necessarily mean much at this stage. The story will have to be condensed down though to work for a movie. So in the end we'll have more of an evangelion-based action movie. Less introspective stuff. Let's see who will steer the helm for this one. That could be an indicator of the direction it'll go.

To camp out waiting to get into a damn WAL-MART, you must have a serious screw loose. I would rather pay more and not mess with that chaos ever again. Best buy was a truly sad sight. The lengths people go through for a SALE is nuts. Fighting, pushing, mowing people over. Camping out in the cold for 8 hours to save a couple hundred bucks on crap. The really good stuff at best buy was gone in 15 minutes.

They made Hikkie-babies. Misa and Hikaru had a competition going with the Jenius family to see who could crank out the most kids. An Ichijo son for every Jenius daughter.

Beating out the Rei/Asuka Plusgsuit Medicom figures and the Alter statues on my list, Kotobukiya is releasing one of my favorite statue pairs in PVC in January. Also the Kotobukiya is very well priced. January is a very good Eva month. It's a tough call with so many good figures. and no one is making a Shinji STILL. One good Shinji plugsuit figure is all I ask. Here's the Kotobukiya 1/8 Plugsuit Statue PVC. Here's the Alter 1/5 statues (about $60 + shipping) Rei (already out) and Asuka (coming in Jan) The Medicoms due in January (posted previously) I was set on the Medicom statues when thsoe were announced, but the Alters had me thinking about those instead. The Kotubukiya pair is a great alternative to either. The Medicoms are probably going to be terrific, but at $100 a piece they're super pricey. Right now I'm going for the Kotobukiya set. There was a time I thought about having a resin version painted for me. I really like that one. Now some Microman plugsuit figures would be nice too. If I have enough extra cash I might consider the Medicoms as well. They look perfect but you have to pay through the nose for that. Enough to be a deterrent when there's quality alternatives coming out too.

I will never try a door buster after thanksgiving sale ever again. Except Kohl's. Took me 2 hours to get through Best Buy. Never again. Not worth the aggravation and the chaos. I got there as they opened at 5. I almost strangled a blue shirt. My brother went with me and commented that was the fall of humanity. I passed by Circuit City about 7:30 and the line somehow was still outside. I have no idea why, but I didn't stay to find out. Kohl's worked ok though. The line moved quickly. Lots of good deals.

You forgot the coolest amphibious model, the Hy-Gogg with the flexi arms from 0080 War in the Pocket. 347934[/snapback] I meant animated in the original show. The Hy-Gogg and the Z'Gok E were sweet though. The Zeta looks great. I'll gladly pick that up. I'm trying to resist the Asshimar, but it looks great. Not touching the Destiny Zaku pair. The packs look nice though. Can't wait for the Mk. II set to arrive. Work of beauty.

I knew it, no sooner than I buy the PG RX-78-2 Gundam for $110 off ebay it goes on sale at Amazon finally. I held out for a long time waiting for it to go on sale and got tired of waiting so I grabbed one. Right now it's 74.99. Dammit Here's the link. PG Gundam Anyone that want's one go for it.
