  1. Sounds like the movie version would be the better one to get
  2. I noticed there were two releases of the DX VF-31F. What's the difference between the two if any?
  3. I read the review on Anymoon.com and I said, "I gotta get that". It's one I really miss from my old Yamato collection.
  4. I really love the fighter mode of the SV-262. I've heard it can be a bit difficult to transform between modes, is that true?
  5. Really like the color scheme on this one. I just got my VF-31S and the armor set to go with it. Haven't had a chance to take it out to mess around with it. Stupid life always getting in the way LOL.
  6. I have a VF-0S Phoenix Premium Finish coming. Can't wait to have it in hand. I used to have the Yamato version years ago. I wish I had been able to keep it. Sounds like this one is more improved though.
  7. Arcadia 1/60 VF-0S Phoenix Premium Finish version found! Woohoo!
  8. Yeah those DX are expensive. It's hard to collect them, especially with so many great designs. I'm hoping to be able to at least get the ones that I really like. I don't need to be a completist. Thanks for the welcome, feels good to be back into it.
  9. I'm lucky enough that I live in a area where the crime rate is pretty low and my house is not close to other houses. There's a main road but it's set back enough from it that it doesn't stand out. The police station is only a half mile down the road as well. So basically everything I get delivered gets left on my front porch
  10. That's nuts. That figure isn't even that old. Gonna have to be careful with my white Valks
  11. Slap some sunscreen on it before you do
  12. True, it's more or less that I think it can be avoided if using the right kind of plastic. We pay a pretty good price for these so I think they should be made with quality materials. Plus it's not like we leave them outside or mistreat them. They should be able to withstand a little indirect sunlight from the window or being taken outside for pictures from time to time.
  13. That would make sense since it seems like only portions of the valk itself yellows and not the entirety. I've even seen one's that will have one leg yellow and one that's fine. That tells me it's the quality of the plastic they're using in production. I'd pay a little more to get plastic that doesn't yellow like that.
  14. It's amazing to me that they can't put a UV protective coating on the plastic to help keep that from happening or some other solution. These things aren't cheap, even if you can get them at retail prices they're still expensive. They aren't for kids at that price point so they know they're aimed at the adult collector.
  15. Has anyone had any of their newer DX Bandai's getting yellow like the VF-31's? Some of them are a couple years old now aren't they?
  16. I know it's probably me just being anal but I feel like I should probably handle mine with white gloves LOL, considering what I'm paying for them.
  17. Did it yellow because it was in the sunlight? I've also heard oils from the skin can cause it too.
  18. Ok, so I have a couple questions. I haven't bought any Macross since Yamato was releasing their toy Valk's back in the early to mid 2000's. You used to be able to buy stuff at quite a few US retailers but it seems like that isn't possible anymore. What happened? Is it some kind of recent legal thing? Some of you guys like vladykins have been nice enough to point me in the direction of some international stores to get what I want which is great! I was just wondering if something happened in recent years to keep US retailers from selling the products from Bandai's DX line or Acadia's? Nevermind, it wasn't easy to find info. but I've found out why. Sucks but I guess it is what it is
  19. WTB the following: -Yamato Valk Stands (Specifically the "Chrome" or "Silver" one, ) . I know there's different options/colors so PM with any you have. PM with offers and condition of items. I'm in the USA (New York) Thanks!
  20. Sweet! Thanks vladykins! That's not a bad price at all. I'll have to add that place to my list of toy shops.

    Hi-Metal R

    Sweet! Thanks vladykins!
  22. Awesome thanks vladykins and derex3592 ! I'm going to check it out. Wow vladykins you started and didn't turn back LOL! I'm looking into getting the Macross II valkyrie from that line. I really love the design.
  23. Hi, obviously new here. What are some opinions on the Bandai Hi Metal R toys? I'm just getting back into this and it's been a long time since I've bought anything Macross. I used to collect the Yamato stuff but now I'm seriously out of the loop. I've picked up a few of the Bandai DX chogokin toys and they're pretty sweet. I was just thinking of getting into the Hi Metal series.
