  1. Why you never thought to a queadluun Rau Millia anime version??
  2. Yes, this model kit is really complexe, it took 15 days for me for completing just the preliminary assembling to point out what to modify and understand how it works. I noticed that there are a lot of joint which are too stiff and need to be softed to avoid the risk of breaking something while handling it. But i also noticed that all the problems you had about the gaps in the chest plate and the legs are due to the fact that (as there are no locking mechanisms in articulations like in toys) the arms and legs must be closed at the right angle and in the right position, possibly some joints must be softed (exept the knees which must remain stiff enough to sustain the legs weight in fighter). When all this is accomplished properly there are a minimum amount of gaps (wich obviously can not be avoided enterely) but there is no need at all of magnets like you did. I thought that the vf-1 was complexe but this vf-25 is on another level (and it s even 5 years older ) and this makes me wonder what Bandai could have done on the VF-1 if they had put a decent amount of professionalism on developing it...
  3. So are you basically saying the image in the bandai booklet is wrong? P.S. Most of the parts can be disassembled and substituted even with the completed model. The only part wich can not be changed is the groin and i m trying to figure out a way to modify it using magnets
  4. Hello guys i need somebody help me with this model kit which i am preliminarly building. I m correcting all joints wich are too stiff impeding a correct transformation, but there is a point in the booklet i really can t understand. I prepared an image i hope you ll have no trouble to understand: basically you can see the leg with and without the armor. the pivots were the action is are highlighted with a red and a blue circlle. As you can see in the first image on the left the lower part of the gerwalk articulation (we say the thigh) stay higher, in the second image it looks like the thigh has rotated a bit down around the blue pivot (in the fourth image you can see how it looks internally). Now THE POINT IS that is not possible rotationg the thigh down around the blue pivot because the higher gerwalk part impedes it, the only way to move down the thigh would be rotating around the red pivot BUT this would bend the leg and the two part of the leg i highlighted in green and purple would not stay alligned anymore, more oor less like it happens in the vf-1 super valkyrie legs. But in the image in the bookllet the 2 parts are alligned!!! Is this a mistake by Bandai? Does this mean this model kit can not be transformed properly in fighter mode? I'd like to have the opinion of WM Cheng which i ll contact privately anyway. I'm also going to find a way to make the groin armor part be removable without disassembling the whole valkyrie part... any suggestion from users who already dealt with this model kit is welcome.
  5. Hello. I recently discovered my Hasegawa Armored Vf-0S can not be mounted without armour. when i bought it i thought it was a regular battroid kit with armour pieces to add but with my great delusion i discovered that the armour pieces were completely different ones but still i thought i could make it switchable using a few magnets. At a closer look it seems there is no way doing that and i d need 2 different model kit one VF-0S Battroid without and one with armour. I hate this things, more, Hasegawa plastic and molds quality is terrible, some panel lines should even be rescribed... Is there anybody who know about this kit and can say if there is any way to convert this kit to a Battroid+Armour kit??
  6. Hello. Seing what Bandai did with the Delta transforming kits do you think guys there is any possibility Bandai could release a 1/72 model kit version of the beatiful YF 19 dx?
  7. Probably a collision with an asteroid...
  8. hi Andrea. I have the same kit but i don t know when i m going to build it. Have you ever thounbk about modifing it so that you can show it without armour as well?
  9. Yes that would be great... Bandai is highly neglecting SDF Macross model kits line since... let s say... 20 years??
  10. Thank you, nice wip. I ll try to paint the whole model.
  11. Thanks. It was a big effort for me. i m quite satisfied except the pigments i used on feeth didn t ended looking as i expected... the feeth should be soiled with earth
  12. i have also a vf-27 to do... it looks gorgeous and scary.. one of the biggest issue i see with Frontier kits is the fighter patterns wich are made by decals that can be ripped off with friction... as i see the sv-262 i imagine all those golden decals chipped by transformation
  13. yes, it is. I know Frontier and Delta are better kits... this makes me more angry toward Bandai dudes because for me it s the proof they had the means to do a better job but they didn't, maybe the project ended out to be longer than what they thought and they forced it to be released prematurely because they had the 35th anniversary deadline... i have 2 Frontier kits to bouild but i m kind of intimidated by them: The super vf-25g and armored vf-25s... also i d like to build them so that i can change the armor parts with the normal parts and build them in both ways.... what do you think?
  14. Wave 1/72 Phalanx with chipping and weatherig done with Ammo colours. This model kit is a bit loose but i like it.
  15. Bandai 1/72 vf-1a Mass Production. This model kit is a total disaster, pieces don t fit well togheter, design errors are countless, you touch it and a piece fall off. But i think it looks good. I won't never give my trust to Bandai in the future, they do not deserve the trust to do a preorder after they released such a crap. They could have done a gorgeous job but i suppose they had to hurry up to release it for the 35 anniversary and didn t continue perfectioning it enough before launching it in the market. Hope you like it. Done following the Wm Cheng tutorials and personal advices.
  16. It would be nice if once in a while hasegawa would release a kit with correct proportions... this looks much better then the cruiser mode wich have almost totally wrong proportions. Instead the Yamato was perfect: look here As you can see in the hasegawa the central main body part is too long (it has almost a section too much) but it is correct in the storm attacker version. In the Yamato is right obviously. Also legs are not correct in the hasegawa expecially the thighs. If i noticed this defects before buying it i would n t have built and painted it... But hasegawa is not a cheap alternative to the Arcadia.
  17. As always just Dyrl pilots, no anime pilots...
  18. What happened to the reissue?
  19. Well sincerely i didn t check all threads in the forum but it seems to me that a lot of threads have this problem, if not all of them...
