1. this is why I don't like cars that cost waaaay above the $100,000 wall.
2. well, to add to the Mitsu debate, my uncle and aunt just went thru a divorce and I ended up with her '94 Galant ES (only REAL problem, it's an auto)! '94 was the first year they started going bigger than the Mirage/Lancer platform and the first for the 4G64 engine, I believe. plans for it: maybe raiding any AWD 4G63 Eclipse's in the 'yards around here and build a Super VR-4. -or- give it to my mom once I find out if the local 'yards get any good mopars.
3. No, it's been a homo-freakshow since ancient Greece. 353208 And that's why Zeus just threw lightning bolts. He was too busy with chicks to pump up. 353209 works for me!
4. that's because as soon as the WRC actually went to the WRC car formula, Mitsubishi got screwed royally, if they had just kept developing the Lancer platform instead of going with the fugly Cedia, they wouldn't be in this rut that they're in.
5. *over at the food stand* "I'll take an extra large popcorn with loads of butter, 2 hot dogs, and a large Mountain Dew!"
6. y'all are right, this thread IS amusing...
7. Yamato is actually making something new? AMAZING!
8. you did watch the first additional scene too, right? you know, the 3 1/2 minute drifting on dirt scene? I heard he put a 2:1 steering box in it, I wonder where I can find one.....
9. speaking of planes retiring, is there any countries still flying the F-5? or are private collectors flying them now?
10. Only five years old and it broke down? Very uncommon for Hondas to do that (unless the previous owner drove it to the ground). Before moving to a 2005 Ford Mustang V6, I had a 1999 Honda Civic HX Coupe that had zero mechanical problems. While it was a perfect daily driver, it really wasn't something I'd keep forever. I don't want to be 30 and still drive a high school student's car. I also don't want to end up being a stereotypical Asian who drives a Japanese econocar. Besides, the Civic was horrible going uphill. 348901 here's ya a good one: I just bought a beat-up '88 Civic (w/a 5-speed, thank god for that) with over 318,000 miles on it, it smokes, sometimes it loses compression and dies at a stoplight, but it ALWAYS fires right back up, and if I keep it long enough to rebuild the engine, it might last another 300,000. Not a bad car for 300 bucks, eh? anyhow, on the buying a new car part of the topic, I'd say go for the SRT-4, you will have plenty of headroom (I'm 6'0 and have about another 4-5 inches of headroom), but the bad part is: the Neon's ceased production at the end of September, however, your local Dodge dealer should have one.
11. here's a funny tidbit (from the Mopar Performance Catalog, after checking with my local Dodge Dealer): the Dodge Nextel Cup and Craftsman Truck Series teams spend almost $7,000 on just ONE engine block! Also they spend almost $2,000 on ONE Cylinder head (unassembled even!) too much money there....
12. well, I had a kinda crazy idea to switch the engine to a 4A-GE, since i'd be making the same HP, but with less displacement and make more MPG out of the deal, but part of me wants to keep the 22R, since it's the engine those trucks are identified with. However, I found that TCR performance has good crate engines (some to or past the 200hp mark, and that will rev to 6500+ RPM) some with turbo, some without. EDIT: BTW, I still have the LeBaron, though once I have the 22R all checked out and fully driveable, I can start turning the LeBaron into racecar/hipo-street car.
13. You lucky bastard. Those 80's Toyota pickups are without a doubt the greatest vehicle ever made. The 22R (and later 22RE) blocks are insanely reliable and tough. I'd suggest looking up the Top Gear segment where they try to destroy one of the 22R pickups, it's insane the stuff they do to it. 334382 I found out that mine actually is the 22RE, since mine's the first year for EFI. I'm gonna try to find the turbo parts off of a 4Runner and see about modding it; somewhere online I found a rumor of one surviving 20+PSI and making nearly 350HP!
14. well, I now have a "new" vehicle in my driveway, a 1986 Toyota 22R pickup! it's a 5-speed....and has rust nearly all over it, the bed's nearly toast, lol. I'll try to get some pics whenever I can.
15. damn, that REALLY Sucks, he was one of the best.
16. maybe geppy is a overmuscled flat-chested woman?
17. why not play with it during wintertime too? You guys get to play in the snow!
18. watched it, loved most of it. (really starting to hate Planet Dance, but that's a diff story) great points about M7: * Mylene's character development * Big-ass gun on the FA VF-11 (sorry, I'm a sucker for big guns) * color of Basara's valk (seemed like the right shade of red) ....umm.....I can't really think of anymore that everybody else has covered, but A1 starting a "Good points about M7" thread? that's just priceless!
19. how bout we just wish for a F1 car? that's unattainable for ALL of us..... I still prefer cars that are attainable to cars that aren't, at least I know my dreams are somewhat in reach.
20. Dude, American car companies have been doing that for decades: Chevrolet Nova - Originally one of the great muscle cars of the late '60s and early '70s, the last incarnation was a retooled Toyota Corolla in the mid '80s. Pontiac Le Mans - Once a formidable coupe in the '60s, the Le Mans name ended up on a crappy Daewoo sedan in the '80s. Mercury Cougar - The original luxury muscle car of the '60s became a Ford Thunderbird clone in the '80s before winding up into a mediocre FWD coupe in the late '90s. Mercury Capri - Was a twin of the Mustang in the '80s, but ended up becoming a wimpy roadster. (I'll let bsu legato explain more on this car...) Dodge Charger - The classic muscle car lost its reputation in the '80s when its name was slapped on a hatchback. The 2006 incarnation is no better. 322103 I used to have one of those crappy Daewoo "Le Mans", except mine was a 3 door hatch with an automatic, parts were totally unreliable, went through brake pads like crazy and broke a camshaft. If GM had the right frame of mind, they could take one of the Aveo's and either stuff the Cobalt SS's engines into it, or they could find one of the Opel turbo engines and go that route (maybe play with a base WRX?)
21. y'know, if mistu took all the money they spend tracking people down for "voiding" their warranties, they would probably save a bit of cash
22. you didnt really specify if it had to be shown transforming in the anime, merely that it was shown in the anime and could transform.
23. I hear Mitsubishi is starting the same stuff too....
24. I havent been able to post for a couple days, Jemstone got me straightened out on who Walken was, heck, I'd vote for him too!
