  1. I definitely like the YF-19 over the VF-1...I must get the YF-19. -Kyp
  2. I just got in my like new 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru (TV version) and it's freaking awesome!!! It's super solid in fighter mode with none of the bullshit floppiness that the 1/60 VF-0 had. You can literally tell how well made this is just playing around with it. I haven't tried transforming it, but from how stiff every thing is, I don't think this has ever been transformed. I paid $112 shipped for this from Ebay, and I must say that I am far happier with my purchase than I ever was with my VF-0. My questions are these : Why the hell couldn't Yamato have made the 1/60 as well as they apparently did the 1/48 VF-1's? Especially when they're charging so damned much for them! And why are the VF-0/A's suffering from major shoulder issues when I've never heard of any major problems with the shoulders on the 1/48'? All I know is this, I am now totally focused on the 1/48's and the only 1/60's that I am interested in are variations of the Y/VF-19 and the Y/VF-21/22. Unless that can perfect the VF-0's design and get rid of the flaws, I don't see myself ever buying another one again....unless I can find then dirt cheap. (Which isn't likely) End praise/rant. -Kyp
  3. That Legioss still looks like crap. If the fighter mode doesn't have some serious improvements made to the final product, I will stick to my Toynami. -Kyp

    2 seater 1/48s

I would just be happy if they made one that's simply a two seater. It doesn't have to have the sliding seats out of the top in battroid mode, I just want a fothermucking 1/48 two seater, Goddamnit. -Kyp
  5. Actually, the VF-0 booster in the left pic is about the same size as the 1/60 VF-1 if I'm not mistaken. -Kyp
  6. Wow, that's really disturbing to hear. Hopefully the Super Ostrich I got from Ebay won't have that problem due to the fact that it isn't white. I hope the 1/48's don't have this problem though... -Kyp
  7. I'm sending the seller a money order tomorrow morning (I didn't make it to the post office in time this afternoon) and I think that I will be very happy with it. I got this because it's very unique and it's the only one done by Yamato so far. Any other VF1 will be a 1/48 from here on out. I'll take pics and post them here when I get it sometime next week. -Kyp
  8. I think I did OK, and I am happy with buying it, I was just wanted others opinions, that's all. That, and it was a good excuse to make a new thread! -Kyp
  9. I just got this off Ebay and I was wondering what you guys think... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...y0%3D%26fvi%3D1 It looked like a decent deal to me. Now my only question is, does anyone know where I can get some after market stickers for this bad boy? -Kyp

    2 seater 1/48s

My thoughts exactly. We all know it can be done, and they damn well know it too. I would SO buy one if they'd only make it...maybe one day they'll see the light. -Kyp
  11. Just scored a Hikaru VF1-J TV version in brand new condition off Ebay for $112 shipped!! I have a feeling that I will be buying more of these, lol. I am torn about getting this latest VF1-S Roy or getting the YF-19 25th Anniversary edition... -Kyp
  12. Looking for a 1/48 Hikaru pilot figure from the VF1-J TV version...I plan on getting the DYRL Roy VF1-S later on and I want to be able to use that in it to make it a more TV accurate version when Hikaru takes Roy's place. -Kyp
  13. Well, I have never had a 1/48 VF1, so I am getting into those since they are so awesome! The best thing in the 1/60 line that I had owned was the YF-19, but I had decided to sell it and get a repaint (Game colors or whatever else the come out with) later on. The VF-0 that I had was a total freaking disappointment. :-\ -Kyp
  14. So I am guessing that means that Yamato will be sticking to 1/60 scale for a long while to come then. Which makes sense because of all the Mac+ and 0 Valks that will be coming out for the next year or so including reissues and repaints. I still want to see an updated VF1 in 1/60. -Kyp
  15. Is anyone doing a pre-order for these yet? -Kyp
  16. Does anyone have any pics of this yet? I don't think I'm going to bother with the 1/60 VF-0's anymore since it seems people are still having problems with them, so I think I will start collecting 1/48's since I've never owned one. -Kyp
  17. I'd so buy that....Yamato really should be paying Wicked Ace to work for them. -Kyp
  18. Well Ok, since you insist : @ Totoro242 : Yes, I keep saying the same thing....because it's so horrible, I can't stop mentioning it. I'll be really dissapointed if that winds up being the final product, because I was really hoping that it was going to be a deceint offering from someone else besides Toynami. -Kyp
  19. Whoa dude, no need to triple post there...that's what the edit button is for. -Kyp
  20. I didn't even bother to read the whole 3 pages of this thread because all I need to say is this : It sucks, it motherfarting sucks ass and all I need to know is what time it will be coming on so I can avoid watching it. -Kyp
  21. The fighter mode looks like a can of smashed a-holes...on a good day. It sucks, badly. Unless I see some serious improvement, they can keep that POS and I will stick to my Toynami version. Or, better still, if the Aoshima version is truly improved, I will pick them up instead. -Kyp

    VF-0S

Mine is also a floppy mess, but since I've hot glued mine in a few places, it's perfectly fine since I'm a fighter mode guy anyways. But since the second release is coming, then you'd best wait and get it. As for me, like I said, mine is fine the way it is....sitting on my shelf looking damn pretty. -Kyp
  23. I really hope that the fighter mode is much improved, because it looks like crap. If it's not, I will go with the Aoshima version even if it's just a slightly improved Toynami Alpha. So far, I am pretty disapointed. -Kyp
