1. (ok guys.....let's knock off the political stuff before it gets nasty) anyhow, If y'all want alternative fuel for cars, here's the answer: RUN 'EM ON ALCOHOL!!! (it's a hell of a lot cheaper to make with less emissions too) EDIT: my spelling REALLY sucks...
2. I remember another weird concept that NASA never did: in Ace Combat 5, they had a "Rail-gun" style launching system for a shuttle, like a like a huge reverse slide. (edited for spelling)
3. how much does the G35 (U.S. Skyline) weigh?
4. on the Shuttle replacement topic, whatever happened to the X-33 (the "Venture Star" I think it was called?) here's a weird Idea, take the shuttle, but instead of sticking the external tank/smaller rockets on it, take a pair of Titan IV's and strap it to it, same concept, just bigger rockets, right?
5. there goes my childhood.....
6. I'm gonna agree with teh -19 w/FP crowd, I want one too, and with almost none of these toys coming out before 2006, I can get my money back in order!
7. guys, a good forum for y'all to visit would be www.stangnet.com, they have quite a few knowledgeable people on there for the V6 cars, as well as the '05's.
8. Did you at least get the stick?
9. I nearly fell out of my chair, that was great! LOL!
10. Anyone know if that's true or not? I'm curious to find out. I was always under the impression Shelby just threw big motors in the Cobra's and GT40's and little else. 313431 I guess technically, Shelby's cars are the "real" Cobras. IIRC, the cars C. Shelby started with way back when was actually the AC Ace; it didn't become the Cobra as we know and love it until after he took the Ford running gear, slapped it all in the tiny little aluminum bodied Aces and took 'em racing [i guess the reasoning was since he so fundamentally changed the cars' character, it was like a whole new vehicle, hence the new name?]. I think he started giving those cars their own serial no's [CSX....]. Since then, as we know, C. Shelby has started building his own complete cars in-house and has continued numbering those cars CSX..... etc. etc. AC is following the same formula, i.e. put a high output V8 into the Ace body roadsters; but since it was their car body style to begin with, I suppose Shelby can't sue or anything [plus I don't think they sell any here in the US?]. 313493 for me, the 289 Cobras will always be the original Cobras.
11. I thought I saw a '71...guess my eyes were deceiving me.
12. where's the "Born On:" date for that Budweiser??
13. Oh DEAR. GOD!! NO!! NOOOOOO!!! Oh, the humanity! That really really sucks. I'd hate to try to put dollar values on the damages to those cars, especially with T/A values headed for the stratosphere like they have the past few years. Somebody's insurance agent is going to curl up under his desk and sh-t himself! I've personally seen a lot of those cars run at my local track, and that black #0 Camaro is one wicked fast sum-bitch. LOL, I know some mechanics/body men at race shops around the country are gonna be cussing and putting in long hours for quite a while! 312776 you could always look at it this way: at least the pieces to resurrect these things are availiable...
14. ...as for the Continental GT, HELL YES IT'S FUGLY!!
15. yikes!! I can see why, they totaled a race '71 Camaro!
16. he shall be missed.
17. you know what would be really cool? seeing a JM2.0 -1A!
18. I could get flamed for this one, but I'd like to see the design of the Gundam Heavyarms make a comeback, that was one of the cooler gundams for me, even if it was in the wrong series.... I'd like to see another series along the 08th's lines too.
19. I thought the "new" batmobile was pretty cool
20. ok, now that he's done a VF-1, let's see more valks!
21. It comes with one, but everything I've heard is that dealers are absolute pains to recognize the damn things. Mitsubishi has gone so far as to monitor SCCA results on websites and cross-reference those names to people who own Mitsubishi's and cancel warranties on matches. It's ridiculous to release a car that was MEANT to be a performance vehicle, and not support it. Other companies are guilty as well, but Subaru and Mitsubishi are by the far the most outspoken and visible on the subject. On Mitsubishi's part, it can be partially attributed to the fact they're in serious financial trouble and trying to cut corners wherever they can. 312035 well, a company must do what it must do. Besides, if people are racing/autocrossing the things then the wear and tear will show up on the car as it is, plus they are probably doing their own tuneups with better-than OEM parts. wouldn't that void the warranty too? (i've never owned a car new enough to have a warranty, so I wouldnt know)
22. true, the Legacy is still a big car...for a Subaru. so what's this about with the Evo not coming with a warranty?
23. ummm....that's a Volkswagen....not a Evo... but Jetta's are nice too. (see that button down there on the right? that's the quote button!)
24. ........there's a search button on this forum, and this topic has been locked at least 15 times so far......try the OT forum on here to find out why....
25. Ford was really trying to replace the Mustang with the Probe? While the Probe had it's merits and the Mustang wasn't exactly in it's prime when the Probe came out, it just seems like a very odd choice. 311424 let's just say that if the Mustang had been turned into a Probe....Ford would've had a LOT of burning crosses on the front lawn at Dearborn. anyhow, as to the Mustang vs. WRX comment: Sure, they are in the same price range, but the Impreza was a 4WD FAMILY CAR, the WRX is just it's performance package, and it's not even supposed to be for the street! remember, the WRX is supposed to perform on dirt and snowy roads, not just on pavement as many of the ricers love to do (I'm not bashing you for your car choice McBride, they are good cars....if used correctly). The Mustang is a PONY CAR, not a FAMILY CAR........I just wish people would get it through their minds.... EDIT: I was rummaging through this month's Road and Track and I found my favorite pic of the WRX to date, it's covered in mud except for the windshield!! at least they know what the blasted thing's supposed to be used for. and for the record, I prefer the EVO over the WRX.
