  1. Gotta ask, Bubblegum Crisis original, or 2040?
  2. It's roughly equivalent to the 10% sales tax Japan has, but yeah it does suck. Especially since Bluefin's already marked up ~$45 past the tax included Japanese price.
  3. I'm in California, $30 of tax Subtotal $325.00 Shipping & Handling $6.00 Grand Total (Excl.Tax) $331.00 CA STATE TAX (6%) $19.50 CA COUNTY TAX (0.25%) $0.81 CA CITY TAX (0.25%) $0.81 CA SPECIAL TAX (1%) $3.25 CA SPECIAL TAX (1.75%) $5.69 Tax $30.06 Grand Total (Incl.Tax) $361.06
  4. Well, that was either a good time or a bad time to randomly check this thread. Either way, $360 (shipped) is a bit more than what a proxy order would have run. Unfortunately. [edit] And now the web-page is showing 404, but fortunately after I got the order in.
  5. Since it's a different lineage it has a different transformation. SV vs VF. My personal headcannon is that the company didn't have the IP rights to VF transformation schemes and had to do something different.
  6. They typically have lower costs, and also it's easier to place an order with them than many other proxy sellers. Also, as others have stated, their packages typically don't get caught by customs.
  7. Smell is a big issue, I'm in a condo. I had to set up essentially a fume hood blowing out my window for the printer itself, and it wasn't sufficient.
  8. I'm not buying any more 3D printing stuff. I already have a anycube photon that I CAN'T USE due to how impossible it is to get isopropyl. Only got to make 1 print on it so far. I did buy a whole new computer though, so there's that.
  9. If it's a big enough print you can just split it in half and glue the bottom layers together?
  10. Last I checked, there's a still drop-down in the upper right when paying to change the currency you're paying in. But yeah, make sure you select Yen, especially if you have a card w/o currency conversion fees.
  11. I just decided to pay for it, given the expected release date. No payment request.
  12. Unfortunately 1/48 Yamatos are big enough it's 6k vs 20k for EMS/DHL. Nope, I just checked DHL shipping costs on a 1/48 VF-1 and it was 20k yen by itself.
  13. I'm probably in the minority, but 19Kai is my least favorite valk in existence. I didn't like lips on Bayformers, I didn't like them on TMNT, and I don't like them on Valkyries. I'll probably get a 19P if they re-do that one though.
  14. Also, a matte topcoat will dull things down a bit across the whole model, so keep that in mind if you don't want it getting too muted.
  15. Paid ShowZ for the Sazabi last week, and just got a shipment notification. Who knows how long it'll take to show up though.
  16. ~wooooosh~
  17. Same, I actually liked the Arcadia SV-51. Mine's got nice and tight joints everywhere except for the one wing joint near the body/shoulders that's supported in every mode.
  18. Thanks for putting that up. What with the lack of tax and cheap international shipping that's the clear winner. About the same with DHL shipping as the HLJ one is without any shipping.
  19. Cool here as well, the only armored VF-1 I have is the HMR.
  20. For the 2ss you could use a Bandai display stand 4or 5 to hold the bits.
  21. I use a bunch of their gunpla stands for my gunpla. Nominally, these are the purposes for Display Base 1-5: 1, 4: For 1/100 MG scale gundam kits or 1/72 scale Macross kits. 2, 3, 5: for 1/144 scale gundam kits. I wouldn't stick an HMR on anything other than a 1. Even a 5 isn't great for it due to the base-plate being 3 narrower parts, rather than the single large piece of 1.
  22. I think you're protected against the company folding, since it covers non-delivery. I don't usually bother when it comes to stuff bought new, but I guess this is one case for doing so.
  23. ...It's a bit.. ...Cheeky... ...
