HLJ payment confirmation. Just waiting for that shipping notification, and then on the way...

Only 30 minutes in, but it's been quite a listen so far...
"The SpeakerPODcast Crew is back from Wonder Festival 2018 Summer.
In a word, it was MOSPEADASTIC! So many Mospeada toys and kits. And of course, we’re here to talk all about it this episode. Hope you guys like your toys, because we talk about a lot of them!
First, though, we need to catch up on all the recent Macross news and announcements – and there’s a lot to discuss!"

VT1-Super Ostrich incoming and Nex's VF-2 on the November horizon.
If this is it for 2018, there will only have been 4 Hi-Metal R (Macross) releases for the year.
Not sure what this means (if anything) for future HMR Macross releases, but I do hope they keep 'em coming...even if it's at a slower pace.
Just trying to keep hope alive for that Tomahawk we keep getting teased with.

Nice avatar you got there.

^Not cool dude. I get that you're frustrated with MyKombini, but I don't think these types of comments are relevant or appropriate here.
I didn't down vote you, but I think you should consider editing your post.

1 hour ago, HardlyNever said:The whims of Bandai are not for us mere mortals to understand, so there is no really saying if or what will get announced this year.
Also keep in mind that HMR isn't exclusively a Macross line, so there are things like this that take up production space in the HMR line:
https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/24264-hi-metal-r-brockary.html
It's always those non-Macross releases that throw me off.
It'd really be interesting to know how many each of these releases were produced and/or sold.

So, we've got the VT-1 scheduled for an August release (from an April 2nd pre-order), but nothing beyond that at the moment. I wonder if we're going to get an announcement this month?
In the later half of 2017, we had the Defender released in August, the VF-1S (35th Anniversary - Messer) in September, the VF-2SS in November, and the Regult Missile set in December.

No issue with my Hikaru VF-1A leg armor.
Sorry you guys are having to deal with this, and I hope if you're reporting it back to the vendor it's in turn being brought to the attention of the manufacturer.
I think this line has had quite a good run with quality assurance, and here's hoping they can keep it up for the duration.

I'm going to have to re-check mine tonight to confirm there's no issue, but I didn't notice anything when it arrived.

Hikaru's Super VF-1A has arrived. No issues to report, although I just realized I need to pick up more stands.

One week to go!
My last HMR purchase was Max's VF-1J (November 2016), so I'm really looking forward to this one, and with the VT-1 coming out in August...I've got no complaints this year.

Sounded like you guys were having a lot of fun this episode (or maybe it's something in the Tokyo spring air). A lot more conversational, but really enjoyed listening in on this one.
Thanks for all the details about the Noriyoshi Ohrai exhibit as well. Clearly had an impact on all of you.

Bandai's website currently shows a list price for the VT-1 as 9,720¥, so HLJ's 9,000¥ is a bit of a discount (10%)...although nothing like the other vendor discounts.
Looking back, Bandai listed the upcoming VF-1A Hikaru Super as 9,504¥. HLJ's listed retail is 8,800 (a discount of 7.04%) and they're actually selling it for 8,360¥ (a discount of 12.04%).
So, I don't think HLJ is really off their own mark, just when compared to other retailers. Ultimately just happy I was able to secure a pre-order.
Here's looking to the future, and hoping the Tomahawk is announced before the end of the year! That's the one I've really been looking forward to.
*sorry. This was in response to amptor's "9000 yen at hlj lol" comment.

Episode 105 is up and covers a recent official fan club event, the Macross the First reboot, and some Yoshiki Fukuyama gigs.
Please excuse the background noise on this one ^^;
http://www.decultureshock.com/speakerpodcast-ep-105-deltama-mission-3-3/The change of the Official Fan Club name is telling indeed, although I guess it really is no great surprise. The Delta is dead, long live the Walkure.
As mentioned, it will be interesting to see how the Delta series and Passionate Walkure are perceived by future fans, without the concerts and ancillary events & materials (as something new to anticipate/experience). Time will tell...
Thanks to Renato for the explanation of Honne, Tatemae, and Hadaka no Tsukiai.
Also, always great to hear Karice's point of view as someone who clearly appreciates Anime but is not as steeped in Macross miscellany.

Until ofcourse next week's preorder frustration's post for not securing one due to spinning rainbow ball, webpage not loading properly, cartjacking, etc, etc.
Very true, although I haven't had any issues with past orders (thankfully). Here's hoping this one goes as smoothly.

This episode - we're still talking Walkure!
http://www.decultureshock.com/speakerpodcast-ep-104-the-walkure-talk-wont-stop/Just finished listening to the most recent SpeakerPodcast. Thanks for all the additional concert details.
Curious as to why the creators/producers of the show wouldn't continue with Delta instead of creating a new series, especially considering the popularity of Walkure? Seems like there's an opportunity to continue the series at this point, although some may be looking forward to something new/different.
Perhaps, as you guys indicate in the Podcast, Wakure's idol fans don't necessarily cross over to Delta (which is peculiar). It will definitely be interesting to see where Macross goes from here, especially because of Walkure's popularity.
Thanks again, and as always...looking forward to future Podcasts.

That color difference between the molded plastic and painted parts is really unfortunate.
I know there have been other pictures where the difference isn't so noticeable, but it's still disappointing to see it...particularly the divide between the cockpit and the fuselage.
