Same. It's happened to me a few times as well. I get along with all of my regular couriers so I asked them about this very scenario. I think in one case my package didn't make it onto the truck for a day or two. A second package made it onto the truck but wasn't delivered as scheduled because of convenience/logistics: my package was put on a truck that had a bazillion deliveries to places far from my address so mine got bumped to another day.

The color-scheme is growing on me. I would have picked one up, or made an attempt, if I'd attended SDCC.

I'm jealous: I don't have the Legioss yet. Finally whooshed the Tread a bit earlier today; I am really impressed with the design and build quality.

Zero packing material via Amazon Japan. 😕 What you see is all there was. Inner box looks alright. 🙂 I’ll inspect later.

Can anyone vouch for Robot Toy Base or Kicks Generation Toys? Both are taking deposits ($20.00) for the POSE+ Legioss. The prices quoted below are more reasonable than BBTS, but these prices don't include S&H: I imagine the final prices will all be within a couple $10 dollars of each other. https://robotoybase.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=8238 USD439.9 + shipping charge by airmail https://www.kicksgenerationtoys.com/collections/pose USD475.00 + S&H

Nin-Nin: “Thank you for choosing Nin-Nin Game! We regret to inform you that the pre-paid shipping fees are insufficient to cover the actual shipping costs. Your order requires additional shipping payment or the selection of a shipping method that does not incur an extra fee. This can occur for various reasons, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.” 😞 Well, stow my pitchfork! Looks like it’s only gonna cost an extra $4.65. I can live with that.

I finally completed my collection of 1/55s maybe 2 years ago so I don’t *need* any more 1/55s, but I will def pick up a few of each model just to support the line and Toynami.

I wouldn't take it personally - if that's where your mind went. I experienced the same a handful of times over the last year. My first thought was that I had broken a rule and the Mods had simply acted per their authority. Now? I think it was just a system hiccup.- 17518 replies

I just tracked down some of my Mospeada preorders and it looks like I somehow preordered 4 Treads. Jack Daniels must have inspired those purchases because sober 26662 def doesn’t need 4: i don’t have room enough to display even 1, but here we are. :-) Maybe I was protecting myself from unexpected cancellations from one or more distributors? Anyway, more to the point, one of the Treads was ordered from Nin Nin. They didn’t require any ID this time.

Same re: prepayment. I *think* I ordered treads from Amazon Japan and fighters from Amazon US. I’ve honestly lost track of all of my preorders. Stuff just shows up on my doorstep unexpectedly.

I am SO loving this!

Yes, I remember the earlier post now. Thanks for jogging my memory. I'm just not a big fan of models/kits. Has something to do with their heft and tolerances. My very first VF-1 was a model kit and it turned out to be a floppy mess. Instead of addressing its inadequacies, I tossed it.

Looks nice. I'm not familiar with the Good Smile Cyclone. Can you, someone, speak to their quality? From your pix alone, it sorta gives me the "budget toy" vibe.

?? It’s been a couple years since I ordered from Nin Nin, but they’ve never made me jump through any of those hoops. Assuming everything’s legit, maybe fraud has been a problem for them recently?

Those are beautiful art pieces! $500 back in 2001?! That was an absolute fortune to me as a 2nd year grad student. I think my round trip flight to Madrid that year cost me only $400, and my monthly rent was $250. I love these look-backs. Thanks for sharing!

I’ll watch pretty much anything 1/55, but I bounced - with hate in my heart - as soon as I heard the AI.

I love everything about it. "Too much tampo. Garish colors. My imagination can't cope with inner-wing sculpting." Can’t please everyone. I'll take three in every color.

I’m close to finishing my 3D scan and post-processing of the Strike armor. My post processing removed the hollow underside of the cannons. I hate “waffles.”

Skirt color seems reasonable if I understand your point. Using the same grey as the thighs would have left the figure with dark-grey T-shaped “twig and berries.” The jokes would write themselves.- 17518 replies

But I’m in 100% agreement: his armor set is really impressive!

There’s a more elegant solution. I prototyped it back in 2001 but I was a super-poor grad student and didn’t have on-demand access to a CNC at the time. I’ve nearly got my workshop up and running. Finally. I’ll upload some pix of the full armor set at some point: my honey-do list dominates most of my free time. 🤪
