The previous official color renderings weren't very clear on this, I always thought the 2 smaller thrusters were an integrated part of the bigger leg thrusters in Fighter mode, and just splits out from it in the X-wing-like & other modes.. With the new underside images, it looks like they actually unfurl out from the belly of the fighter. I am liking the SV-303 design more and more.. But perhaps its a new valk syndrome, same as when the SV-262 was first revealed.

To me, as the uneducated, layman observer, is that the SV-303 is a cross of the VF-4 with the VF-27 and/or YF-29.  I think that this design is absolutely wonderful and as said earlier in the thread, this thing has several Lil' Draken Drones attached to its hull to give it some truly impressive firepower.  I am eagerly anticipating more information on this Valkyrie and this gives me excitement and hope for Kawamori's new designs coming up in future Macross products.

  2. I Love the SV-262, and think that it is an amazing Valkyrie. I’m really certain that it is under appreciated as a design. I’m physically pained at how difficult it is to transform, otherwise it would be one of my favorite Macross Jet toys that I own. I think it is a shame that there was not further call to release more of them, as we saw with the VF-31. Maybe this fact will have Bandai release a 2.0 like the VF-25 got, and we will get a red SV-262Hs for Bogue from the new movie along with all the rest of the SV-262Ba’s and VF-31AX’s , SV-303 and YF-29 Max custom.  I just wish that it would come with the middle pods and sword along with the Valkyrie, heck throw in the lil’ darkens to entice buyers!

  3. Okay, so maybe this is explained in the text, which I cannot read, but is there a reason why it has written on the CAD drawings, it calls it a YF-33?  I think that this might be a runner up, siding right up with the VF-9 as the origami valkyrie.  Those wing shifts and movement of the engines seem like it could be like star wars ships...X-Wing/B-Wing.  I am glad that it gives a bit of a better explanation of transformation.

  4. So, let me see if I counted this right.....It has 6 of the integrated 25mm-35mm laser machine gun integrated weapons, Dual Quantum beam cannons, like the YF-29 turreted guns and although I cannot see them, I am sure it has micro missile launchers.  4 thermonuclear reaction engines.  I have not seen the 2nd Macross Delta movie, but I can see how a YF-29 was needed to deal with these.  While I love the VF-31A Kairos and VF-31 Siegfried, I don't see it compete with this level of valkyrie.  Are the powers that be equating this as a possible 6th gen fighter?

  5. I have had a Yamato VF-22S toy, it does not have the same belly plates or any attachment points for fast pack, so I would have to say no, unless someone has actually done this with their YF-21/VF-22S

  6. Any new information on the potential/upcoming Hi Metal R VF-0S? Will it have integrated landing gear, as previous pictures suggest?

    Thanks!

  7. So, I have a question for you guys here.  My son, who is 13 is into transformers in a very large way.  He ordered and paid for with his own money a third party Devastator set from China, and it cost around $50.  He received it two days ago, and the Hook from the set already broke.  He is going to send it back for a refund, but I would like to try to get him a better, but still relatively affordable constructicon set.  What do people recommend?  Now, but affordable, I am talking less than $100.  I know that there are masterpiece scale sets that cost hundreds of dollars, but I think at 13, that is a little beyond him now.  Please let me know!

    Thank You,

  8. Played the original Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition on my PS5 recently and thoroughly enjoyed the game.  I just picked up Horizon Forbidden West for the PS5, have not had a chance to play yet, as I am currently at work, but when I get off my rotation, I will play it and see how it lives up to the previous one.

I am trying to play through the PS5 upgrade of Final Fantasy VII Remake intergrade, which is an awesome game, I am only about 20 hours in.  I am hesitant to try to install my PS4 disk copy of Cyberpunk 2077 now that the PS5 upgrade patch is out, since people are saying that there are issues with the disk version of the game....havent really looked into it, but I have so many new PS5 games to play and not enough hard drive space to load them up, but I am so glad that I was able to get a PS5, have really been enjoying it

  9. So, I remember wondering about this when it was announced, but no one ever mentioned it, then I forgot about it and was reminded of it when I just looked at the picture of the DX recently.  This release of the Bandai DX Chogokin VF-25F WWM release has 021 as the modex #, to symbolize the world wide release in 2021?  I was wondering if it will be changed to 022, since this DX toy is being release in 2022, which is the 40th anniversary of the series.  maybe I am crazy for dwelling on this little tidbit, but I think it is important to get the modex# right, if it is supposed to indicate the year of release and 40th anniversary year.

  10. so, is it me, or do we have the voice actors for the series presenting the DX toys and talking about them and playing with them.  Some of the females appear to be familiar, as in they are the VA for the Delta girls.  It is cool to see the toy in physical 3D shape, but for now, I shall have to live vicariously through the pictures posted in the VF-31AX threads to see what they are.

  11. I too am very surprised as to this announcement, but I am very glad to see that they are innovating into something that has only seen kit form before this time.  I will look forward to wanting this when it becomes available.

  12. So something that kind of stuck into my head a little ago, and yes, I know we don’t have official stats, but…..why would they take the base VF-31 Kairos and boost it up with a bunch of fold quartz to gain performance, engine wise. The base Kairos has a thrust of 1645kN x2, the Siegfried has 1800 something kN x2 with the fold wave system boosting it by 15% or so in overboost.
did they use the engines of the original Kairos or Siegfried? My thought is that the original Kairos didn’t have the fold wave overboost thing, so if they gave it that capability by adding fold quartz….you pretty much give it the performance of the original Siegfried.

Would it not be cheaper to just give the Siegfried some different/upgraded wings, more fold quartz to increase fold wave boost and change out the mission pack?

I guess it is just hard for me to wrap my head around this based on not having any factual hard stats to back it up, for my brain at least. What does everyone else think?
