You could probably sell the Arcadia for a decent chunk of what a DX is worth, the used ones on Mandarake are the same priced as an unopened DX YF-19.

Sounds interesting. Don't know if i'm ready to say good-bye to them though. Just kidding, i will definitely look into it thanks.

I had never, ever intended to spend $300 on a single toy....I still can't believe I did.    But man....if Bandai makes a YF-21 as good looking as this?  I'll end up spending another $300.

Honestly, i own two yamato YF-19 and one Arcadia. If i weren't broke as hell right now i would totally buy another three to replace them with this beauty...so don't feel ashamed, you are in very good company here :)

  3. I just unboxed mine after few weeks that it was sitting on my shelf...what can i say, possibly among the best 3 variable fighter i had ever seen(and i have seen a lot). No problems of any kind, joints were stiff just enough...and well super happy. I transformed it only once, from fighter to battroid and it looks just so...menacing! I hope bandai will release soon the rest of the M+ gang(YF-21 and YF-11). To me this is a a masterpiece.

  4. Yeah me too!!! I was so bummed there were no dry transfers! The ones in the MG Geara Doga were really nice in my opinion. Also i don't like where Bandai is going with the manipulators...no finger hands for the rifle in the last re100 releases and also with the jegan i missed the lack of fingers movements

  5. The only problem i had with my MG jegan is the colour. We can call it a space green. It's very flat and if you don't paint it it looks pretty...impersonal. Also i found that the beam rifle is way too big compared to the main body of the MS. It might seem that there is a general lack of details but once you pannel lined it and put on some stickers(i also used the general CCA waterslide decals sheet from bandai) it gets better. Besides, it's a grunt MS right? From thirty years ago. A lack of details is understandable. I am actually starting to build the RE 100 Jagd doga. That scares me a little...

after an impressive spring season, I'm on too summer season 18 and I must say it's pretty disappointing so far. At least we get Attack on Titan 3 in a couple of hours.

Just watched the first episode and i thought it was great. They changed a little bit the character design of some of the main characters. I liked the work they did on Mikasa and Armin, not quite sure how i feel about Levi whom seems closer to the original design of the manga(at least from what i can remember, i only read the first few tankobons several years ago).

The only thing i found truly awful was the new opening. Shinzo wo Sasageyo was absolutely amazing and i knew we were not getting  something as good as that. But the new one, Red Swan i think it's called, it is in my opinion totally out of tone for the show. Big let down but can't say i care that much since this new season seems to be able to keep the same quality of the previous two.

  7. I just got my payment and shipping notification from HLJ for my two JEGANS MG. What can i say, that was fast! I thought the release date was toward the end of the month like usual. Anyway looking forward to receive them. Meanwhile i am in the middle of building the Vigna-Ghina RE. Not a bad kit at all, it's missing some details compared to the other RE kit i have(the GP-04) but overall i think it's a good kit.

if you go down the credit card route, yes its only charged when shipped. However you might get a zero rate pre-charge just to confirm your card works.

However if you use paypal, then its charged even for pre-orders

It's kinda weird then since i did use paypal but i did not get any email confirmation from them as i usually do(only the confirmation order from cdjapan). And i know for sure i have funds available. I will have to double check with them then. Thank you for the reply.

  9. I think i got one from cd-japan. Got the confirmation email but not the paypal email confirming the payment. Do they do like a pre-charge on your card and only when the item is shipped they take the money? It's been a while since i ordered from them.

  10. I watched it this afternoon and i really liked it.

    Good things:

    Spoiler

-The interaction between the different characters works really well.

-Action sequences seem to have more tension than the previous marvel movies. The characters feel in danger every time they fight agaist Thanos or his allies.

-Very fast pace(maybe even too much), a lot things happen in many different locations and planets.

    Spoiler

    - A true massacre in the end. Not quite sure all of the characters that are killed in the end will stay dead though.

    Spoiler

    Bad things:

    - Too many characters and therefore no real deep or meditative moments for any of them, except...Thanos(but i was already excepting this since the beginning). I thought that Thanos characters was built really well.

-Not too impressed by the final battle in Wakanda. It had a sort of lord of the rings vibe which i thought did not fit the movie or the world they built so far.

Just one post-credit scene, at the very end of them but it is definitely worth watching.

    Spoiler

So i guess Captain Marvel is coming to save the world in the second one?! I am a little rusty on the marvel universe outside the cinematic one so i am not completely sure the simbol shown in the end belongs to her.

  11. Uh, why the Jegan seems a little off to me? Maybe proportions? Or lack of details(which can be understandable since the pictures seem to show an early stage prototype, except for the internal frame). C'mon Bandai you can't f*** this up. I have been waiting for this MG since i was kid!

About the Sazabi it definitely looks great, but it seems they converted the KA versione right?

Yeah. Everything I see breaks my heart a little more. This has gone from "Hells yeah Pacific Rim 2!" to "Okay, this is a giant robot movie, but not Pacific Rim 2" and on to "Pacific Rim 2: The Phantom Menace"

Ah ah The phantom menace...i like that...your escalation sums up pretty well how i feel too.

While I'm not nearly at the same level as you two, I did watch a clip of the Leatherback/Otachi battle and the difference in the level of visual finesse between the first film and second is undeniable. Holy cow, I'd forgotten how beautiful the film was.

I feel that the first one was more about the quality of the fights rather than the quantity. Obviously this is just a feeling since i haven't seen the second one yet.

  13. Ah ah the scrapper reminds me of the Boss Borot from Mazinger z...Trailer after trailer this movie looks more and more terrible. I watched the first one three times during the frist three days when it came out. Honestly i don't know if i m going to give a chance to this one.

  14. Wow, the Vigna Ghina...one of my favourite MS in the entire Gundam universe although i love all the mechas from the F-91 movie. I hope we will see some more(especially the Berga giros and Dahgi Iris) The only problem i always had with them is the fact that they are shorter than most of the other mobile suits. I think most of them are around 15.2-15.5 meters which makes them just a bit too little for my taste once converted in gunpla. Anyway to me is a sure buy. Thanks Bandai!

  15.  I watched it friday night and i really did not like it. It basically goes against everything i loved from the Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger Unverse.

Very unbalanced movie, a lot of narration during the first half and a lot of action in the second part. The story seems to be slightly inspired from the new shin mazinger zero manga but the concepts in the movie are way too compicated to be explained clearly in 95 minutes.

  16. I saw it this afternoon and i have to say i have mixed feelings about it.First of all let me say that the movie was very well executed, great cinematography, production design, costumes(i loved Gosling's coat for example) etc. but honestly i never felt connected to any of the characters and the protagonist was a little too passive for me throughout the middle part of the movie(which is long).

I think that where the filmmakers failed was in creating a unique and captivating mood and universe that the first one instead had. I know that thirty years have passed(both in the real world and in the cinematic one) but i was not interested in this new universe like i was in the one of the first movie. I mean, i saw the first blade runner 5 or 6 times but i clearly remember that, when i first saw it as an adult, in the end i was screaming " I want more!!!". I wanted to know more about those characters, about the replicants, about that world and every of its facets. At the end of this one, not so much and i was upset about this because everything was very well done with very high production values. In the end i would say i felt it was a very cold piece, great to watch and even interesting to discuss  with some of its subtle philosophical questions but, for me, very difficult, if not impossible, to love.

  17. Really? I don't know about the fans around the world but here in Italy it was one of the things that were appreciated the most from the community. Also, Del Toro seemed to care a lot about the "bound" between the pilots. I guess this means that he has been much less involved than i expected. And judging from this first teaser i am starting to get a little worried.

I like the design of the new Jaegers though.
