Wow, the Vigna Ghina...one of my favourite MS in the entire Gundam universe although i love all the mechas from the F-91 movie. I hope we will see some more(especially the Berga giros and Dahgi Iris) The only problem i always had with them is the fact that they are shorter than most of the other mobile suits. I think most of them are around 15.2-15.5 meters which makes them just a bit too little for my taste once converted in gunpla. Anyway to me is a sure buy. Thanks Bandai!

I watched it friday night and i really did not like it. It basically goes against everything i loved from the Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger Unverse.
Very unbalanced movie, a lot of narration during the first half and a lot of action in the second part. The story seems to be slightly inspired from the new shin mazinger zero manga but the concepts in the movie are way too compicated to be explained clearly in 95 minutes.

I saw it this afternoon and i have to say i have mixed feelings about it.First of all let me say that the movie was very well executed, great cinematography, production design, costumes(i loved Gosling's coat for example) etc. but honestly i never felt connected to any of the characters and the protagonist was a little too passive for me throughout the middle part of the movie(which is long).
I think that where the filmmakers failed was in creating a unique and captivating mood and universe that the first one instead had. I know that thirty years have passed(both in the real world and in the cinematic one) but i was not interested in this new universe like i was in the one of the first movie. I mean, i saw the first blade runner 5 or 6 times but i clearly remember that, when i first saw it as an adult, in the end i was screaming " I want more!!!". I wanted to know more about those characters, about the replicants, about that world and every of its facets. At the end of this one, not so much and i was upset about this because everything was very well done with very high production values. In the end i would say i felt it was a very cold piece, great to watch and even interesting to discuss with some of its subtle philosophical questions but, for me, very difficult, if not impossible, to love.

Really? I don't know about the fans around the world but here in Italy it was one of the things that were appreciated the most from the community. Also, Del Toro seemed to care a lot about the "bound" between the pilots. I guess this means that he has been much less involved than i expected. And judging from this first teaser i am starting to get a little worried.
I like the design of the new Jaegers though.
-
So i guess jaegers won't need two pilots anymore to be operated...no more drift. That would be too bad, for me it was one of the best ideas of the first chapter(which i loved).

So no predator on GOTG 2??? Too bad

-
Those action figures look great but...i didn't know there was going to be a "predator" in guardians of the galaxy 2...i am talking about the the blue figure on the left...i mean it looks really cool but it does remind me a bit of the predators...

So, exactly how can i order one of these kit? I don't see it up on the usual sites that have the exclusive releases like NY or anime export...

Great Gundams you got there. What makes the special version of the RX-78 origin special? I don't remember seeing it around...

Got these in yesterday. I think im now trully done with the Yamato era (unless I find a cheap 11C
). Thanks to @ZDZIYO for the deal on the Arcadia Fire Valk. The 17D is very cheap in HK. Got this one brand new for $150 before shipping, after shipping it came out to a little under $200. Also i finally get to put the vita to good use

Quick question, where did you find the Hayato-Benkei-Musashi package??? I have been looking for it in every on-line store but could not find it.
Thanks!

That looks awesome! I have been dreaming about this since the early 90s. I think the only Zero kit available so far was the one from Bandai which was a sort of HG 1/60 scale. Too bad it won't be in scale with the Ingram MG from bandai which, if i remember correctly, are a 1/35 scale. Now i just have to find somebody who can build it and paint it!

Your video is really touching, thank you for making it.
I loved many of his movies. The first on the list is Aliens but i thought he was great also in True lies(although with a smaller part) Near dark, U-571 and many many others. I also would like to remember him for Frailty, his first and i think best attempt as a director.
-
It's exactly the opposite. I want to love this movie! The Alien franchise is what brought me to become a director (mainly theater though). When Prometheus came out i flew from Italy to England just to watch it (the international release was in june, the italian one was in october i think)...i just couldn't wait! If you read my previous posts i only criticized the trailer not the movie and i just wrote that i did not know how to feel about this new release. I really wish it could be a masterpiece, like the first two films.
What i found despicable is to cast actors who are famous mainly for their roles in comedies(and most of them are almost parodies) in such dramatic roles. Also I did not like Franco in his more dramatic attempts. I think he was good only in Spiderman(the first one) and in 127 hours, well, i appreciated the try but i thought he was not strong enough in order to hold an entire movie on his shoulders. Other smaller movies like Good people, Child of god or the Sound and the fury(among the ones i saw, but there are others) i think they were more than forgettable
Again, as somebody wrote before take a look at the "dinner scene" in the first and in the second movie. If you compare the three you will notice how much better the old ones work, especially for the perfomances of the actors. I could even go further and tell you that, from a directioral point of view, what i saw in the trailer was not staged well and the geography of the scene was not used in the right way. But this is irrelevant because these are just tecnihcal details and i should watch the entire movie in order to give a more complete critique.
Believe me, I hope with all my heart that the entire cast and crew prove me wrong and that the movie will be great. But what i saw so far does not look good, in my opinion.

If he can act like a captain then it's good casting.
The only part Franco can play decently is the stoned guy. He is not believable in any other role. I think he did good in the first Spiderman too but that was a long time ago. Since then he had time to destroy his reputation.
I don't even want to talk about McBride. Overweight, with that cowboy hat....it almost looked like a parody to me...God, the first thing i thought was...Spaceballs!

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I don't really care whether this movie is good or not, I got my fill of Alien films back with the first two, but everybody in their trailer looked and sounded natural and real. I thought the scene felt great, if a tad bit reminiscent of past things.
I think the movie is miscasted. It's not about the quality of the acting, it's about putting the right people in the right places.

First of all, thank you for posting this new trailer sh9000.
Although my heart bleeds to say this, this last trailer looks just awful. I always wondered why James Franco was in a movie like this and i still don't know. I mean, him being the captain of the ship...it doesn't make any sense, very poor casting choice. Anyway the overall choice of actors seems really lame(except for Fassbender of course. He is always amazing and will probably save the movie). Despite a script with some holes in it and bad dialogue i did like Prometheus but i really don't know how to feel about this now.

A lot of places won't even ship to Italy. I heard through general gossip that Italy's postal service is notorious for packages going missing and employee's stealing stuff resulting in a few places simply not shipping there at all. That makes me sad as i'm from Italy/Croatia.
You are not wrong. Our postal service di get better in the last few years though. I personally never had a package lost or stolen but most of my parcels are shipped via private carriers.
The real problem now is waiting 10 days or more to get an EMS shipment and the import fee who is about 25% of the value of the item and the shipping(totally ridicouolus).
-
I got my RA today. The wait was long. Too long. 10 days and it was shipped via EMS. I took a look at the EMS website and it was actually reported that "due to stricter custom clearance" i might have experienced some delays. Well, that was true. I actually laughed a little when i read that because Italy was put in the same group of countries like the Gaza strip, Haiti, Georgia.
I don't mean to be disrespectful to any other country or members who post here, but being treated like a war zone or a third world country is really sad. Although i do realize every day more and more that in the last few years Italy is becoming a third world country or in some case even worst.
Anyhow I just wanted to warn any other Italian member on this forum: If you are waiting for some package shipped via EMS you should expect some delays.
Anyway, back to business, i did not put the parts on my VF-0S yet. They look very nice but i was a little disappointed by the lack of panel lines(which is something Arcadia does since the 0D) and the sticker sheet definitely had less stickers than i was expecting. Hopefully Arcadia was able to produce some better quality stickers at least.

I am ambivalent about this. The old SV-51 clearly needs some improvements but what if i replace my old Ivanov and then Aracadia won't release Nora and CF? Will i get stuck with a new SV-51 and two old ones? That would not look good.
Second, i dislike most of the things Arcadia did with the Zero line. The only release i really liked was the 0S which was a really great piece(and that i bought for the RA). But I do have to confess that i consider myself a very lucky guy since that i never had a single issue with the old Yamato models from the Zero series. So i guess i will stick with them for now

The 11 had it's armor parts in one episode of Mac 7 I thiiiink...I've slept since then..
Macross 7? Then we don't care about that one, right?
-
Me too! I can't wait to have it in my hands! I have been waiting for this since the first time i saw Macross zero back in 2003-04.
Now i am just thinking about a picture with all the different armored parts...so far we have: VF-0S ROY, VF-1J HIKARU, VF-25S OZMA....Am i missing something? Did not go completely trough delta yet but my understanding was that only super parts appeared in the series. Maybe a VF-11?

I will never forgive yamato for not making a VF-1S max and and a VT-1 Ostrich in the 1/48 line. They would have looked awesome. And i always felt the 1/60 v2 was a step back compared to them. Now i know that we will never see again any 1/48 valks but i am still very proud of them and they will always have a special place in my heart and on my shelves

Natch, and it is my favorite, and I did pre-order one. Though it isn't the color scheme that gets me so much that it is the ace pilot model. I also pre-ordered Keith's Draken for the same reason... though I do also really like his color scheme (and plus this allows for the perfect rival display).
I also like Max a lot in SDFM for the same reason.. and his colors are rather flashy compared to others in that show.
I have to admit that i always had a crush on Max's VF too. Especially the VF-1S in DYRL. I also pre-ordered Keith's Draken but for me what got me of that aircraft is the mix between the "fantasy" elements(the sword, the golden lines, the emblem, the shield etc.) and the war-machine feel, especially with the super/fast pack(which i am really looking forward to). Actually now that i think about it what really got me into Delta in the beginning was the J-RPG atmospehere that there was in the first 10-12 episodes or so. Sorry if i am going OT!

Ah ah the scrapper reminds me of the Boss Borot from Mazinger z...Trailer after trailer this movie looks more and more terrible. I watched the first one three times during the frist three days when it came out. Honestly i don't know if i m going to give a chance to this one.
