So let me go out on a limb here and ask a stupid question... does this mean that JLU is officially NOT cancelled?! I keep hearing so many crazy things about it and Teen Titans that I can't keep up with them all. If it's coming back to Cartoon Network in the near future, then HELL YES. I want a box set of this entire show so badly now.

Mine stands on its landing gears pretty well. Not like 1/48 well, obviously, but they do all touch the ground. However, there's only a millimeter or so of clearance between the ground and the Cyclone storage compartment...

Well, isn't Kat supposed to eventually turn out to be like Max?

I agree with you 100% on this. It just doesn't seem like Adama to put Starbuck into a situation where he could be reasonably sure that she'd get shot in retaliation immediately after shooting Cain. No, something else is coming. I mean, it's already reasonably safe to believe that she doesn't succeed in shooting Cain, but I just hope that some rationale is given for him ordering Starbuck to assassinate her. (i.e. misdirection - he knew that Starbuck was being monitored or something, so he wanted Cain and her people to be watching Starbuck while Adama set up something else to happen.) I'm liking the "Sharon kills Cain" theory, but I doubt it'll pan out. It'd be an interesting way for Sharon to prove her loyalty, even though it's a strangly backhanded way to do it. The officers on the Pegasus would not stand for it and would shoot her on sight, so I don't believe it's gonna be her...

It appears the Cylon breeding program is a success because that Cylon is pregnant. 356716 I just laughed so hard I almost spit my drink all over my desk.

How about Gall Force? I seem to remember they had massive fleet battles in those. It's old but still entertaining.
-
Well, from leaked scripts (which were posted in this thread a while back), we know that the Pegasus does make it intact. But in what capacity? And what role does it then take in the fleet? I am exceptionally curious about that.

No kidding, she was uber hot. Sadly, I saw her (and Gil Gerard) here in Raleigh, NC last year and I didn't recognize either of them at first. I'm afraid age has not been kind to either of them... Which reminds me! Who is that in your avatar, myk?

X-men 3 Pics: Beast And Angel Revealed
Axelay replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
LOL. That was kind of my whole point. You just simply can't contain Magneto. -
Hell yes. I want to see a massive furball with one pilot taking on scores of enemies against overwhelming odds. I do hope she makes it, if it is indeed Kat. Chaplain: "Col. McQueen? Shouldn't you make peace with your maker?" McQueen: "I don't think He wants to hear from me right now, because I'm going to take off and blow one of His creations out of the sky. And when I come back, I'm going to drink a toast to Chiggy von Richtoffen's death." Chaplain: "... amen."

X-men 3 Pics: Beast And Angel Revealed
Axelay replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I just want for Magneto to be as badassed as he was in the last movie. I thought it was extremely cheesy how they could lock one of earth's most powerful mutants in a "plastic prison," but they made up for it when he locked on to the iron in the guard's bloodstream. And catching the Blackbird before it crashed ? Loved it. ("When will these people learn how to fly?") But best of all, though, was when he pulled the pins out of the soldiers' grenades. I almost squealed with glee when I saw that. -
Welllllll, there are actually two Titanium lines. The first line is very small as each vehicle is only about 3" long. There is no set scale - they just proportion 'em down to a set size. The new Titanium line, though, is significantly larger. If you ever saw any of the Galoob Star Wars Action Fleet vehicles, this new Titanium line is a diecast recasting of those exact same molds. So far I've only seen an X-Wing and Republic Gunship in this larger line, but I like both of them very much. Once again, they are not a specific scale - they are just proportioned down to about 5"-6". I would like very much to have a Viper in the larger line, but the smaller one doesn't do a thing for me.

...Which will totally ruin the continuity of such a classic trillogy. 345370 Which raises what I consider to be a comically interesting point. You ever stop to think that someday far into the future, somebody's gonna be complaining that "director so-and-so raped my childhood" when these Fast and Furious movies get remade? I almost shudder at the thought.

Very nice work! I do so love Legos, and this is amazing.

PREDATOR REMAKE, Terrific now my childhood
Axelay replied to zeo-mare's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
This is a heinously bad idea. If it were an altogether new Predator movie, then I might not be so opposed to it. (Hell, I'd welcome it.) But there is absolutely NO ONE who could match Schwarzenegger's performance in Predator. It is simply classic, and I do not wish to see it tarnished. -
Already have this posted over in the For Sale section, but I thought I'd put it here to see if it could generate any more interest. Check out the finished pics in this thread.

By the way, according to the Amazon listing, there is not a track named this...? Or am I just missing something?
-
I swear, that MkII is a pretty thing to me. I just love the lines.
-
I would love to have it. I had the idea to go listen to soundtrack clips at Amazon until I found it, but the stupid proxy here at school prevents me from listening to streaming clips.

Rebelscum reported a while back that Habsro has acquired the rights to produce BSG vehicles as part of their Titanium line. It's not much, I know, but it's a start. Look for these in 2006. Maybe if we're lucky, Hasbro will do them in the new large-scale Titanium line. Read more about it here. I do find it curious that they list the MkVII Viper, but not the MkII...? Then again, this is a tentative list, so I'm sure it'll change. On another note, does anyone have any idea how I might go about finding out the title of the piece of music (or even better yet, the music itself) which is played at the beginning of "Kobol's Last Gleaming part 1" and at the end of "Kobol's Last Gleaming part 2?" It reminds me of a fugue, I think. Not really a waltz... but I could be mistaken. Great piece of music, that one.

I was absolutely stunned to find an Alternators Prowl in one of my local Targets. And in North Carolina, no less! I had thought that I would get the Binaltech one since I tend to have a hard time believing that an RSX could be used for an American police car, but this was just too rare to pass up. The paint reminded me so much of the original Prowl - which was the very first Transformer I EVER had. I really, really like this Alternator even though I had thought at first that I would not. Someone's recommended that I mod the legs so that they can be turned around, so I'm going to see if I can find pics of it. That Optimus Prime up there is absolutely beastly. I'd shell out quite a bit for that thing if it came with the trailer.

I'm about 99% sure that the Ford GT's are built by Wixom Asseembly in Michigan, and not Saleen. To the best of my knowledge, Saleen has nothing to do with the GT at all, and that's a good thing if you ask me. I could be mistaken, but I feel pretty sure about this. "And now for something completely different." Wouldn't you like a nice new high-quality UNS emblem to put on your car to show that you're a true Macross fan? I surely would. Oh wait, done, and done. Yes, so I'm blowing my own horn a bit, and what better place to do it than the MW Automotive Thread? Go check out the For Sale section if you're interested. Thread starts here.

OK, now that is disturbing.
-
Amen to that.

So I guess the Pegasus is still around? But in what capacity? Where'd this info come from?
