Nah, I usually subscribe to threads and stick with them. I need to go out of my subbed threads more often, apparently, lol. I am super broke right now anyway, and I hope by the time this is released i am fully balanced. I am faced with the dilemma of getting rid of my Arcadia Yf-19[never transformed], and maybe the 3 Yammies YF/VF-21/22 i own. I do have the DX19 thanks to a member here, and i have yet to open it. My Yammie 19 lost an arm by just looking at it, so it remains in fighter mode forever now. I hope this new DX21 lives up to our expectations...

I am very humbled, thank you man! The reflections on the Valkyrie girl's wings were sort of a "I CAN'T STOP" moment. Sometimes i don't know when to stop, and sometimes i don't do enough. I guess it shows we are human, lol. OMG, I looked up Metabarons. Wow, those are some intricate photo realistic works. I think Metabarons just gave me a bloody nose, artistically >.< I have lusted for this GPB rendition for ages. One of the reasons I nearly always place my 1J's lasers forward, is because of these illustrations. Yes, I need that book, badly. Yes, I know it is a different valk, but the pose was in my head when i took this shot. It is completely backwards, so I am guessing this is how my brain remembers angles... backwards.

i was totally joking! , but what you say sounds pretty spot on. Yoshiuki has this gritty style, and i respect him highly. I remember looking at his work for hours, ina a Galatic Trade commission catalog I had, back then. Feeling shocked and humbled by his level of detail. Yeah these are conceptual images, and they are very very cool. i just thought i would bring it into context with the story, to see what response i would get from you guys. Or a heart! With that said, the drawing is amazing, great line work, and it gives you the impression of old dirty metal. Shading is fantastic, and the overall ambiance give you the sensation of a battle going on. I absolutely LOVE IT.

I will get shot for this, but... I love this picture, it is amazing!... but... can we agree the cockpit is wrong, and the position of those thrusters/sensors at the nose is wrong... and that 1S head is so lazy... and why is Hikkie wearing a space helmet? Still love it though... and where is Minmei? Did he drop her? Or squeezed too hard and her head came of. If so, where is the blood splatter on the 1D hand? So many questions.

My first love. I remember watching the first ever episode on TV and thinking " I knew it!" I always new [somehow] that Jetfire was a different animal. It was both joyful and confusing in that point in time to guess what came first. I knew it had to be Macross/Robotech due to the attention to detail, and naturally how odd the transformers version looked on screen. I'll always love the 1D, and i wish Yamato would have made two seaters back then. I do love how bandai designed the head to perfectly tuck in in the HMR line. With all that said, I didn't get jetfire or any Valkyries until later in life. I guess that explains why i got so many 1/48s back then. Childhood trauma is a biaetch!

Gah, I wish i had a set of fastpacks for my DX... Patience! @Saburo I still can't get over how monstrous that Valkyrie is. Talk about an overpowered bird! This may sound crazy, but I only collect gen 1 Valkyries. I like all the other series' models, but honestly i can't afford them, lol. This is why i love this place. I get to see it all! One day i'll get my DX 1S... I must be patient.
