  1. CM's Macross Collection Part 1, 2009 reissue hit the shelves today in Akihabara so go out there and get your DYRL Hikaru pilots figures.
  2. Man that must be from the time the voice actor of Rand attended as Rick Hunter since Tony Oliver is a bit to big to make an appearance as Rick Hunter. Cool man share it with the guys over at the robotechx fan site.
  3. Thread for the Ichiban Kuji Froniter suff goes here. You can also get them per order from Over-Drive.
  4. Just checked and the site is loading fine, but then again I'm just a stones through from their office. You are welcome, I knew Over-Drive would find a good home here. When I first met with them none of them believed me that people actually buy Macross and other niche anime show merchandise outside of Japan. They have seen the light!
  5. HLJ is able to get parts but they charge their own made up price on a part that Yamato supplies them for free. Example my friend ordered a VF-1s head, set of hands, and blast shield and it came out to about $30.00 not including shipping. As far as I know you don't have to prove it is for replacement so if you want multiples I guess that is an option but it will cost you. Over-Drive only has a service charge which is only to cover the time to sort the parts, pack and ship them. Keep in mind this is only for replacement part not extra parts. As far as contacting Yamato I wouldn't advise it unless you are in Japan. It is not that they refuse to help international buyer it is they are not allowed to help you directly due to well known legal issues.
  6. Aside from the Griffin attack in Memories of Zero I'm happier than a pig in $h1t about frontier. I'm pretty sure if I had not been living in Japan working in Akihabara for the past 3 year I probably would only like some of Frontier. Japanese Otaku life prepared me for Frontier and I loved it! For a TV series not funded by any of the major TV stations nothing looked better on TV in 2008 in my opinion. The Speaker Pods were only used in one episode of Frontier and only long enough for the purpose of having them in the episode, which actually made sense to why they were used. Nod to Mac7 but Speaker Pods were all over Mac7, wasn't the first episode titled Speaker Pod?
  7. Aoshima Tread is a GO!!!!! It will be retooled and match the colors of the Aoshima Legioss. It should be release sometime this year and packaged in a different box than the MPC. Today Aoshima had the Toynami MPC version on display at Superfest this morning. They also comment that they are the ones who made the Toynami version. They say Toynami only supplied them with the non-transforming sculpt of the Beta and then was told to make it transformable. Aoshima was also in charge of the QC.
  8. Mega Hobby Expo is early next month I would guess they will have one to show by then. Collection DX did a review a while ago, here you go.
  9. The artist is Hiroshi Ogawa who I think had no involvement with Mospeada at all, but he was part of the mechanical design team of Southern Cross. It looks like he was contracted to do this updated Tread for box art on the first release of Mospeada on DVD a few years back. The box set also had a redesigned Gosu by him as well and something else but I cant remember what that was right now.
  10. Nope not for me, shame on any of you that actually give this movie any credit.
  11. The MPC head looks like Scott if he was to ever cameo on The Simpsons, that sculpt is hideous.
  12. Back in Tokyo and the mail order sets are in. Once I have them repacked and ready to ship I will pm the members that ordered them their totals. thegunny sil80jdm ZX31 crasis
  13. Found their Website. We even have $100 drink funding from Takashi from Over-Drive.
  14. I have talked about Mospeada and RTSC with Kakinuma in 2007 and at that time he was very interested in doing a new Mospeada animation. Kakinuma feels pretty certain that the current anime industry is not interested in funding a show that is not new or pretty much non-existent to anime viewers in this day and age. He said if it came down to it he would write Mospeada novels but as of now nothing has been written. He also said if asked he would be more than happy to work on future Robotech productions. Tastunoko has no plans to do anything with Mospeada other than licensing for merchandise. So unless there is a rich Japanese producer that also happens to be a huge Mospeada fan out there I don't think there is much of a chance one will ever get made.
  15. The final installment of the Beagle Ride Armor is up over at Over-Drive. Sorry for the delay everybody, this month has been a crazy one.
  16. As far as I know we are all meeting up but where do I need to go. Can you put post directions to where the bar is in Little Tokyo. Takashi from Over-Drive gave me $100 for the first round of drinks.
  17. Heading to the airport will post once I'm back home. See you guys on Sat.
  18. Possibly because you may not be familiar with the Doll market in Japan. We had our doll collector do the Yamato's Minmei Doll review, she is not even a Macross fan and she says "This doll was so well made that I think even non-fans could easily develop an infatuation. The price alone sets it out of most people's league, especially given the collectors' inflation, but the initial 60,000 doesn't seem that unreasonable." The obitsu body is Made in Japan that is also why it's not so cheap, Takara stopped making their dolls in Japan back in the 90's. Doll collecting is a serious and expensive hobby, many sell for over $1000 US. In fact last month Mandrake had the Minmei Doll for sale and marked it up at just under $1000 and is sold in less than a week. None of that mark up went to Yamato so now who is greedy. The doll used in the review was ordered for jasonc who last I checked wasn't a doll collector so maybe we should has him if it was worth the money.
  19. Putting in a request is just that, there is no cost you just have to wait. Over-Drive does not carry the parts they have to go through channels to request them on your behalf then they have to wait for a response before they can respond back to your request. So if there is nothing to report then there is no reason to email you. Do you really think that between November to Christmas toy companies make it a point to prioritize replacement parts emails to Over-Drice during the holiday shopping season. If anybody sent in a request before October 31 you should have received an e-mail about them. There are few people who haven't answered Over-Drives e-mails and their parts are just stilling around. Check those spam folders guys.
  20. I have an option for those interested in getting one check my post here. Order deadline is Dec. 19th.
  21. Your math is way off you are missing the 2 x
