  1. I couldn't resist...please add me to the list for "1" as well Thanks!
  2. HWR MKII, Very nice build...how long have you been working on the outrigger? Loads of detail! I also had some time today...Updates. Enjoy!
  3. Also the rear bracing for the recoil would also be pretty cool...
  4. Well, I saw the grooves(ribbing) on the Yellow Submarine Monster and they look pretty good. You can see them here:
  5. mslz22, I was wondering if you plan on cutting some "grooves" near the base of the plastic barrels? The detail might add a bit realism to an otherwise plain section of piping. Just a thought.
  6. HWR MKII, Cool. Thanks for the advice. Any good links for tank weathering?
  7. Sorry guys, but are there anymore launch arms availible? Thanks.
  8. Jagull, The VF-0S kit was first painted Tamiya flat white, clear-coated w/ Acryl gloss, then washed the old fashion way... diluted Tamiya black. I post shaded with diluted Tamiya sky grey. David, The VF-0D was painted entirely with a brush...can you believe that? It was painted Tamiya medium blue and sky grey. I had'nt built a model in 4 years and I was bored last X-mas. So I decided to stop by a toy store for a model kit. I never heard of Macross Zero but I liked the look of the VF-0D. After that build, I research on the web and found this site... Next thing you know, I ended up purchasing an airbrush and even more models. HWR MKII I only touched up a few parts on the tanks like the wheels, antennaes, guns, and view ports...I suppose I should weather it to look more realistic. BTW, your tanks are HUGE! 1/16? Who makes them? I saw the Tamiya Leopard 1/16 RC tank, but at more than $800 I had to pass
  9. HWR MKII, Yes, the links were upgraded to the plastic set composed of many pieces. I got them from ToyEast.com. The tanks both run faster and smoother with the new links. The only thing is, on smooth surfaces like hardwood, traction is a bit of a problem. Acceleration leads to "peel-outs". The Leopard 2A5 is faster than the Abrams but Abrams can climb a steeper grade. It's all in the different gearing I suppose.
  10. In the Hasegawa VF-1S Battroid kit, the directions say 60/40 navy blue/medium blue. Or you can just use Tamiya Field Blue. Wmcheng uses 50/50 neutral grey/medium blue. Your preference
  11. Thanks I need to pick up some techniques for tank weather...and the courage as well
  12. Nice job! I love the Tamiya Extra Thin Cement. I use it for every bond. It fills small gaps nicely. On my YF-19 build, I used very little putty for the seams. I just ran some thin cement and squeezed the joints till they oozed. I then sanded down the joints leaving a clean line angle.
  13. Well, I'll chime in and show you guys my current projects. I'm building two Macross Zero models together; a VF-0A w/ booster and a VF-0S. I'm using WMCHENG's excellent writeups as a guide. As they say, "imitation is the best form of flatery". Only thing is, his models are leagues above mine. In the background are the following: VF-0D, YF-19, VF-1A super, and a VF-1S. There are also a pair of Tokyo Marui 1/24 RC Tanks w/ full functions (they shoot ) Enjoy the pics and be nice!
  14. Those Canadian geese make great Thanksgiving center pieces though
  15. Onezero, Is there any chance of getting a launch platform to go with the booster?
  16. MechTech, I'm game for one. Hopefully more guys will jump on this so that you may seriously start sculpting it.
  17. That is truly amazing! How did you cut the inner structural ribs?
  18. MechTech, So if you did the shuttle, it would not be the V-33 that you have done but it would be similar to this pic? If that's the case, I'll be in for one.
  19. Here's my want list 1/72 VF-0 Armoured Battroid 1/72 Dragon II 1/72 Fan Liner recast/remaster 1/72 Cat's Eye recast/remaster
  20. Please add me to the list. I want a "Monster" too! Thanks!
  21. Now that's a thought. I'd been looking for one of those. I'm sure many others have been as well.
  22. Hmm...will they be still be sold through SSM?
