I confess that I have a morbid curiosity about the project, mainly because the guys behind it were being such dicks about it. Two years ago, RDF-HQ was abuzz with constant posts from Nenad, Charmquark, and Khyron Prime (a.k.a. The Pie Guy) crowing about how awesome it was going to be. Still waiting for the awesome. And they can apply all the filters they want, but those mecha designs haven't gotten any better over the years. They look like they'd be great realized in LEGO but aside from the coloration they really don't evoke the original designs and they're all very similar to each other. Their Bioroids look like their Invid, their Valkyries look like their Alphas (I'm guessing that's the last one you posted), etc. -

Posting videos of yourself on YouTube and hoping that someone will care is a little silly. -
Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

http://www.battlestarprops.com/ No way I'd be able to bid on any of these but I will definitely be buying a copy of the printed catalog, which is really nice: http://www.media-productions.at/download/B..._Web_Master.pdf I would love to have those little replica ships from the war room. -

Wow, check out this guy's other videos, it looks like he really is recording them in his parents' basement. Way to break the stereotype. ;p -
I actually expected them to do some sort of a chest piece swap so that it would end up looking like this: http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/Featur...134082.jpg.html However, all of the protos shown off at SDCC earlier this year had the fold-down cockpit. Too bad. I guess they could also have done something like the CM's cockpit which stows inside the chest (the only part of transforming that toy that unnerves me).

LIVE ACTION ROBOTECH (WB gets the rights)
Roger replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Why not just split it off into a "argument about Japanese cinema" thread? -
LIVE ACTION ROBOTECH (WB gets the rights)

That's a generalization, too, but if kaiju and tokusatsu movies are the only ones you're seeing, then it explains the first generalization you made: Anyone here ever see Always: Sunset On Third Street? Dawn of a New Day? Bubble Fiction? (I'll probably lose credibility with that last one but I thought it was a lot of fun.) -

If you think that I'm the one accusing him of being racist, then you need to buy some farting glasses. -

No, what you said was a generalization. If you believe it, though, back it up. What are you basing it on? How many Japanese films have you seen in the last 10 years, and which genres were they from? -
Variable Bikes (MOSPEADA, Megazone 23, Bubblegum Crisis, etc.)
Roger replied to RavenHawk's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
One of the recent Kamen Rider shows had a moto-slave type thing. -
Because one of the defining characteristics of fanboi-ism is an inflated sense of entitlement and a tendency to run off at the mouth. Pretty simple.

To start with, here's Robocon: -
Those were the writers, they demanded a cameo. ;p

I think you should include Robocon, 8-Chan, and Gan-Gara-Gan-Chan. They should count as motorcycles. -
New macross saga based movie (Robotech Genesis)
Roger replied to kamikaze_kamujin's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
A while back these guys were all over the place, talking about how bad Shadow Chronicles was, criticizing the animation quality and how long it took to get made. They said when their project was was released we'd see how awesome a fan project could be compared to the official product. That was spring of 2007. They said the movie was going to be out in October of 2007. I guess they revised the date after that: http://robotech.united-earth-group.com/con...65/129/lang,en/ Maybe that's a typo and they meant April 2009? ;p -
I'd like to know what you think "large" is. How many Revoltech YF-19s were manufactured, and how many were actually sold? And what was the cost to make each one vs. the wholesale and retail price? Can anyone in this thread answer questions like these?
-
What, exactly, are you basing this opinion on? What data do you have to represent "success" and "demand"?
-
I'm pretty sure that dark-colored male ride armors show up in the final episodes. If Brooklyn Red Leg was here he'd post a dozen screen caps or so.
-
Oh my god. The converter program has silly samurai characters all over the place, and it's playing Vivaldi. MAKE IT STOP! I'm uninstalling this after the conversion.

Terminator Salvation, colon, Really Long Movie Title
Roger replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Why the hell would the Terminators want a giant biped robot? Just makes it easier to trip. -
I think you could use a "professional writer" for your posts.
