  1. Wow, so the invasion of the Vajra homeworld, as depicted in Sayonara no Tsubasa, was the proving debut for the YF-29, eh?
  2. Was Alto’s YF-29 the first one to be built?
  3. Holy smokes the NUNS sponsored the development of a biplane?
  4. I thought Kawamori was busy with a second project while Delta was running. Isn’t there some common idea that a lot of people like Plus as a whole more than 7 because Kawamori has more direct involvement in Plus?
  5. Ohhhhhh! Big West is so scared! Still not that big in the U.S.; I've never been to the Philippines but by virtue of being in eastern Asia, I bet anime is bigger in the Philippines than in the U.S.
  6. My understanding of most anime franchises is that profits to be made from outside do not generally exceed those from in Japan. Why do you suppose Big West hasn’t done more against Harmony Gold over the years? Japan is the prime market, and they have that. Big West is missing out, but not by that much.
  7. As I recall, the YF-25 was Shinsei/LAI Frontier's project, in parallel with Olympia's YF-26 and Galaxy's YF-27. Is there any information on what SMS Sephira was doing with Reon Sakaki's YF-25 prior to Macross 30?
  8. In Macross Frontier, we see that Ozma's unit has the hull marking "SMS001". Michael has "SMS003", Luca has "SMS004", and Gilliam / Alto has "SMS007". So who's 2, 5, and 6? However do these fighter hull markings work?
  9. Is this the deco of Chelsea Scarlett's YF-25, or is it merely an expanded color model for the barely-visible Frontier movie YF-25 model?
  10. Haha, during Delta's run, a Windermere apologist on AnimeSuki tried to claim that the manga was sufficient justification to make the Windermereans sympathetic, and flat-out refused to acknowledge when everyone else pointed out that the manga was an ancillary production not known to most of the TV audience.
  11. Hey Seto, this probably isn't new information, but this is how some people elsewhere on the Internet treat you (scroll down a bit to see a mischaracterization of your words):
  12. The main protagonist, Chelsea Scarlett, has a mentor, Angers 672, who pilots something called a Queadlunn Alma. Seto Kaiba can probably explain the background behind that mecha.
  13. Two of the new Macrosses are named グラシオン (Grasion?) メガシオン (Megasion?). Mirage's Sv-262.
  14. Here is a shot of two of the Macrosses in the movie booklet. https://instagram.com/p/BfAhlKSh9Q5/
  15. https://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=149048&page=7 Bottom post on this page has a rough point by point summary of the movie, aggregated from across the Infowebs.
  16. This might be a dumb question, but are the VF-19 and VF-22 incompatible with the YF-24 family's ISC? I would think that the revolutionary ISC would be a technology everyone wants.
  17. Wait, Gilliam Angreat is the commander officer of the 727th Ravens? Not Aegis Focker? Wow, the sheer detail presented in ancillary Macross materials. Heh, so Manfred Brando probably survived VF-X2 eh? I guess we have to hope that SMS finished him off at the conclusion of Frontier. But for real? Max of all people backs a terrorist organization, and treason against the NUN at that? What the hell?
  18. My current hope: a five-man New U.N. Spacy special forces team, flying all production YF-24 derivatives: VF-24, VF-25, VF-27, VF-29, and VF-31.
  19. I think you, Seto Kaiba, said further up this thread that you would like to see this new TV anime put Frontier and Delta's existing valks to use in some new way? Now that I think of it, that seems more and more like an accurate prediction of what fighters this series will have, given the high cost of anime and CGI, and this franchise's penchant for reusing animation assets.
