  1. alright, sounds good!! can't wait for mine to arrive
  2. ok, all the hard work with the joints is about 98% done here's the nose also, manage to improve the 'pelvis area' and locate it higher making it more line art accurate, the small highlight is where the peg use to be thighs movement...you can also notice I manage to improve the legs and make they angle outward filled empty space in this part, left a little space to allow the pelvis area to house in here; also, when attaching the front part of the torso, I was only left with a very narrow space to glue and it would most likely break, so I added two pegs for better attachement you can see here, I can manage 4 degrees of movement, if you look closely, the front part of the torso get's push a bit forward, it can manage this and not break cause the pegs I added are rubbery and can manage the stress here's the pelvis area housed it can stand! with the backpack, I will not be modding this area, it actually ended up looking quite nice little pose for you guys that's it for today, overall, I'm pretty happy with how this is coming out, and thanks for all the encouragement guys
  3. WOW!!, I really should try that Alclad stuff, looks amazing, and judging by your incredibly VF-1S battroid, I know this will end up nothing but great
  4. HAHA! what's going on here? EDIT: removed pics...updated
  5. yeah, I googled it last night too after posting, looks very interesting, also found a neat little article about making small recast bits out of epoxy putty itself, trying it right now... the kit itself is small, maybe if everything turns out well, I could make a copy of every piece on epoxy and use this copy to make molds for resin... haha!
  6. oh man >EXO< I could sure use those joints, I think toy-wave.com sells them at 10.00 USD, but you got them for free, ENVY!! I had to butchered my roy vf-1s!! hahaha!! Fly4victory, the idea of recasting had crossed my mind, problem is, I don't know squat about how to do it and what is needed...
  7. ok, nothing big, reshaping and improving stuff when looking at the arms I felt they look too long, the elbow revy joint was standing out, so I open more space on the arm to house the joint, and also work on it to improve how much the joint could flex... here's comparing with the revy getting similar flexing was looking also at the crazy amount of putty I was suppose to sand to reshape the leggs, but I decided a much much easier solution, added a small angled peg on the 'pelvis area' that will allow the leggs to be angled outward like the revy ok, now I just want to point this out, I initially ignored how the revy torso joint was positioned and did this, notice that if I try to move the joint up, the cockpit will clash with the joint itself so I learned my lesson and followed the revys way now here you can see that the torso can flex quite a bit finally, I'm debating myself if I should do this or not...when I cut the backpack area so the shoulder joint could have more space, the thrusters got crammed and look too close, according to line art they should be more apart and have a bar between them, I trying to see if it's worth the hassle to cut and reposition them and add the bar between... I don't know
  8. didn't get as much work as I wanted to yesterday... here's testing how most of it look I took the vf-1 hands and gunpod borrowed for a few secs arms looks good to me, but the legs looked weird until I checked the revoltechs and realized the leggs are not exactly straight, they are angled outward like a cowboy, so more heavy puttying and sanding to reshape the legs, don't worry about that ugly gap on the nose, I'm already sanding it smooth too, oh yeah, small little gripe, the wings should cover a more wider space on the back to not make it look too skinny, but I think the FAST pack will cover this space
  9. haha! thanks guys, well, the project proved harder than what I expected, this is actually my first time that I'm doing some severe modification to a kit, but I'm really enjoying this ok, didn't do much today, it was a boring day of filling and sanding, had to fix a lot of the kit imperfection and holes, I was looking at the crappy gunpod the kit brought, thinking of modding to be more accurate or just make it from scratch, I think that by tomorrow night I should have most of the kit ready to try putting all the joints together and try some initial poses
  10. hahaha!!! we could, but yours look more complicated, you are doing some serious modding also on the kit to make the SAP removable and man, MechTech Deadalous scares the crap out of me, I have no skills for that!
  11. ouch, was she mad at you or something?? looks better than before, don't know where it broke, but you can't see any damage... good stuff
  12. well...I'm not surprised, BanDai has always made shitty macross kits...geez, if they can't make the model look right, I can't imagine the 1/60 dx crap...why didn't hasegawa pick this up??
  13. hahaha, for that price, I¿ll rather custom weather it myself and surely have a one of a kind vf-1s, hahahaha
  14. that's basically it, some disasembly and unscrewing may be required like the 1/48, just take the 1/60 vf-1s head off, paint the arrows red, put it on the hikaru vf-1a and their you go, you got a hiki vf-1s... only problem is that the number are tampoed, you'll have a hiki vf-1s skull 011, ehhehehehe
  15. WOW!!, this thing is massive, how long have you estimate it to take for you to finish it?? Deadalus punch!!!!!
  16. Original robocop was perfect, robocop 2 was decent, robocop 3 sucked ass I actually hated how they just forgot about robocop's pain for becoming a robot and loosin his family, and killing Lewis on the 3rd was incredibly cheesy, anyway, they can't remake this, they're going to butcher one of my favorite childhood memories, they should just make a re-release adding extra scenes and CGI instead of the stop-motion (although, it was incredibly cool) ugg...MGM remake?? ORION ruled!!!
  17. maybe it's a super dimensional space mole, hahaha!
  18. that's one hell of a nice looking valk there, love the color! hmm... chipping sucks, did you apply some sort of clear cloating to help prevent it?? by the way, I contacted Takatoys a few months ago and got of him a few stickers he had left, maybe you can contact him if he has any left
  19. haha...yeah, too much to read, anyway, QC seems as good as the YF-21, everything nice and tight, only problems found was that MW member Alex was beheaded, a picture surface on 2chan about a broken hinge on the arm but noone has encountered this problem but are afraid to manhandle the hinge in fear it could break...
  20. haha, they'll definately, fock' you up if you mess with 'em, hahaha anyway, ouch, the skull sticker on the 1/60 v1.0 is hideous compared with the others that are tampoed...
  21. seems more like poor packaging issues... missing parts or crammed the wrong way...hope mine arrived safe and sound
  22. Congratulations man, you are THE luckiest man on Earth cake - awesome! ranka fun - super awesome! your arm hairier than the gubaba doll - priceless, hahaha! just kidding sick collection, love the Q-raus!!
  23. woa...nice, keep it up
  24. heard good things about the iwata eclipse also, planning on buying one soon, but damn Yamato making me use that money on their beautiful valks, ehhehe nice work mate! what custom decal are you planning on it?
  25. now, back to the leggs in here I increased the joint housing so the leg could flex more, comparison shot, before and after now, you can see here, how I could make it flex almost at a ~110° angle compare to an almost ~45° it was doing before now, all parts puttied, I actually have to fill very big gaps and spaces, so I'm using epoxy putty, that thing left me with one hell of a headache cause it smelled like raw sewer, anyway, just hightlighting the cockpit, putty to fill gaps and make it look natural, extended the knees to cover the joint ok, that's it for today, time to leave the putty to dry overnight so I can shape it properly tommorrow... thanks for looking
