I feel so stupid.
Thanks again for the good news!
Sorry. My intention wasn't to make you feel stupid.
On another note... I was staring at the faceplate for a bit and I think I figured out why the visor on my VF-22 Gamlin isn't glued in or secured. I believe Yamato produced the valk with such a looseness (jiggle) to compensate for a perfect transformation. When angled forward the visor leans out and when angled back it recesses back in. It's barely noticeable.
I guess this was done so this way when the faceplate is folded back under the fuselage the visor doesn't clash with the antenna's locking tab/base.
Yet to contradict myself... however if this were the actual case they should have made this feature a bit more prominent with a locking tab or something and have the visor protrude out just a bit more.

How do you manage to read from the pic?
But man, I am happy to get confirmed.
LOL... how could I? I have super sharp eyes beyond all imagination! LOL, jking... I was the one who took the pic of the sticker sheet and posted it. Thus I have the sticker sheet in my possession.

Thanks for the pic of the sheet.
Hmmm, judging by stickers 3 and 4, are those hints that the Max and Milia variants are coming?
Np. Hmm... wow, I never even thought of that. Most likely could be that or they included them just in case people wanted to do customs. XD
***EDIT***
Alright... Max and Milia's names are definitely on the sheet 31, 32, 33 are Gamlin's, Max's and Milia's names (respectively). In that order. Save up your MONEY! I'm buying doubles of each!
***2X EDIT***
Plus they misspelled New Edwards as New Edwars... again. -=X

Got mine in from Over-Drive. It's pretty nice. There were a few QC issues, but nothing broken (a blemish, scratched paint, a small dent on the chin of the face, a chip in the plastic caused by the locking tab near the top mid section of the plane where the body and fuselage split in half).
I noticed the visor on the VF-22's face was not glued in or secured. My table rocks a little and to see the reflection in the visor moving kind of bugged me out.
I agree with everyone else about how Yamato should have included some sort of canopy cover for battroid mode (I guess I could make one since I'm still working on the conversion project).
When the visor (in battroid mode) is angled like the official Yamato pics it seems to be the same thickness. I just wished Yamato made the visor a tiny bit thinner to give it more of a sleeker look rather than a bug eyed look.
I don't recall the visor being so recessed into the rest of the face, but I guess it was necessary to give it a perfect transformation. There is a double lip in the middle of the visor originating on one side and ending at the other.
Great valkyrie/variant/remake IMO.

Does the VF-22S come with heat shields for the cockpit canopy? I see none on the toy itself but looking at the lineart, they seem to be in grey like the canopy frame.
No it does not come with heat shields.

Argh! Mine is at customs and since it's the U.S. national holiday of July 4th I won't be getting it until probably Monday. -=\

@ Arthrius...
1) Yea... I've checked the guns. They are indeed the correct color (blue w/ white stripe) to the Dynamite series.
2) The head does look a bit different than the prototypes, but it's hard to tell because the angles are all different. I agree... more pics please.
-
@ wolfx...
I highly doubt they will fit in the undercarriage. If they did we would've seen production pictures boasting such a feat.
***EDIT***
Follow up on my earlier reply... However the VF-22 still looks great overall.
-
Thanks for the link for the pics.
The bay doors on the VF-22S Gamlin look like they're fully molded and not attachments as we saw earlier from the prototype on Yamato's site.
***EDIT***
And for some reason I'm not entirely feeling the visor too much on the battroid mode. It seems like it's a bit thick (top to bottom) especially near the sides.

@ Kicker
That's a NICE custom paint job!
-
Look closely (even though the angles are horrible) and you will notice that the fan made transforming Hasegawa YF-19 kit's gullet isn't as sleek as the original (it was altered from the original kit). It hangs/bulges out a bit just like Yamato's.
***EDIT***
And I'm not referring to the crotch piece.

Sho Nuff
I've got one finished helmet that I did a couple years ago in the paint scheme of a friend who passed away's Marines from when we played in high-school and college. I'll probably do mine in a custom Space Wolves scheme I used back in the day. Unfortunately the Space Wolves really got exploited by GW, so a lot of people thought they were cheesy.
Ahh... geezz... sorry to hear that... I'm pretty sure he would be happy.
I never got into the gaming aspect of it, but more of the modeling part. It was fun to collect, build and paint GW stuff. Space Wolves rock! Yea I figured GW would do that with their line since it would help them make the most sales... lol.

It was stated as a June release, but knowing how things will work out it'll probably late June, early July.
-
NICE!!! Lifesize* Warhammer 40k bolter rifle and mk6 helmet!
-
Don't worry I'll still be making these even though Yamato is suppose to release their VF-22, but probably not as many. Not sure... I'll have to see about the demand.
When I'm ready to cast these I'll be checking in with everyone to see if they're still interested.

Update
I've had to put this project off the past two weeks because I had to do some cleaning of my work area. Apparently I failed to remember the warnings of working with super glue and even working with styrene sheets. My allergies have been killing me last week. I went out and purchased the 3M Respirator mask and decided to work with my vent fan on (instead of having my window open).
I have some progress pics of the progress which I've made in the middle to the end of May. I'm planning on re-working the front sections of the bay doors. I'm just not happy with how they're sitting (not angled enough to meet the rest of the body).
-
Yea... I'm just going to assume that. Even though the pictures which Yamato took for the VF-22S are nothing but the YF-21 repainted (literally) with the parts swapped. If there were some changes made to the legs I'm pretty sure we would've seen something by now.
-
I saw this in the description on Overdrive's site for Gamlin's VF-22S:
"Notably differences with the YF-21 will be the totaly redesigned head, larger canopy as well as redesigned legs to fit the original design..."
Any ideas?
***EDIT***
Maybe they just meant to state attachments are included for the difference of bay doors?
-
They're letting people save up their hopes and money for it. Then when they release it and people are suckered into buying them they can laugh their ways to the bank thinking about how they robbed us again... lol.
-
The weathering version makes it look way better.
-
NICE! Congrats! Excellent work!

Just had my vf-25f alto delivered in the mail, didnt realize there was no stand with it ( I bought the vf-25g and rvf-25 prior to getting this one), does the super pack or armored parts coming out in the future come with the stand like the others do?
I believe the Armor pack includes a stand.
-
And besides there is the GNU YF-21 and Revoltech action figures if you want a plain battroid.
And there is the 1/72 YF-21/VF-22 Hasegawa kit if you want a sleek fighter mode. Sorry I just had to follow up on that one. LOL...
***EDIT***
And/or the 1/144 YF-21 Doyusha Diecast fighter. I don't own this or any of the collection in this range, but I'm just going to assume its sleek because it's only in fighter.
I could care less whether the fighter mode was thicker or where it is now. I'm just glad someone is out there trying to make some progress on the YF-19, YF-21/VF-22, VF-11 Macross products. Otherwise we could all be sitting here wishing that someone would bite the bullet and produce some products in which we could be at least satisfied with.
Surprise!

Okay... I found a problem with the left bay section. On the left bay cover where the middle most screw connects the screw hole pillar is about 2mm too long which causes a separation between the two pieces when fully screwed together.
The genius assemblers decided to glue the two halves together making it more difficult to repair rather than chopping/shaving off the extra length. I'm aware that by fixing this through the molds would be too costly, but hell did they really have to glue the two halves together? -=\
I'm pretty sure most if not all will experience this problem with their VF-22 variants even maybe with the Max and Miria since it seems to originate from the molds/CADs. The valk still transforms w/o a problem, but I'm not sure if this will cause any long term complications.
Maybe I'll post up a pic later if I'm not feeling too lazy, but if you have the VF-22 you will notice the slight gap between the two sections.
