  1. Saw this VF-11B with fast packs at Liberty today and was wondering if anybody here knows who's signatures are on it. Signed VF-11B large pic.
  2. www.macross.co.jp Not sure if this has already been brought up. Looking like they are gearing up for the 25th anniversary, new splash page featuring all main Valk incarnations.
  3. K-1 is on the opposite side of the Electric Town Exit side of station in Akiba 3 min walk. They don't have a site and they only take cash. PM me and we can meet up and I'll take you there.
  4. Kotobukiya & Volks inflate thier prices from the first day items come in stock till they finally drop it to normal price at a clearence holliday sale but by then the items have major shelfwear. I would tell anybody never buy at Kotobukiya & Volks unless it's the last one in all of Tokyo. I just went there during lunch and they still had Q-Rau Millia Type for over $130 bucks most places have them for $70 to $50 because nobody is buying them. If you come to Akiba go to K1 hobby first they sell all yamatos at 30% under MSRP new not used mind you. If they dont have what you are looking for head to the smaller shops before getting bent over at Kotobukiya & Volks.
  5. Just came back from lunch. VF-0A and VF-1A Kakizaki are out on the sales floor they were not out yesterday during my lunch stroll.
  6. Just got back from C3XHobby and they had the YF-19 on display in all three modes. It was unpainted but even with out the paint all I can say is it was f_ _ king beautiful. The Yamato booth was rather small and was next to CM's booth, CM's had a huge line in the way of Yamato's display case blocking any possible way of taking a good picture. I had asked if I could take a picture but they asked me not to. Yes I did sneak one but if wolfx gets better ones then lets wait for his. Oh CM's didn't have any of the new Macross Part 4 sets for sale or dislpay so no pictures there either. I did how ever strike up a converstion with one of the guys at the Yamato booth. Super cool guy we talked about for about 30 min, and he told me alot. They have all kinds of cool stuff and in the piple line coming in these next two years. A mountable Ghost for the macross zero 1/60 scale and I can only assume it will come with fast packs, and the 1/60 YF-19 will get a mountable fold unit and I also assume will come with fast packs. Ive got to run I'll drop more info when I get back. I'll be at wonderfestival on Sunday but he told me they will only have the YF-19 there in fighter mode. Right now there are only four of the unpainted YF-19 produced other than the prototype so the third one will only be shown in one mode while the other three will still be at C3XHobby the rest of the weekend.
  7. You will have to wait a bit longer than a week, this is just a teaser display and not actually for sale since it still hasn't been released yet. Agent-GHQ from looking at the box from outside the glass case it looks to be texture same as the orignial GBP1 box. Keep in mind this might just be an early box design and the final one might change.
  8. Both Astrobit City and Volks have displays for the new Low Visibility Wood Land color Gbp-1s armor with retail box. Not sure if there is a thread for this, I looked but didn't find one. If I'm wrong please move to the right thread. Larger pics click below. pic 1 pic 2 pic 3 pic 4
  9. If anybody will be in Tokyo this month for any of these events or just happen to be in Tokyo for the summer please feel free to contact me to meet up. 10. Well I hope I can make it next year, looks like lots of fun. Well I guess I've got a whole year to practice my poker face.
  11. Tis the season! Well I will not be able to make it to MWcon or AX (for the first time since the very first one, and animecon prior to that) I would like to send a care package of goodies for prizes for my fellow Macossians who will be there. I have a few things right now I would like to send but this weekend I'm going to pick up a few more small things. Can somebody in charge of MWcon PM with where to ship the items.
  12. I've had 1/48, 1/60, CM's figs, Resin Kits, you name it it's all been here at work but just about all of them have been for MW members. My co-workers just laugh when I come back from lunch and see stuff from thier childhood. No real need in keeping anything here since all I have to do is just walk to the nearest toy shop.
  13. Put them back up Graham it's Tuesday now and new Toy day in Akihabara both the Low Viz 2 and Garland are on the sales floor of Kaiyodo.
  14. I've purchased about six 1/48s and a few 1/60s since moving to Tokyo, but I personally don’t own any. 0 Valks for me.
  15. I just got back into Tokyo on Tuesday and I saw a new one over at Kaiyodo. I've only seen it sold used since I've been in Tokyo, but this one was new in the box. Is it a re-release or maybe one they found hidden in the stock room?
  16. I'm in So. Cal along with all the rain. See you guys at F&S in a few hours.
  17. I'm not sure what time every body is meeting up, I should get there between 11:30 and 12:00, just look for a tall guy walking around with a girl that looks like Amelie / Dorothy from the Big O.
  18. There is one on Brea Canyon Road right off the 60 west of 57 freeway, there is one in Redlands too. I'm guessing C jr. is better since every body will have spent thier money at F&S.
  19. AHHH I was hoping for some Bob's Big Boy.
  20. I'll be in So. Cal and going to F&S this Satuday March 11th, where do MW members meet up at?
  21. OK here are some of my pics. Graham if you want there and more in high res I can email them to you for MW. Ok now before or now that I've already read that people think the two below 1/48s are going to be the new Low Vis and Stealth, but they are not. I talked to Yamato prep and was told they are both only painted color varients of a VF-1J and and VF-1A that will not be sold retail. He did say the reissue of the Low Vis will be the same VF-1A just like the first issue but will have a slightly diffrent color.
  22. Just wanted to check if anybody will be going to Wonder Festival Feb. 19th 2006 Tokyo Big Site 10:00~17:00. I'm going and hope to have a decent camera by then. If any MW members are going to be in Tokyo give me a heads up. I've got crash space in my Apt. if anybody needs to save on accommodations.
  23. Mine is rated by my personal expressions from start to finish of each animated entity. SDF TV (9/10) DYRL (9/10) Mac II (7/10) FB2012 (4 /10) Mac Plus (9/10) Was first angry about Plus not having Mikimoto characters designs. Mac 7 (6/10) Mac Zero (7/10)
  24. I work for one of Japan’s biggest privately owned animation school called Digital Hollywood. I’m currently at their digital content university DHU in Akihabara working on Video editing. The university teaches animation using Maya, film production techniques, and also focuses on becoming a creative producer. We have a lot of game, and anime production companies such as Namco, GONZO, ComicWaves, etc, give lectures and host special events. DH has just opened a new animation school in conjunction with Bones Anime Studio, hmmmmm I should put in for a position transfer once I've got Japanese down. I love my job and the company I work for. They have always taken care of me, and find my love for anime and kaiju fims interesting.
  25. More info for the die hards here. The VF-0S is an off white and not bone white like the other 1/48s. Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 all the dark grey parts are chunky monkey. It looks to be a softer plastic than the outer white shell of the VF-0S. You can see by this pic the thickness of the top shoulder area. It's about 3 times as thick as the other 1/48 in the display case. Graham is correct it is not transformed correctly. You can see in the above pic the shoulder dropped down and is out of place. The below pic shows that the back half of the VF-0S is not set right. It should be parallel with the front chest plate, but it's at weird angle. The bottom wing area should set closer to the bottom end of the nose. This would bring the top half up into the proper position and also bring the shoulders into correct positioning. I also looked around the store to see if the retail box was sitting behind the counter but I didn't see anything, but if it is a new box design then I wouldnt know what to look for.
