  1. Take a look at the other stuff Aoshima had at the show.
  2. When I picked up the new issue of Hobby Japan, I looked through a few other hobby mags and saw a full page CM's add in one of them and it looks like the Legioss/TREAD will not be Brave Gokin09. The add shows that the Brave Gokin09 will be a Patlabor Griffon. I think its obvious that the Legioss needs some more re-tooling and looks to be pushed back.
  3. Well I picked up the issue and got it translated and it says nothing about a new series. It's just a small write up on Hideki Kakinuma's professional history. The sketches of the mecha are just to explain black and white stripes and the history behind them. Basically how in World War 2 (the article mentions Normandy) these stripes where used to identify allied ships, and that the idea was brought to Mospeada. The section on the Inbit basically says that none of the sponsors of the original Mospeada series gave any guidelines on the enemy designs so Hideki and team had free reign on what the Inbit came to be. So they chose the ugly, creepy insect crab without having to make changes by the sponsors. The new Hobby Japan issue cover more on the reissued kits, the new toy lines, and a few pages of Mospeada line art that we have all seen before.
  4. Well seems that Yacolog sent off an email to Aoshima and got a response. Here it is web translated. ■Detailed revelation of Aoshima "1/48 new century alloy レギオス" A photograph of マスターピースレギオス made by Nami Toi was carried in an official site of Aoshima, and a developement became clear for the affair that became a topic among fans in the world. (A photograph is the masterpiece series made by Nami Toi) ◠As for "レギオス" to release this time, it is misappropriated quality of the ROBOTECH masterpiece series of Nami Toi Corporation. ◠It is not for our company to do substitute sale of Nami Toi Corporation, but releases it as the version that I ask it for OEM production and added reinforcement and a weapon of a hip joint to. ◠Because there is not yet images for the remodeling that I can announce about a notice, I want to carry it with our company HP, our product guidance magazine as soon as I am completed. Was an answer of the question email which the above took out to Aoshima; (part abbreviation). Because information spreads in an alloy thread in a new century, I can put that one together, and look. When I try to compile what I understand about present conditions レギオス and a trend of future Aoshima, ◠The new product that Aoshima added improvement to MP of Nami Toi. ◠It is added 3 missile to reinforcement of a hip joint, the left shoulder with addition of a missile pod, heart. ◠MP ride Armour is negotiating to be able to sell it as モスピーダ in Japan although there is the issue of copyright. ◠An MP tread has many points to examine such as structure or a price, and commodification is undecided. I do not understand where quality of マスターピースレギオス improves by a hand of Aoshima to, but am glad of what Japanese, the article which was upgraded than a Nami Toi version gets possible to buy carelessly. Alloy レギオス is exhibited at Shizuoka hobby show of next month in this new century, and all will become clear there. An interesting fight of association of Nami Toi Aoshima vs CM's seems to be developed this year. To a route more and more major in other makers seeming to have already given self-introduction of the characters on the stage of noh play as for モスピーダ? The activation of モスピーダ was a benefit of ROBOTECH which a fan detested. Do not you think that it is a very ironical story?
  5. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please tell me these pics are just place holders, or our worst nightmares are confirmed. Behold!!!!!!!!!
  6. megazone23 Instead of waiting for the 25th anniversary I guess it would make more sense to go with the 23rd. The site is pretty nice looking, info on a new book fully loaded with illustrations, setting document and an interview. Check out the site for more on atsai's possible non-transformable Gralands, and those so loved Yamato Gralands. There is also a plan is in progress for a console game from Compilation heart Co., Ltd. Talking event "23 mega zone リãƒã‚¤ãƒ–!" Holding decision! The date and time : Sunday, May 13 12:00 opening, a 13:00 raising of the curtain place : Guests : Mi-na Tominaga, Hideki Kakinuma, Yasunori Honda,
  7. Read the part about Comiket in my post. Tell the part about Japanese law to the Yahoo Auction sellers selling this stuff made from very bad photo copied copyrighted anime production materials every day. I was just answering Rogers question. So what is your point since it is a hypothetical answer to a hypothetical question?
  8. I listen to the story on Space Station Liberty, and what you are doing seems fine with me. I just don't have much faith with HG's creative department or licencing. I mean you want to do something for you and the fan base, but so did Micheal Bradly. Most of us know he had to go through heck to release his own stuff. So in the end you may be offered a $ amount for your troubles, but who's to say they don't just say we own it so hand them over, once legal matters come into play if publishing is considered. Okay back to your question. To be honest if I would have found them on my hunts in Tokyo, I would have just put it on ebay after scanning a copy for myself. Then I'm sure the buyer would just spread them around the fanbase, letting the internet give these designs to the people who want and deserve them most. In the SSL interview you say something about it being a summer job to the Artmic team and that they barley remember even working on the show (sorry if that is a little off). They are the creators and they don't seem to care what happened to them then or now, and I don't think HG will make sure they get their check if something does get published. Would you put them on the internet without a second thought? Yeah I would. If so, why? Fans want them and I want to give it to the fans. Makes me feel good. What would give you the right to do this? Well I live in Japan out of HG's reach if selling in in Japan or on Yahoo Auciton JP. Or I cold fan publish them with the ok of Tatsunoko giving me a sticker to put on every issue then sell at Comiket like many other Japanese fans do with old anime shows. Then a Japanese fan would scan and put them on the internet for the world as well. What would motivate you to do it all for free? Again it gives me a good feeling. That's just an honest answer, but if you do get something out it will probably be one of the first thing I've purchased from HG since the Legacy DVD Boxes.
  9. Put it this way, 99% of toy or hobby shops don't have much display space. Toynami MPC toys may have nice bookend design but a toy shop would have to display the item with the book cover flap open since there is nothing on the outside of the book indicating that a Legioss (Alpha) is in the box. All you can see is character art of the pilots done Yune style which most Japanese are not impressed with. Then there is the solid white box that the MPC comes in so if a shop wants to display a MPC look how much space they would need just to get it off the shelf. They just don't have the space, so how are collectors in Japan going to buy something they can't see or read since the box says Scott, Alpha, and Robotech in English. Then if they do buy one they quickly find out the guality is lousy, and they paid a small fortune for it. Then the exact same toy gets resold to a shop like liberty for about $50.00 used and some Macross World member benefits in the end.
  10. oreillyrel thanks for saving me the time and not having to write up all that stuff myself. There you have it the cold hard obvious truth, unless you are one of those RT fans that also think Macross 7 was a rip off of Lancer's Rockers.
  11. I seriously don't think it will be a preassembled metal version of the Imai kit, since all the other "A New Century Alloy" toys are all new molds from Aoshima. Check the quality of their Mazinkaiser from the same toy line the Legioss will be released under, it looks great all the way from the packaging to all the extra goodies.
  12. There is a Japanese toy whole sale site that has updated their site with details indicating Aoshima Toy and Model will be releases a variable 1/48 scale Mospeada Legioss under their already established “A New Century Alloy†toy line. There are no pictures of the toy at this time, but the release is scheduled for July 2007. Currently set to cost a retail price of 10290¥ ($87.00 USD). No I'm not talking about the 1/48 reissued IMAI model kits that are already out from the same company.
  13. haha bump! Sorry for the wait fell in a pit of snakes. "Snakes......... I hate Snakes." Oh yeah sorry for the bad quality camera phone shots will replace on Tuesday with better ones, didn't bring my camera to work today.
  14. Back, must have been a one day sale the ones you can see in the picture in the Macross area are priced 2600ï¿¥. The new location is F-ing cool so much better then when it was on the main strip.
  15. Hahah not to worry Indy will come back, when I get the full pic of the booth babes up. And Sorry I should have look for a similar thread before posting this one.
  16. I’ve been pretty swamped at work since coming back from Tokyo Anime Fair 07, and I’m working on a write up and tons of pictures to post up. Until then here are some pictures of the 25th Anniversary 1/48 VF-1J and YF-19 paint scheme. They were put on display at Satelight ’s booth on public day.
  17. On the last day of TAF I talked to the director of Beagle, well with help from a translator that is. We talked a bit about Toynami, and they where only aware of the Alpha and not the Cyclones. They didn't even know about RTTSC either. They say that they are fans of Mospeada, and many other Japanese fans want new Mospeada toys. Not really a strange move, because if Toynami's version comes to Japan they will cost 3 times more than the US retail price since it will be an import, until they go on clearance 4 years later. Plus I'll be happy to see the Japanese Mospeada toys in boxes that actually represent whats inside the box.
  18. Beagle toys have a booth at this years 2007 Tokyo Anime Fair, and they will be releasing a 1/12 scale VR-052-F Mospeada Ride Armor. They are aiming for an early 2008 release in Japan. They didn't have prototype just a Mospeada display as a formal announcement. It will be fully transformable and made of ABS plastic and die cast metal. It is also a new sculpt not a reissue of the old Gakken mold. Beagle plans to release all 4 types of Ride Armor, and should have the VR-052-F on display at this year Plamodel Radicon Show. I think this will be their first transformable toy, right now they mostly have a few PVC figures for Ghost In The Shell, and Range Murata characters.
  19. Tokyo International Anime Fair 2007 is held at Tokyo Big Site in Odiba on the out skirts of Tokyo. It will be open to the public Saturday March 24, and Sunday March 25. 21. HAHA, I had sent that link to the Robotech Reporter for his blog, and figured it would make its way here. Plus Graham also has some video too. That one was more the gloat tward the RT fans, didn't want people here to think I was rubbing it thier faces here at MW, wouldn't do that to you guys. Oh and those chating about CM's high prices you are not correct. Remember CM's has nothing to do with the import price you pay to get thier items. Both Graham and I have see the price from the Patlabor here in Tokyo be anywhere from ¥13900 = $115 all the way down to ¥10000 = $83.00 NEW. So now find something else to complain about.
  22. Going by this pic I would say the hands are retraceable. The hole looks to be the same shape of the fist. Hope they do add a under piece above the shoulder and upper arm. While looking at the Legioss up close I could see a few penciled in marks, looked like noted markings for changes. So I’m sure by Tokyo Toy Show the next wave of pics will have some nice changes. You can't see in the pic but Graham looked really hard and he could see there was a pilot in the cockpit, he also said the nose was longer than the Toynami version.
  23. Here is your confirmation! Here are the details in English: Price (tax-included) =9,975 The yen Selling price (tax-included) =8,978 The yen Sale date =07/03/21 DS point = 428 Specifications [Explanation] 発・販:コロムビアミュージックエンタテインメント Departure from / 販: コロムビアミュージックエンタテインメント ◠XT-2435 ◠One level of one side *6 ◠A color ◠Size Standard ◠A picture 4:3 ◠A region 2 ◠Collecting time = about 634 minutes ◠Sound =1: Dolby Digital / monaural / Japanese
  24. Here is the confirmation yes it is true me and Graham have seen it and it looks sweet. Yes it will cost money but it will be sold as a set. I'm sure not any more money than you already spend anyways. If it is any thing like CM's new Ingram1 with working lights and a generous amount of diecast it will be well worth the price.
  25. I'm up for some drinking, and I'll be going to WF too. PM me when it gets closer to the date.
