Basic semantics, bub. Now there is a major difference between just being a fan and an actual "fanboy/fangirl" which is right up Otaku-dom. A fan of an aircraft (real or fictional) may want to learn how it's emchanics work and even dream of flying one some day if it's possible. The fanboy will actually not only be obsessed with it but try to rational how the fictional aircraft coudl really be created and how it could possibly exist. Never caring that such technology is quite impossible for a numbe rof reasons. A fan will buy models (toys or kits) of something they like and even make a collection of this. The Fanboy will not only make a colelction but try to get every single one possible not for the sake of value but for the sake of owning it. If possible said fanboy will try to build one as clsoe to scale as possible. A fan may joke or occasionally comment how "cute" an animated character (ink or polygon) is. The fanboy will be masterbating to said animated character at night, wishign to see said animated character in the buff and or/wishing the character was real to have sex with said character. A fan will be upset, bummed, or just saddened that a favorite show is taken off the air. The fanboy will do whatever means to keep that show on (like say raising over 3 million dollars). I can go on but that's just a few examples of differences. I see alot of fans on MW in column A (a fan) but few in column B (a fanboy). I'm in column A since while I'm a fan of many different science fiction works, my fandom does not go much beyond collecting figures (to simulate murdering everyone else and destroying the world of course ). Yet, despite that you son't see me drooling everytime a new series comes out, cosplaying as a transvestite (man Leiahs in SW premiere lines), constantly trying to point out how "cute" certain characters are, or even memorisizing whole scenes from certain animes and looking for some deep meaning within it (most Eva fans).... I'm not even close and thsoe are things seen as "acceptible" fan behavior. No comparison from me (or anyone else on MW that I know of for that matter) to a trekkie fan who put money to revive a dead series. That would be like Keith donating his life savings to continue Macross 7 (somethign I doubt even he'd do). So don't tell me about people living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. My house is made of brick. OH yeah edit: If typo corrections are your only form of "defense" then you really need to get your reading impaired brain some ORIGINALITY to insult someone. That's when I'd be worried about scratches.... I've watched the entire series on DVD once...and never again do I plan to watch them again. Beside...I have the entire series on my computer...so I have my backups. I second what Oihan says. Putting CDs and DVDs into slip cases garners a whole new set of problems. Particularly scratches (you gotta look out curved scratches as they are what make things skip and loop). Also unless it's a very sturdy DVD slip case, it can cause bending oevr time which still leads to cracking.

Eh.. Still have my Sega CD version. I have to agree with those who think Kojima is shooting himself in the foot for not remaking this game on popular plaform like PS2. (that and Policenauts) BTW Rogers, I've seen auctions for this game end at just $28 and $32 in the past.

Would you care to clarify what was "flawed and outdated" about the dual shock design? I've used just about every 1st party game controler and found them to be all garbage compared to Sony's design. Microsoft's are either too big or have the buttons in akward positions, it hurts to hold the Dreamcast controler after about an hour and the D pad has a habit of biting into your thumb, the Gamecube, is by far the worst, too damn small. Sony didn't need to redesign their controler, it was fine as is. I agree with everything you said except the GC controller. I think the size is a perfect middle ground so that female gamers (like myself) don't have to struggle holding it like I did the XB and DC controllers. Those made my hands hurt nect to the N64's analog surface. The GC's controller flaw is the button design from the location of the X and Y buttons, the size of the A button to the stupidly placed Z trigger. Thank goodness for controller port converters. Sega Saturn controllers were the best IMO. Sony's ego about being "the best" is just the icing on the cake. I'm still rolling from all the BS spewed yesterday from Sony Imageworks' presentation yesterday (the success of Spider-man 2 didn't help things at all). To say they just assume people will buy their products is a serious understatement.

You'd be surprised how different. Firts off there is no 7-Zark-7 or Rover-1. Next there is far much more violence and mature themes (nudity, graphic violence, gratuitous swearing). Much of the best stories were left out completely from BOTP and the language complete cut out (Joe aka G-2 had a very favorite 4 letter word he said at least twice per episode). Some of it doe seem corny this day and age.

Now that you mention a possibility of MASK on DVD.... I hope any DVD releases would contain extras like international openings. The French MASK opening was always longer and features a guitar solo in the middle of that was just great to listen to. Extras like that would be great tho it wouldn't matter for the TC as fara s lyrics go.

But are they remasterd? $14.98 retail sounds kinda too cheap leading me to believe they are not remastered.

I plan on giving the free DVD to a friend or relative. Yep, my sister just told me she wants Kiki so I'll get that free DVD for her.

Why? I don't see a need for a liev action Kiki as it will be kind alike Sabrina the teenage Witch the way things are produced here int he US. Plus, that free DVD offer is useless to me. I own allt he DVDs already and have had extra copies to the point I've donated them to college's animation library......

The captions are for real. bsu and I were hunting thru internet listed stores to see if they were fake. They are not edited in any fashion. That's why I question ewilen's explanation on some of them. One of which was subtitled the "Amazing Afterlife of Lois Lane" (after Supes kills her of course). Still disturbing.

I spent the last 20 minutes or so checking to see if those were all fakes/photoshop/fanart. That is just insane. Alot of it is very misogynistic. Particularly towards Lois. They seemed to have really HATED her. Seriously did they try to sell those comics to little girls??
