I still have my Jetfire x2. I only keep them because it was my first "macross" toys. I had most all the other 1/55's but have parted with them all now and don't miss them. They were cool for the time but then Yamato came along and ruined that.
  2. Verified, HLJ has put out a stop order on the VF-4G. Nippon Yasan still has them available. Sucks cause I finally decided to pre order one and I would have preferred to use HLJ, I will be trying NY. Hoping for no shipping issues.
  3. I am not a chunky monkey expert but heres what I think I know. No they are not the same. Biggest difference is the Origin release does not have fast packs. The origin of Valkyrie are the latest release of the 1/55 from Bandai. Unless you are really nostalgic for the 1/55 I would suggest picking up a Yamato 1/48 VF-1S or a Yamato version 2 1/60 VF-1S. Way better sculpt.

    Bandai DX VF-31

I am with you, I am digging the design, just not loving the paint schemes.

    Bandai 1/35 DX VF-1

The price be damned, must have! VF-1J is my all time fav valk. Just please oh please be perfect transformation, super detailed, loaded with gimmicks!
  6. I don't have any of the Yamato 1/60 V2, so I can only recommend the Yamato 1/48 VF-1S. Don't waste your money on a Yamato V1 VF-1S, the head sculpt is awful.
  7. Is it fate this is shipping in my birthday month?
  8. I have quite a few of the renewals and none of mine have loose hip joints.
  9. I am inherently lazy, that's why I sealed my Detolf cases to keep dust out. Before that I mainly used a soft bristle vacuum attachment. You know the brush that you put on the vacuum. I did learn the hard way that taking a piece of screen door material and placing it over the hose before putting on the brush attachment was a literal parts saver.. Things invariably can get sucked off the toy. For light cleaning I always use a paint brush.
  10. That's what I used, sticky back foam weather striping.
  11. Got sick of having to dust my toys too, came up with this idea on my own. Been sealed with the foam tape for over a year now in Arizona (dust capitol of the world). No more dusting for me... I just applied it to the inside all around where the doors sits when closed. It works.
  12. This is funny, I was just starting to think, I want one of the Yamato VF-4. Being that it was rare and somewhat hard to obtain. But now that its going to be produced again and no longer rare, and easily attainable. Now I don't want it...

  22. I am currently at over 50. I really don't want to know how much it cost. That's not the point of it for me. I enjoy buying them, displaying them, admiring them. Hi, my name is Spiff. I'm a valkaholic. The insurance and spread sheet are good ideas though.
  23. I have 3 of the Bandai VF-25s and 2 YF-30 Chronos. I would post pictures but I am out of town. I normally don't get multiples, with as many as I have it takes up too much space. I have to really, really like one to get more than one..
