1. Not sure if this is the technically correct forum, but have you seen this link: http://foundrydx.com/vgroup.html You can buy Lego kits of Macross Valkyries!!! That transform!! They even have fast packs!!! Holy S---!! This guy is awesome!! There are also other kits from other anime series as well, like Gundam!! Sweet!!!
2. I would love to get a DYRL VF-1A 1/48 Max reissue!!
3. Please Graham tell Yamato to reissue DYRL VF-1A 1/48 Max!!! Have you seen my signature?!?
4. Wow, I couldn't disagree more. I've been wanting accurate character sculpts of the Macross cast for over 20 years. Macross is FAR more than just transforming planes, IMHO. I'm actually surprised how little buzz there is around here for the 1/6 line. It's sad, really, as this news has me far more excited than some 1/48 repaints. 401966 Dude, I agree it is nice to get something "other" than valkyrie mecha related to Macross. But the cost is pretty high!!! Actually, ARII released six different 1/6 PVC Macross character figures several years back. They were pretty nice. I think they had planned on releasing 12 of them, but only 6 got made. You can probably find 'em on eBay if you look around. As I recall, they were priced pretty reasonably ... not friggin $79.99!! Plus, look what happened to Toynami's bust series: they made 3 of 'em, then cancelled the rest due to poor sales. Same could happen here: they say they will make more, but always reserve the right to bail out - thus disappointing collectors. Hell, what the heck happened to Robotech the Shadow Chronicles?!? Anyways, like someone else said earlier: "remember, it IS Toynami".
5. NightmareB4macross - D'oh! You are absolutely right! My bad .... big F - Sound logic, I like your approach. Thanks to the rest of ya for your feedback.
6. Sharrdd - Go with the Super steath mate, it is friggin sweeeeeeetttt!!!
7. Ha ha ha ... that last one is killer!!! Thanks for sharing!
8. Ginrai - Sounds like you are a fellow Robotech fan! Cool!
9. Holy cow?!? You serious? Can you take a picture of "the collection"?
10. Well, since Yamato reissued the VF-1A Hikaru, and Roy's fighter a few times already ... I am HOPING that they will do the same for Max!!
11. 401941 Thanks for the info man! Appreciate it. Guess I will post on the Wanted list later today .... thanks again mate!
12. Just wondering: I know the 1/48 Yamato valkyries get released, then go "out of production" and are sometimes re-issued. Check. But what about the valkyrie accessories? Y'know, like the fast packs & GDB armour? Is their availability the same? In other words, if I decide to wait and buy a GDB armour set later, will it be more difficult (and likely more expensive) later on? I'm asking because I'm torn between buying a new valkyrie fighter (probably the VF-0S) or the GDB armour. Ideally, I would like to avoid paying the high secondary market prices if I wait too long. (e.g., eBay) Any input/advice appreciated. Thanks in advance,
13. Hey Kyatsu - Where'd you get the VF-1A Max? Any chance they might have some more?? I am dying to get one ....
14. No way I'm getting the "Man doll"!! I'd rather get another 1/48 Valk ....
15. Quite the interesting thread ... 1) Married 2) Longtime Macross fan, and was a casual buyer of cool valkyries every so often, along with Robotech related stuff. Just starting collecting the 1/48 Yamatos, won't try to be a completist - but selective purchases only. Yamato - please reissue the DYRL Max valk!!! 3) Budgeting is tight, since my other main hobby is collecting DVD movies. I am still working on a plan to acquire more valks ....
16. Are Toynami MPC really that bad? I've always wondered if i sould at least get one... I own 55... Is that sick? Nah 401816 Yes, regretfully they are. Now that I have "seen the light" I know better. Compared to the 1/48 Yamatos they just don't hold a candle (or a gunpod for that matter). Nice packaging though ... gotta give Toynami that!! The sad thing is, a lot of Robotech fans who love the mecha are not informed/aware of the 1/48 Yamatos (like I was for awhile), because you can't mention them on the Robotech site forums. It's against their "terms of use", because Toynami gets annoyed when you mention anything other than the MPC.
17. Get a 1/48 Yamato mate - trust me, you will NOT be disappointed. I hesitated for a loooonnnng time because of their price point, and I was very happy with the 1/55 Bandai re-issues. But I finally gave into temptation this month ... man, why did I wait so long? The 1/48 Yamato Valks are a thing of beauty!!
18. So CdnShockwave - what do you think? Did you like the 1/48 valk you got? Have you bought anymore since? It has been almost 7 months ... I would assume your now fully addicted, no?
19. Thanks Vermillion! Yes it is an Buy It Now for $150 and then $15 shipping. He is an Ebay seller and has quite a few left, about 17. Also he has 100% feedback... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 He just got his in and like I said shipped mine out today so...hopefully in a few days he will be mine! And then I can show him off to my Transformer friends over at Seibertron.com (I am apart of a thread on their toy forum devoted to Macross and Robotech). 401702 that's the guy I bought my zero from. pretty good service, asnwers email promptly but he's using parcel post...so dont get your hopes too high on getting your stuff this week....mine was sent last week and it arrived today. aaajin EDITED : parcel post....not media mail 401765 Thanks for the heads up Aaajin! That kinda sucks I am really looking forward to the VF-0S! I have been drooling over its photo's for a awhile. Though I want him now! But I have 6 other Valkeries coming in the mail (I baught 7 in the time spance of like almsot 2 weeks) So hopefully a few of the others will show up and I won't be to disapointed! 401776 Thanks for the eBay referral AC Starscream - will have to check it out. Although, his item description says he is out of stock until June!! you must have ordered the last one!! Guess I will have to wait. And you've bought 7 valks within the span of 2 weeks! Wow. Were they all 1/48 scale or 1/60, or a combination of both? Which ones? Man, you must have a phat wallet mate ... cool!
20. One thought that does come to mind: I guess the 1/60 yamato valks would go well scale-wise with my "classic" exo-squad 7 inch destroids I have around. Although, the destroids are all still sealed in their packages! I was lucky enough to complete a full set (all 8 of 'em) via eBay the last 4 years.
21. Please, please take a picture of the ENTIRE collection!!! I need to see "the promised land" ....
22. Sorry, just a newbie. Started the Yamato Valkyrie collection this month: DYRL 1/48 Vf-1A (Hikaru): 1 Variations 1/48 Vf-1J (Stealth FP): 1 An amateur I know ....
23. This question is supposed to be a joke, right? Graham 401668 Graham - you are right on!! Actually, I was honestly wondering ... ever since I got the super stealth, I love the fast packs on my valkyries. Since I do own 2 MPCs, I was curious if it was even worth trying to get one of them a set of fast packs. Right now I only have two 1/48's, the other being a Hikaru VF-1S. I'm debating whether to upgrade it to fast pack ... or just wait to save for either the GDB armour or another 1/48 valkyrie instead. Tough decisions ahead .... Wish I had a bigger budget.
24. People are buying them you should too. 401533 I've a tight budget and small wallet!! LOL I'd rather save the case to acquire more valks! At least for now .... 401570 Then why did you start this topic to begin with then? You tease!!! 401581 Whoa - sorry, did not mean to offend stuffparties!!! Just wanted to ask about the stickers/decals is all!! Apologies.
