  1. Because the House of Saud are apostates according to Al Qaeda and other extremist groups. Remember back during Gulf War 1 when Bin Laden offered to have his fighters protect Saudi Arabia from Iraq, but they opted for the West instead? Yeah... Or they'll just turn around and use it against us. Wouldn't be surprised.
  2. That is just the stupidest poo ever. As for the F-14s, when I was at AMARG in February there were only a few F-14s left. Unless they've squirreled a few away from the main bus route, most of them in those pictures are toast.
  3. I took it to mean that it didn't really matter if he was back to reality. Ugh, I really hope not. Or, at the very least, Nolan controls everything and does not turn it into The Matrix sequels. I'm still reeling from those.
  4. Oh hell yes they made it a BR + DVD combo pack. I don't have a BluRay player yet so that is perfect.
  5. I had no idea they already re-released those two without the coating. Once (or if) it starts crumbling off, you can have a go and just rub it away using water and a paper towel like I did. I think if you let it sit around longer the bond between the coating and the plastic of the canopy would become even weaker and you could take it off a lot easier. As I said before, I wouldn't let the coating prevent you from purchasing anything since it is so easy to remove if it becomes a problem. The exploding shoulders, on the other hand are another issue.
  6. TV Max and the Cannon Fodder 1A both have the rainbow coating. It really isn't a big deal, though, because if it starts to chip or fall off it is very easy to remove. I did this with my original Roy 1S (with the bad shoulders) before I sold it and it if I didn't tell anyone it used to have the rainbow coating they'd be none the wiser.
  7. Man alive, the prices for this new stuff is atrocious. Likewise with Transformers.
  8. The Toynami's are fine for now. The Bandai's are too expensive at this point.
  9. I haven't been keeping up on any Macross news, so I had no idea about the FREAKING GLAUG! and I just ordered the Regult. I think Toynami may have redeemed itself. Make the rest of the enemy mecha. I'll buy the Valks to go with them, no matter how crappy they are compared to the Yamato 1/60s. Yamatos are just too expensive for me to buy in bulk and this 1/100 scale gives me the chance to have one of each. I'll always keep my lovely 1/60 v2 Cannon Fodder as my centerpiece, though. My horrible Hobby Master/Century Wings die-cast plane habit needs to be fed, too. It's awful.
  10. I thought this was great when I stumbled on it the other day. Hopefully it's a sign of better things to come.
  11. Understandable. I just figured I'd ask. I've been consolidating everything under the new username for a while, now. And yeah, everyone everywhere likes HoveringCheesecake. lol who changed eugimon's title?
  12. I'm not sure what the guidelines are, but is there any chance I can get my user name changed from "meh_cd" to "HoveringCheesecake"? I no longer use meh_cd.
  13. I'm about the farthest thing from a comic book nerd (but I'm still a nerd) and I loved it. I'll definitely see it more than once, so I'll wait to decide how it measures up to the first movie.
  14. Anyone have any info regarding the actual first MiG kill of Vietnam on 9 April 1965 involving a VF-96 F-4? Apparently it was shot down and hushed up? I thought the famous VF-21 engagement later that year were the first kills. I know that the incident is in the Osprey book - which I plan on purchasing along with their 3 other Vietnam F-4 books - but cash is tight at the moment.
  15. That's what I was guessing. I wasn't sure, though, since it is so far back on the F-14. Why is it only on some jets, then? Or the F-4, where they didn't have it, then some had it, and then they removed it.
  16. I knew about it, but I read the wikipedia article on it yesterday. Amazing that they made it. I have a jet related question for you guys. What is the purpose of the red stripes on the rear fuselage that were present on US military jets in the 70s before the low viz schemes came into play? Not all jets had them, and not all jets of a particular type had them either. Some F-4s and F-14s had them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:F-14_Tom..._TU-95_Bear.jpg An example. Engine related?
  17. Anyone have a good source for bomb graffiti or art from World War 2? The CAF wants to paint the bombs in Sentimental Journey with some authentic slogans, but so far I've only found 9 pictures and some of them aren't applicable to the B-17 in question.
  18. Hanging like crazy for me today. I've never had the problem before.
  19. Don't worry, I'm not going to steal them. I didn't even think about eBay. Been a while since I've stepped in there.
  20. Su-27 prototypes were given squadron numbers.
