  1. Would you be excited or very worried? The man made Transformers popular and huge box office numbers.
  2. What do people think? Many artists are doing retro 80's sound nowadays, so it does have it's appeal?
  3. Found a great site that analyzed vehicles and events from SDFM. Here are some screenshot mostly of Zentraedis. Here is the site: https://superdimensionalanalysis.com/a-robotech-macross-photo-essay/
  4. I don't know if this was intentionally done. But I notice that almost all the mechanics that are classified as ''Pods'' has a cyclops visior. Except for the re-entry landing craft.
  5. I get that, but if were to put the mechanics that has arms and legs, then the Gnerl and Landingcraft cannot be put in the category of mobile suits? Or can we call a car and motorbikes for mobile suits too? Quel-Quallie scout ship and the Salvage ship have more in common with a Queadluun-rau than a car?
  6. If the show kept the storyline from SDFM pretty much the same, except for the japanese character names changed into english, no Mospeada & Southern Cross involvement and the title is Starship Macross. Would the show have appealed to western audience like ''R'' show did?
  7. lol I agree, does look like a diving suit. I think the Boddole color theme looks better
  8. But if you had to pick one that has a design that stands out from the other mechs, which one would you choose?
  9. @uzernaem Just curious, what do you think about the Nousjadeul-Ger? Does it look alien to you?
  10. That's a great point. The legs have organic design. But the cockpit body is very human-centric made.
  11. Yes, I liked that design better. The DYRL version is similar to the Queadluun-rau's humanoid insect design. But I'm starting to appreciate the tv-version. It's underrated and I hope future installments will highlight it more.
  12. The Regult wins it. The shape and the red cyclops eye reminds me of a bipedal insect. Very insectoid looking. The Queadluun-rau is a humanoid insect. The Nousjadeul-ger and Glaug are mechs that can be seen as human-made. The Glaug has a very human-centric mecha design. The only thing that separates the Nousjadeul-ger from UNS mechs, are it's straight up visior and the large feet. And with it's semi-organic appearance. UNS mechs tends to have a bulky design.
  13. I know, but parts of the arms and legs from Macross is still dark grey, while in this comic it's all purple except the feet and hand. Regardless, I've always felt the purple color matches the male suit better than green.
  14. I KNOW I shouldn't mention the ''R'' franchise here. But this comic of R:Megastorm had a fully purple suit with orange visior. I just feel it looks very organic with this color scheme and I dig it!
  15. Can somebody give me the official and right description of the Nousjadeul-ger tv version feet? Is it that large like this photo? In this photo from episode 31 SDFM, it look smaller and more compact
  16. The movie vers will always be my favourite design, but recently I'm starting to like the tv-version. The penguin feet still annoys me, but in some angles it doesn't look so bad. Maybe the toy figures and some pictures makes the feet bigger than what they are? Example it looks OK here The Boldolza suits looks good
  17. Ah I see thanks. Btw, a bit off-topic, but could you see the standard Zentradi space suit being upgraded as a medium-armored exosuit? Like a light-weight counterpart to the Nousjadeul-ger? Always felt they look like they already wore a exosuit some sort.
  18. We didn't see the Nousjadeul-ger suits in SDFM that much compared to DYRL?. So does that mean in the tv-show, it wasn't mass-produced, and only used for special missions? While in DYRL?, they were just a standard suit/mecha like the Regult pods?
