300 bucks for a YF-19 with little to no tampo, a bunch of missiles I keep stored, floppy feet ankles despite everybody and their mothers warning Arcadia about it. 200 bucks for YF-19 with a stand, boosters add-ons, a lot of tampo, better locking mechanism and so far no floppiness. Bandai is the winner for me. Ironically, I have 3 Arcadias and only 1 Bandai I agree with Master Cheng, a lot of times, something being more expensive doesn't make significantly better. Of course, a lot of us would be happy is Arcadia would just give us those damn waterslide decals!

Just to know why they chose the blue color.

Although, it's not specifically said that its Shin, the boxart and instruction of the Hasegawa and Wave VF-0A plastic kits used gray and not blue accents on the legs. I may understand a certain reason for the blue accent since Shin's 0D was blue, keeping a similar "hero" theme on his aircraft would require some sort of blue accent for identification. But this is not what was showed in the anime. I personally like the blue accents, they looks nice and I will get this valk, but I'm not appreciating Arcadias decisions lately with no explanation. Every release has had some annoying nitpick that understandably pisses everyone off. Yes Macross is a niche market with a niche fanbase, more the reason to do things right.

So, it's gonna keep the blue accents in the legs. Not that I don't like it, but Arcadia has taken a lot of liberties with the Zero line colors

The old 1/100 and 1/170 IMAI/ARII VF-1 plastic kit had several variations of the 1A with GBP-1S that were later reissued by Bandai Sorry I can't find better quality pics at the moment.

Has MrK ever explained why are the valks coming with almost no tampo now?

Should be easier to just switch the delta wings for the swing wings to keep the ability to transform, I think the chestplate on the D is a bit wider to fit double cockpit. I would love to try this but this valks are too expensive to get multiples and fiddle with.

If this things turns out bad and everyone cancels their preorders HLJ gonna change their policies after this.

I preordered from HLJ with the security that if I change my mind, I can cancel promptly without any backlash. Thanks for sharing wmkjr There's something I don't understand of the engineering, why didn't they just add the hinge inside the intake and why the hell they made the legs so skinny, they don't attach to anything else but the wings, so clarance fitment is not an issue. Hmmm...

I assume it says for the VF-0S/VF-0A since it will only fit them and people won't attach it to the VF-0D, break it and call it a QC issue. But we all know someone here will attach it to the VF-0D just for kicks

Better quality pics. Time to analize this It appears to attach in a very similar way to the GBP-1S, chest, shoulder, arm and legs just slide and clip in, the backpack I can't tell how it holds, should probably clip in a similar way the front chest does, can't imagine the backpack holding the weight of an extra piece. The crotch area should be similar to the Hasegawa kit as part of the chest with a movable hinge for motion range. The hip pack attaches to the now highly discussed side intake pegs. Excited!!!

I hope it comes bundled!! Would explain why they sold Fokker after shin.

Placed my preorder, but not entirely sold on this. That bad photoshop didn't help. Y22,230, far steep for a valk with inferior PT mechanism and as far as we know, no accessories yet.
