I'm getting hosed by HLJ, as usual. This is my last order through them because it seems like they build in a "late tax" on every item every time.

That’s amazing. I don’t know how to ride a motorcycle but I’d be tempted learn if this were a commercial product.

Incredible. Any chance we can get a pic of your collection? That Godzilla Grimlock is tight too.- 1178 replies

The size of the new version doesn't bother me too much; I have zero available display space as it is. I'm just a little put off by the sculpt of the new version's alt mode - specifically the trunk. Maybe I'll warm up to it if I see it on the shelf somewhere.- 18296 replies

This was what I was getting at. I’d put Riobot at about $100, if that, however. Mine had terrible QC issues out of the box: I bought mine new and had one come apart at the knee before its first transformation.

I can’t believe that the Riobot Cyclone is/has been selling for ~$200 USD when I was able to pick up MoShow’s cyclone for the same price. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/product/genesis-climber-mospeada-riobot-vr-038l-bartley-fuke-type-1_12-scale-figure-94727?variation=184788 https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/product/robotech-new-generation-yr-052f-cyclone-figure-set-146386?variation=290464

For me it’s one of the last three; something that encourages underestimating by an opponent.- 1178 replies

Seeing this reminded me of a couple anime I used to watch back in the day where swords were given names. Any chance this one has a name?- 1178 replies

Appreciate your indulgence. Seems I understood you just fine. I just figured there had to be more to your criticism. I'm not pulling out the pitchfork for ~15 degrees of delta.

I’m not seeing it. Got a picture of what “ideal” looks like? [Please delete if this is a duplicative post, but I’m not seeing the original post on my end.]

I wish. Even though I’ll prolly need a small bank loan to afford it. 😂

You might have nailed it. I never inspected the earlier artwork all that closely except to say, yup, thar's a tlead.

I'm fine with the practice described above...unless...this strategy is the new Ponzi Scheme/Kickstarter where companies rely wholly on early preorders (i.e., the Omega) to fund the production of later releases (i.e., Delta, Alpha, etc.) due to capital constraints.

No matter how many times I click your link, the page never loads. Strange. Anyway, love that cyclone. I thought about picking up the special edition on the secondary market but the prices were just unreasonable.

I'm not certain of its vintage. My Google-fu returned about a bazillion Godzilla toys - most of which, like the one linked above, were beyond impressive. I lost track of most everything kaiju in the early 90s. But in the 80s? You couldn't tear me away from the TV if a monster/robot/kung-fu movie was on.- 1178 replies

I've owned only one Joon's: I bought it in 1999 off eBay for <$100. It was stupid-floppy with obscenely-large tolerances. I relisted it almost immediately. Yes, of course, I wish I hadn't sold it. My younger self was an idiot in a lot of ways. Sadly, not much has changed on that front. 🙂😉

Like this one? This thing is ginormous! I saw one online retailer selling it for $1,500!!!! [But they had discounted it to $400. But still!?!?]- 1178 replies

Same. I have maybe 4 here at the house in various stages of disassembly and another dozen or so in storage right now. Still an addict. Can’t wait for the “Missing Link” VF-1J release later this year. That said, take a look at this insanity: https://ebay.us/m/QdF2QC

At least he’ll last then. All of my bendy toys eventually split open and/or got all floppy and lazy once the internal wire snapped. Nice grab!- 1178 replies

Is he bendy or is he more like a statue? I would have killed for this as a kid. This and the oversized Jumbo Machinder Shogun Warrior toys.- 1178 replies

I had the same confusion when I saw it the first time. And from that moment on my little kid brain saw Omega Supreme as nonsensical. [I still wanted the toy desperately, mind you!]- 18296 replies
