  1. And remember... your wallet is bound to end like this:

    giphy.gif

You guys had been WARNED. B))

I can definitely see this becoming reality if they start releasing my wish list items.

A couple months between releases is probably a good thing now that I think about it.

  2. RDX17 it seems we get a normal release every 2 months at the end of the month. The preorders have come up at the end of the month between normal releases. So we had the 1a preorder at the end of April with the glaug release at the end of May. The monster I believe is released end of July, so a preorder should pop up end of June if they keep up the pattern. The info on the preorders doesn't seem to have a specific pattern, but it's usually close to the preorder date, within a week or so. There has only been one web exclusive for the hmr line and that hasn't had a pattern yet.

Thanks for the additional information. I just need to keep my anticipation in check now. :)

  3. More or so. And it varies sometimes. There's no definitive scheduling. Sometimes announcement were made a month or less than a month prior of the preorder date. Sometimes they will show some items in one of their shows months before the preorder date. Some of them will get made, and some of them will not. ;) But once you've seen the official promotional photos that kinda looks like the recent VF-1A they've shown, then you'll know that they will announce pretty soon the preorder date. Hope that helps. ^_^

This is great, thanks so much.

I pre-ordered a Glaug, but decided to skip the Monster and the Brownie, so I'm just trying to get a sense of what & when to expect next.

  4. Reading through posts from the last few weeks, it looks like the VF-1A (Brownie) was officially announced April 19th, followed by the Pre-order on April 28th, with a release date schedule for September.

Being relatively new to this, is this how the prior announcements/pre-orders/releases have been handled as well? A week or so between the announcement and pre-order, with a release scheduled 5 months down the road?

    Thanks!

  5. They did send me a notice that there'd be additional charges but they did not follow up on it with an invoice or an amount. They just left me hanging. I know they're reading my tickets but they're refusing to respond. I sent an angry one this morning and they had the audacity to resend the 'preparation in progress email' again but no reply whatsoever to any of my tickets. I know they won't ship the item until they're done fleecing me but what's taking them so long?

Ah, got it. Definitely sounds like they're still having some issues with emails and additional shipping invoices getting out.

Hang in there, I'm sure your Roy will be on its way soon.

  6. No request for addition shipping charges for me (yet). I ordered in late Feb, so shouldn't be getting the stand. Besides, i'm shipping my Roy together with my Regult.

Ah, okay. I don't think you'd be expected to pay additional shipping. Maybe they're focused on sending out the orders that include the stand first, or just those with a Roy?

I don't think it would hurt to send an email asking about your order though, and I'm sure it'll work out.

  7. Anyone else yet to receive their HMR Roy from NY? It's been 10 days since they sent a preparation in progress email.

    Same situation for me.....still waiting.....

Did either of you receive the message from NY regarding additional shipping charges? If not, I'd scan through the last few pages here to find out what others experienced.

I believe contacting NY would be in order ASAP.

  8. I wish they just get rid of that useless and fugly "small-wings" crap, and provide the black feet option instead.

I was originally a bit perplexed by the inclusion of the small wings as well, however I've been using the ones included with the VF-1S Strike (Hikaru) on the Armored VF-1J and appreciate them quite a bit. I now wish they'd been included with the Armored VF-1J.

  9. My HM-R Roy 1S arrived today! Everything is packed together in a brown Tamashii shipping box. It's a similar set up to the one used for the DX armor parts releases, where the retail boxes are contained inside the brown box. I'll update this post soon with pictures from my phone.

Thanks for sharing those pictures. Having never ordered from NY it's nice to see how well their packaging is for potential orders in the future.

  10. Does this image actually indicate what releases to expect with the Hi Metal R series?

If so, I can check off a few of my wish list items...and add a couple more.

  11. I hope that Bandai also can be release a VF-1D, but with long canopy, like it's for real, like Hasegawa model kit...

I agree, that would be a nice addition.

    It will probably be sooner.

I wouldn't mind this at all.

  12. ...and make it snappy.

I agree, although looking at the original announcement, the pre-order timeline, and the release date of this first wave, I'd say calm, cleansing breaths and some patience will be required.

If I'm not mistaken, the HMR's were announced in November 2014, the first available pre-order was May 2015, the first release was September 2015, and we're still waiting for the VF-1S (April '16), the Glaug (May '16) and the Monster (July '16). A year-and-a-half from announcement to completion. Not complaining or criticizing, just trying to put the timeline into perspective.

So, if there is a second wave announced later this year, and they follow the same schedule, we're looking at the next actual release date starting in September 2017. A little over a year away. Not too bad, all things considered. It should hopefully give us all time to reinforce our bank accounts. :)

  13. I hope Bandai continues with the Hi-Metal R 1/100 series. I'd love to see the following made available:

DYRL VF-1A Super - Hikaru variant

DYRL VF-1A Super - Max variant

SDFM VF-1J - Max variant (possibly in the next release wave?)

SDFM VF-1A - Cavaliers (not likely)

SDFM VF-1J - Macross the First (just dreaming)

    Regult Scout

Tomahawk (possibly in the next release wave?)

I'd like to see the Fan Racer released as well, although a 1/100 scale would be a bit small.
