  1. If you can find it, I recommend using Glasarit Automotive putty, its ultra smooth almost like butter, sets in a few minutes... sandable within 20 or so minutes.... does not have air bubble problems like cheap nasty auto putty and sands away like talcum powder!!!!!!!
  2. Hmm.. well if its allready assembled, I just hope the box wont be any bigger than a 1/48 Valk box LOL....
  3. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...v-03-page-2.jpg Ahhhh I finally found the pic..... i knew it was in one of the mags.... I would assume its the DYRL launch arm as you can see its holding the 1/48....
  4. http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?YMT00033 HLJ has it up for preorder for April delivery... not sure if this is old news or new, but this is the first Ive heard of it... ooo you even get an early bird discount LOL...
  5. This might sound like a silly question, but has anyone weighed an empty 1/48 Valk box and seen how close in weight it is to the valk & parts itself.... Well out of sheer boredom I just did and the box weighs bewteen 900 - 1000 Grams and the Valk is 300 - 400 Grams (my scales are crap btw LOL)... Oh well theres some info for you on a bofing Sunday LOL...
  6. Thanks Gerwalker, I'll give that a try today and see how the parts turn out!!
  7. Hi, I'm just wondering what do you guys use for gluiing clear parts to plastic without having the glue either fog it up or run inside and ruin the clarity.... Ive heard that PVA wood glue work well and dries clear, but its a bit thick for some delicate thin sections...
  8. I have a funny feeling the 1/60 Parts will be the GP1S set sold separately.
  9. Well hopefully the 1/60 VF1J GBP isnt too far off, so that will satisfy some of us for a while but obviously a 1/48 VF1J GBP would be perfect!!!

    HLJ sale

All these last minute pre xmas sales are juts toooooooo tempting...
  11. Very swish looking display there Rob!!! If only I had some room in my rather cramped room I would love a setup like that!!!
  12. MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm looking good there Dan, I may have to strip down one of my Yammies and do a custom as well while i got some time off work!!!
  13. Eek, my brand new wallet will be taking a battering this month and at elast the 2004/04 release is time enough to save.... unless thye hit us with enemy mech before xmas....actually.... i'll just save for the GBP... must remain calm...
  14. HLJ shipping times for either EMS or SAL are all over the place.... I once had EMS and SAL articles shipped within one day of each other and the SAL took exactly 7 days to get to me, and the EMS, which left first up mind you, arrived 4 days after....go figure...

  19. I think I'll grab one just in case
  20. I'm keeping my 1/60's - once the collection is complete it will be quite impressive I think, especially considering Yamato has gone to the trouble of pretty much making the entire Vf-1 line in 1/60 for us..... now those enemy mechs in 1/60 will be something..
  21. Becuase it has that chunky super cool look about it...
  22. Might have to get one .......or two...... or three........
