I hope that Goodsmile takes a shot with their Moderoids going in all retro directions.
I think that’s the most likely product at this point. Anytime I think of something that’s a bit older, moderoid usually answers. Some of their items have been real surprises, like Madox, or Brain Powered or Escaflowne, or Magical Knight Rayearth and Iczer One for examples. They’re a bit all over the nostalgia anime and I really do feel that Bubble Gum Crisis is just a matter of time

She's playing Shalla Bal, Immortal Empress of Zenn-la and the lover to Norrin Rad (in the comics.)
I wonder if they'll hold to the comics to explain her as being a Silver Surfer, seeing as at one time she also had the Power Cosmic?
Didn’t she only have the silver surfer thing for like an odd issue or two and die right after. This seems pretty lame. Disney is already jumping at the female replacement without even introducing the most famous Silver Surfer. I had my hopes up that maybe we’d finally get a good FF4 movie, but my hopes are definitely sinking. This is gonna be another wait and see kinda thing so far.

Watched with Subs enabled and from my run, it seems like the decals with the bullet holes are coming with the vf-1d, which would be awesome.
They also said the VF-1D would have 23 'secret' changes from the VF-1J on display, so that us super interesting (if youtube translate is working)
thanks for the video link!!
There were some teaser pictures of the 1D a couple weeks ago that showed it with the bullet holes in the chest plate. I’ll see if I can find those later.

That was mentioned in the product specifications back when the preorders opened up. I would’ve skipped the preorder if it wasn’t mentioned. I think only the first version of the fighter just had the stickers and I think they learned a lesson and started including them on all the Macross stuff since then.
I never bought that first fighter due to the lack of waterslides and really glad that I did
Maybe I missed it, but I don’t think they showed the knee bend. All the other articulation looks great and are massive improvements over the hasegawa kits. But I still was hoping someone would show that off before the kit gets to my door in a couple months

Max Q-Rau is up on HLJ: https://www.hlj.com/1-72-scale-quadran-law-max-movie-version-hsg65886
But not the YF-19 yet.
It’s been up everywhere since last night. All the hasegawa releases posted above including the YF-19 battroid and Max’s Queadluun Rau were up for preorder already, but hlj for some reason still doesn’t have them on the front page. If you go to preorders and click sci fi , then they’re on that first page. HLJ really needs to fix their website

Thanks! It will seem almost surreal having the ability to buy the Blu-rays along with streaming it wherever I am, no more 100GB of storage used on my iPhone and iPad!

That and no more struggling with bad translations on bootlegs.

God, I hope that cancellation does not occur! I’m really looking forward to all releases!

I wouldn’t stress about it at all. I’d imagine they already had an agreement before Disney was even involved. Even if Disney does get in the way, they’d probably release the show very soon after it streamed. Most D+ originals get a physical release within a couple of months after they are available on their channel.

Looks like a useful tool.
haven’t seen a watch strap, let alone a watch in over a decade. Hopefully this tool isn’t as rare

Now....now just announce the VF-19kai valk kit....
It will probably be a while before hasegawa tries that one since Max Factory is putting theirs out. And likewise for Max Factory doing the YF-19, but things may move along faster than expected due to everyone trying to cash in on plus and 7 right now. I’m curious about who’s gonna do a VF -11 battroid kit first between the 1/72 Hasegawa or a 1/72 Max Factory or a 1/100 Bandai and which version it would be

The arms do look goofy, but I'm not sure why. Maybe the huge hands? There also might be some mistransformation going on as well
They’re a bit scrawny….., maybe more than a bit

Yeah... not feeling it, Battroid looks "stiff", there is no flair to it. The front feet are not right, the YF-19 has never had such strong incline towards the shin/ankle area.
The Plamax kits will probably also kill this in the articulation department. I don't know, this all feels a bit too late from Hasegawa.
I feel the same about this. Just as an odd comparison, here’s a pic of the Max Factory VF-19 showing off a bitthe hasegawa Yf-19 doesn’t look like it has the ability to do this kind of pose, but may have some hidden joints, but it definitely doesn’t look very good

I got a notice from Hobby Search that the Regult Scout is available for preorder again, due for release in late July. I was slow and missed that one in the original release, so I’m glad to see it being rerun.
That’s definitely one of the rereleases and I highly recommend getting one

Just swing the arm forward and it shouldn’t be a problem with that extra joint there

It's a film? I thought it was a TV series!
Yeah, it was. Now it’s not. They couldn’t decide and I guess they couldn’t figure out how to stretch the story enough to fit a series. Either that or they got really confident about releasing it as a movie

I was thinking that it looks too thin. The fighter is always a bit thinner on the non cg Macross stuff, but hasegawa usually compromises on their battroids to make them appear more realistic. But then the battroids usually end up looking too skinny or very straight legged rather than the more rounded shape that they should be

The details do look good, but I think the proportions are a bit off. It’ll probably look better in color though.
so now that hasegawa is doing humanoid style mecha from Plus, maybe the next Zentraedi kit will be that power armor from the beginning.

No new Macross stuff from wave for tonight, but at least they’re finally doing a Marshydog in 1/35

I watched it the other day, and I don’t think this really adds anything new other than the little smidge of Disney news, I do always have fun with the presentation
