The Xbox 360 Thread Elite Edition
Steve68 replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
So nobody has downloaded the new Bioshock demo on live yet? I'm only 50% complete -
Oddly enough I had this same question the other day and Anasazi37 helped me out. If you have Photoshop click CTRL+L and a little window should pop up. There are 3 eyedroppers in the window. Click on the white one and then click a blue part of the scan of the decal. You may have to do this more than once as there are probably several different shades of blue in the scan. Then do an auto contrast ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+L as the eyedropper tends to fade the image a little.

The Xbox 360 Thread Elite Edition
Steve68 replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
That article just says that production on 65nm chips has started. It doesn't give a date that 360's will start showing up in stores with the new chip. -
a better ending to the title of this thread would be: produced all of their 1/72 Macross kits in 1/48 scale?

fantastic four : rise of the silversurfer

That's a little hypocritical don't you think? This just in, Tony Stark successfully takes over Microsoft and in other news Superman returns from another failed attempt to locate Krypton. It's a movie based on a comic book. So yes in their movie world they can have you believe anything they want. Yes I thought overall the movie was bad. It was however better than the first. Alba should not have been cast and Doom's costume was weak at best. Unlike most in here I think Thing should have been CGI. I thought the CGI Hulk looked great. Yes CGI has been done a lot, but I don't think studios should just ignore the technology because it's here to stay. To me Thing LOOKS like a guy in a suit. I would rather have him look like good CGI than a guy in a suit. I mean he only marginally looks better than this. http://www.funwarehouse.co.uk/acatalog/Fan...umes_Adult.html Laurence Fishburne as SS voice was perfect though.- 97 replies

Didn't see this posted yet, but how about a Terminator spinnoff called the Sarah Connor Chronicles? http://tv.ign.com/objects/850/850896.html

Why would you pay $400 for a new unit? If your 360 dies and MS wont fix it for free they don't charge you a full $400. Plus even if they did you could just go out and buy a core system for $299. So you are saying that there is a 100% failure rate? Do you even have a shred of evidence to back up your speculation? MS official line is 3% which would amount to over 300,000 consoles at this point based on sales to date. Do you know how many have failed? Try a random phone survey of around 2000 to 5000 360 owners then come back and report your findings. Otherwise your just trolling. Online polls are of little value. Most people that have their original 360 don't run around posting about that fact on web polls. I'm still on my launch 2005 360 with no red rings. You already did you said it was 100%

Ace Combat 6:Skies of Liberation for XBOX360!
Steve68 replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I read that there is going to be a version of this game bundled with a flight stick for $150. I'm not 100% sure this is true though. -
To the OP, one of the funniest thread titles ever.

Ghost in the Shell Live Action - March 31, 2017
Steve68 replied to Mechinyun's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
They should make it entirely CG like Final Fantasy. I think more movies should use 100% CG especially sci fi movies.- 751 replies

I bought my 360 a little over a week before christmas 2005 and have never had any problems. It sees tons of use and I also have the HD-DVD add on drive as well. From day one I put little rubber feet under my 360 though, and they raise it up about 1/2 an inch. I also have it horizontal and the power brick has nothing around it either. Also it isn't resting on carpet.

Luke, Have you thought about building a VF-1? If so how would you manage the pitch? With the thrust vectoring nozzles like the SV or with a movable control surface? Steve

Does anyone make the tank that the Major fights at the end of the movie? The one in this thread sort of looks like a toilet with legs. Although the remote controlled one in the post above is pretty slick. -
I haven't seen this show since the late 1970's so my memory is a little fuzzy, but if that little cell of the Black Tiger is from the show then I'd say Bandai completely pooched the kit. The vertical fin looks wrong and the wings look too short in chord. Also the distance between the base of the veritcal fin and the back of the canopy is way too short on the model. Steve

I like how it says they borrowed one from Boeing. Oh that's rich. Boeing didn't make the orbiters, Rockwell did. Boeing never manufactured an orbiter. Right now a joint venture company called United Space Alliance formed in the 1990's maintains the orbiters at Kennedy Space Center for NASA. USA is a joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed Martin (Boeing bought Rockwell's Aerospace program in 1996). Columbia is NOT STS-1. STS-1 was the first orbital flight of Columbia which was OV-102. Almost every single statement on that page is wrong.

According to HF it isn't the Gsys one. At least it doesn't come with the white metal gear and it's cheaper and in an email from HF they said it wasn't the Gsys one. It sounds like they can get the Gsys one, but you will pay more. Steve
-
Why not just get the Hobby Fan recast? http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info.php?p...-1S+w%2F+Weapon It's cheaper still than the GSystems version, although the HF version does not have the white metal gear. Steve

I'm pretty sure that just straight Clorox does the job on chrome plated plastic. Steve

There is a flight simulator engine out there that you can add this too. There are limitations to the engine though i.e. it uses gravity so space might be hard to simulate. However Macross Zero was entirely inside Earths gravity so that shouldn't be too big of an issue. http://www.targetware.net/ I suggested a Macross mod in this thread: http://www.targetware.net/modules.php?op=m...opic&t=7124 Steve

OMFG, check this little sucker out. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=563625 It will allow you to hook up a mouse and keyboard to your 360 and play games with them!!!!! Now I'm ready for some fps goodness on my 360. Steve

I haven't looked at the settings menu on Halo/Halo2 on XBOX in a while, but I thought you could turn the auto aiming off. Maybe not though. Steve

I almost never hit the wrong key in battle, because I configure every single FPS game I have with the exact same controls on my keyboard. Keyboard mouse is the only way to play a FPS game. What would absolutely be the best thing to happen would be for Microsoft to simultaneously release the XBOX 360 version of Halo3 and a PC version of Halo3 and allow them to connect to each other for multi-player games. Talk about owned! I think you would see a ton of extremely upset game pad players. But that will never happen. Steve

I checked my DYRL "FX" version and it looks to be the AC bootleg afterall. There are actually advertisements in the subtitles. I forget what it is exactly but it someone's email address @yahoo.com Does anyone know where to get a real FX version? Steve
