1. I agree, take your time and use care transforming the 1/48 Yamato ... speed isn't worth breaking the thing. It would kill me, if I broke it.
2. Possibly "Max TV 1A, Hayao TV 1A" - I was never impressed with these paint schemes. I think Toynami's MPC #2 was the same as a Hayao TV 1A, and it looks crappy in fighter mode!! White, with a tan brown trim? Meh. No thanks.
3. Just a thought: after reviewing the newbie thread, why doesn't Yamato release a 1/48 DYRL Kakizaki VF-1A as a limited edition? Like the original LV? I mean, how hard could it be? Take your VF-1A Hikaru and change its red colour areas to green, right? Since its a limited edition, then collectors would snatch it up in a sec, no? AND They could reissue the 1/48 DYRL VF-1A Max as well!!!
4. Here's some pics from yahoo jp auction: 402921 Sweet. Interesting pastel colour choice with the "WoodLand" theme. Thanks Major Tom for posting the pic!!!! Still not a fan of the LV 2 though .....
5. Ohhhh man, you're in for a treat! It is just like sex. but not messy... or contagious... or want to coudle with you after one or two transformations... no, seriously. Gramatica editada. 402820 Well, also, after one or two initial transformations, you'll realize that you have a lot more fun trying different positions. In fact, the amount of positions you can do with these things is awesome! You'll want all your friends to see, plus you can post pics here on Macrossworld. 402920 Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha .......
6. Definitely a cool idea ... sign me up!! Although my numbers will be low ......
7. Aw c'mon Graham, it's not that bad. Check it out, here's my "IT'S CLOBBERING TIME!" Thing impression done with a Yammy 1/60 GBP 402086 Thanks for posting the pic jenius ... it definitely does not compare quality-wise to the 1/48 version!! Can't wait to get the GBP 1/48 ...... next month probably ....
8. Maybe to offset the lackluster sales of the stand-alone stealth valkyrie, Yamato might start issuing "stealth type" fast pack kits!!
9. FYI: Lost & Found Toys (aka Los) has them for $89 pre-order http://laftoys.com/product_info.php?products_id=41
10. I hear ya Kyatsu .... but the 0S is the "classic" skull leader man ....
11. Please, please take a picture of the ENTIRE collection!!! I need to see "the promised land" .... 401696 go here. I need to take a pic again but I havent unpacked them as they are sitting in the basement... 402525 HO - LEE - S---!!!!! Godzilla - I bow down, way down. All hail "THE" king of Macross collecting ........ wow. Thanks soooooo much for linking to some pics.
12. Haterist - Hilarious mate!! Crasis - Best of luck tracking down the ARII 1/6 figures you need.
13. Blasphemy! Let us not forget the 15 or so years where there was NO Macross product at any time. 402579 Crasis - I completely agree!!!
14. 402493 Thanks for the info Mowe ... I hear ya: my VF-1S Hikaru is "naked" and needs some add ons. Actually, I'm fairly certain that I'll buy the GBP armour next ... it looks way cool. Unless I cave and get a VF-0S instead ..... decisions, decisions....
15. Yes, welcome to the 1/48th club!!! Once you get your first 1/48 Yamato valkyrie - you never go back!! I just joined the "club" myself a month ago and love 'em!!! The super stealth is sweeeeetttttt!!! Love the strike/super fast pack that came with it. Now I need more ....
16. Seriously?? Whoa, I can't believe it! The whole coolness of the 1/48 Valkyries is how the transformation process works ... as the advertising implies - perfect transformation with no "add on" parts. Very, very cool!! Dude - you should transform it man ... it is awesome!!!
17. To tell you the truth I found myself cramped for space with the Detolfs, its fine if you only have a few things to show off. I figure the combination between the two gives me a even medium. Here ya go! 402364 Sweet poster!! That's from the show, right?
18. Cool .... man, my wallet is going to vapourize ..... Gotta get the VF-0S, then this ..... Yamato, you are killing me!
19. Thanks for the reference to the other thread Godzilla. And holy crap you have a lotta valks!! 12 stealths and 8 LV 2s, you have got to be kidding, right? 401569 Why do you think I am called Godzilla? Well I didnt add my MPC count nor my Mospeada since this is a Macross Forum. I am seriously thinking of selling my MPCs Vf-1. I didnt get the YF-1R b/c I thought it was fugly. 402309 You got Mospeada stuff too?!?! Now I am REALLY jealous!!! Frack! All I have are 2 Toynami MPC Alphas. I dream of one day owning a Gakken 1/35 Alpha ... but their price point on eBay is friggin expensive!!!
20. Luclin999 - I hear ya. I treat my 1/48 as gently as possible when playing/transforming them, fearing that I might break something!!! And I know, I gotta get me a DYRL Max ... it was my favourite - not sure why, but it is!!
21. The more I see the VF-0S ... the more I feel "pulled to the dark side" to buy it!!
22. And for the 351st time, they are as butt-ugly now as they ever were! Sorry, but just because you can make something out of something else doesn't make it cool. I could scuplt a valkyrie out of my cat's turds, and it would still be a butt ugly piece of sh!t. 402199 Hey, sorry for posting "old" news, but "new" news for me! My bad.
23. Actually, you have got the order wrong. The factory finishes the production run and then the toys are shipped out from the factory and from there make their way to the retail stores, usually through a chain of wholesalers and distributors to the retail stores where they are bought by you, the customer. So by the time the toy is 'released', it's technically already out of production, or at least that producton run is over. Yamato production runs are not that high quantity. Remember, these are high-end collectors grade figures, with a limited customer base, not cheap mass-market toys that you get with a Happy Meal that are produced in the millions. So basically, the toys are not kept in continuous production and as I mentioned above, by the time the toy hits the store shelves, the factory has already moved on and is producing something else. Whether Yamato reissues toys, i.e. asks the factory to create another production run, basically depends on whether the toy sold well and whether they get enough orders for a second production run. As to whether you should buy a 1/48 GBP or 1/60 VF-0S, that really depends on which one you like best. The GBP initially sold out very fast, but most shops (at least the ones where I live) do have stock again. The VF-0S sold out very quickly, but a second batch is supposed to be on the way next month. Graham 402077 Thanks for the clarification Graham! Since the VF-0S is still a relatively new release, I'm inclined to save up for the GBP armour set!! Unless Yamato reissues Max's DYRL 1/48!!!
24. Thanks for posting the pic jenius! Yep, I definitely think the 1/48 Yamato fast packs are way better!! Guess I won't bother trying to acquire them for my MPCs. I'm better off saving the cash for more Yamato stuff!
