Looks like with the ADV restructure they picked up a new packaging designer that knows now to get my attention. The new box art looks great! I`m for sure getting the Macross and the SC / Mospeada packs.

Have no idea what they will come in. We have to pay for the items with in the next few weeks, but they will not ship till early 2009.

Actually his buyer was going to pay for his round ticket flight so that yellowlightman could sell it to him at 100% cost. I think that is more than fair. Why pay 2x the price, if you over seas guys want it at cost then hell cost would equal personal delivery. So we are talking retail plus round trip ticket which would you choose. Just because we live in Japan doesn't make us rich, some of us need the extra cash. chowyunskinny I'm not trying to be hostel I do all I can for the members if I have the time and resources but even I get irked when people say things when they don't know how much time and effort it takes to get these things then we turn around and either the buyer wants to pay nothing and a thank you or says "is $20.00 cool". If guys flipped items with out getting something in return they would die from exhaustion and then collectors would have no way of getting anything.

I never had the time to deal with getting these, Wonder Fest and other things kept me too busy to try to read through all the requests. I barely got the points I had in one day before the dead line. To be honest I really didn't want to deal with a mass order 1/48 are just too much work. Still I'm sure it will be held against me some where down the road.

Today when I went to pick up Chronicles issue 5 at Animate they also had a new book / magazine by Gakken called Macross Frontier Official File #1. It's in full color 56 pages with a fold out poster. The layout is similar to the Perfect Memory book, It covers up to episode 17 and features allot of art work that was in most of the anime magazines that covered Froniter like Newtype magazine. Cost is $630 yen it's a pretty high quality magazine same size of an issue of Chronicles, plus they have mail away points for free Frontier merchandise lottery system of course.

Well before the topic gets started who wants me to send in their points for the Boomer and AD Police mail order?

YF-19a Excalibur and VF-11B Thunderbolt are Yamato Friend Shop Exclusive like how the VF-1A Max Revoltech was.

Looks like this is not an exclusive it was only displayed to promote the hobby shop that painted it called metal-box on the second day of the event since I didn't see it on Saturday. The sign in front doesn't say Weathering. Yamato did tell Over-Drive a few month back that they were thinking of a VF-1J Weathering but that it was just an idea.

Well I hope the short trailer shown at C3 was early production work like the Frontier footage shown at the 25th concert, because seeing that trailer live this weekend was no very impressive. 2D facial animation were very jagged and you could see where the layers were being animated. And the space battles looked no better than Shadow Chronicles. Still I keep the faith and expect it is all early draft animations, just like I said when the first Frontier footage was shown. Oh yeah everybody that lined up for a poster and folder other than me were all girls, so that should tell you something.

I second that, though I want more BGC merchandise. Anybody here knows what ever happen to the canceled gachapon / box case BGC figures that were suppose to have been released back in early 2006? I remember tons of shops had them on pre-order then they all just disappeared.

Good read and yeah that stuff does happen. In Frontiers case so far all Music CDs have been selling better than could have ever been expected also all cd released have made the top 5 regular music charts which hasn't happed (for an anime soundtrack) since The End of Eva movie years ago. So BW looks to be in good standing as far as loss, plus Bandai is footing most of the bill and will get it back when the toys and other products get released. As far as Satalight the studio doing the actual anime its primary core of business is pachinko games and that is were allot of money is spent in Japan so they are for sure not hurting.
