  1. That is not the Macross Compendium, Ishimaru. That link you posted is from an old Role-Playing Game website with made up information that is not official. Now I understand why I never heard of them going back to investigate the Supervision Army Derelict, because it's not officially what happened. Here is the Macross Compendium, that has official information about Macross:

    Macross Compendium

I guess I proved myself wrong then by disbelieving a fan site, by the way you really don't have to link me Compendium that seemed like a insult to me no offense. <_<

Just trying to get a look at some other sources since they make some reasonable sense, I'd just like to know what other people think before looking at Compendium.

Curious to know if the ship was actually a false booby trap though, if they did examine the ship what would have happened?

My curiosity is the relation to the Megaroad, as said they disappeared or should I say lost contact when they reached the center of the galaxy, given from Compendium:

Megaroad-01's communications cease near the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. (News about this ship are not publicized.)

We actually don't know all the facts, I'm curious to know if the ASS-2 had any relations in the disappearance of the Megaroad-01, could it have been possible that the ASS-2 was just a dud to examine information about the crew and the Zentradi vessel itself?

As stated before the SA does have technology that surpasses that of the Zentradi, that encounter with the ship could have been much more.

I mean come on out of all the places in the Galaxy, chances of finding the SA would be rare, but in the center I mean come on the Megaroad-01 must have encountered something when they got there and I'm assuming the SA none the less it could be something else.

Ugh all these conjectures and theories are getting us no where, I have a feeling Shoji Kawomari will tell us when it's right but that won't be for a while.

As quote in quote they did not reveal any more news about the ship was not publicized so there are a lot more that we don't know about. (Eh...was that directed towards the actual world of the anime or us? Just making sure. :p)

The ship you're refering to isn't probably a Supervision Army ship, it IS a Supervision Army Ship. In fact, it's the exact same class as the ASS-1/SDF-1 Macross that crashed on Earth (a Gun Destroyer). It appears in Episode 30 of SDFM; see details and a picture via the link to my website below:

    Supervision Army Derelict

Where does it say on the Macross Compendium that they went back to search for the ship? I don't remember that, but I'd like to read about it.

Ah yes thanks for correcting me.

Here is where I got my source:

    ASS-1/2

Probably the largest amount of information on this specific ship.

But to answer your question more specifically from quote.

A UN Spacy task force dispatched later to salvage the ship failed to find the wreck after extensively searching at and near the coordinates Vrlitwhai reported. The location of the wreck (if it even still exists) is currently unknown. Since 2012 no UN Spacy colony missions or combat fleets have reported encountering any craft (wrecked or otherwise) similar to the original ASS-1.

This is where it got real interesting.

I got rising suspicions that the ship didn't just disappear after all, I mean what of the chances of them finding the ship during the mission?

They even did a hard search of the surrounding area and more, it just doesn't make any sense to me that it would just be out of sight like that, sure it would drift on and on but I'm sure they could have found it if even it was still drifting.

But even then it was described they came back "later" if the grammar was done correctly so I'm assuming not too long after the mission or the end of series they went on to do the search.

Oh it just doesn't make sense something is definitely missing, where did that ship go...?

  3. I'd like to point out one episode, forgot which one but I know it well enough.

Remember as the earth forces and zentradi were at peace? They came across a disbanded ship similar to that of the SDF designs, but did not examine it because it could be a "bobby trap". It's nearly the same exact repetition of what the SDF did when it fired it's main cannon on earth towards the Zentradi.

I know they didn't place that in the series for nothing.

If nothing else it was probably another Supervision ship, out of protoculture; is it possible that the Supervision was still in the galaxy after the SDF landed on earth? Maybe undetected due to the lack of any enerhy?

Was that ship there to be activated again? And as stated on Macross Compendium, they went back in search of the ship at the last coordinates they had.

But I got a rising suspicions that the ship didn't magically drift away.

This to me is probably the most interesting thing that ever occurred in Macross.

  4. So I guess WB will go along with the Alpha and armor bikes mech design?

They don't necessary have to produce the Macross saga... right?

WB isn't stupid enough to go out of the way in deciding to make this movie.

You guys have to know this is Warner Brother's not Harmony Gold, I think everyone's expectations are just too low. -_-

If they can make Transformer's look good then what's stopping them with Robotech?

Valkyries will actually look good this time. :)

  5. I think the Halo edition is kinda ugly. Waiting for Falcon consoles. Hopefully they will be worth it.

The only thing keeping me away from it is the freaken 3 on it, that was on the Zune and I did think of buying one but noo. <_<

But I won't be one of those hardcore gamers to purchase Halo 3, I don't even have a 360 and Microshaft still messing up with the red rings is just insanity enough as it. (Excluding the 3 year warranty thingie.)

Do you ever wonder why Michael Moore or whoever resigned? Cause he knew what he was doing is a mistake...

I don't hate the 360 or anything but with Microsoft its just bleh for me..

  6. Possibly.

There were no actual images of the Alus as far as we know, therefore it is conceivable that it is a representation of the legendary ship based on speculation or Ishtar's imagination as to what the ship would look like based on her personal experience.

The show did not run long enough to explain the discrepancies of the image to the ship...

I believe at that point she hadn't seen the Macross yet.

But she is already on the ship so...how could that be her vision of it?
