I had just seen a thing about this earlier. The details sound extreme. Definitely a hate crime.
Such a horrible set of incidents and taken away just before the new season was about to air. His lines were already recorded, but it’s gonna be tough to watch and hear his voice after all this

Judging by where the Spartan punched the Regult, a spray of blood and "other stuff" O.o
It’s Macross, not The Boys😁

I wish HM-R would give us ANYYYYTHIINNNGG SDF-Macross again....😟
Anything other than just a repaint. There’s still a couple destroids, the scout regult and the power armors from the show, not to mention the movie versions as well

Could such a computer be land-based and have telemetry sent to it/ commands sent back via cell/ radio? I know the issues with that (loss of signal/ signal degradation, hacking vulnerability, data corruption, signal crossover, signal jamming. blocking, spots on your dishes in the dishwasher, etc.); I just thought that might be another approach...
I’ve seen Waymo’s cars getting stuck just going around in parking lots, so they tend to get confused even with the onboard hardware. I’d imagine that having everything off the vehicle might even be worse, but I’m nowhere near being an expert in these. But it was a hilarious video on YouTube with the guy trying to get to an airport and the car kept driving him in circles through a random lot while he was in the back trying to call tech support for help.

Wow, this is great feedback. I'm going a bit off-topic now but what do you think about the Macross II bits system (or whatever they were called, I know it's an old idea in video games). How close, or far, are we from having autonomous drones accompanying aircraft?
Maybe not too far, but it’s one of those things where the practice isn’t there. That may change though, but normally if we need the firepower of a manned aircraft, then we’d send a manned aircraft. With certain conflicts in other areas, it may be more practical to send an aircraft with other aircraft as escort, but the more things change, then it may end up with more complex dogfighting that might benefit from a launched drone to help out. But I still think that’s not something we’d see with the types of conflicts we’re seeing at the moment

Also good call on the wire for feet. I totally didn’t realize it’s present in the official art and not the kit.
I think I just used a little pin vice hand drill and the smallest bit. Then just used some thin wire from bread wrap twit ties.

The colors are actually fine, usually just the grey that’s already required, but the polycaps can be a bit shiny and any weathering can easily rub off along with top coats. I’ve seen some people having a bit of luck with vinyl paints and plastidip, but others that tried the same stuff without much luck

I really appreciate your responses. What do you think about mind-controlled aircraft with advanced variable geometry (not swing-wing but actual shape-shifting materials, which the Chinese have supposedly accomplished)?
There are already a lot of experiments with controlling aircraft without using arm and leg movements. Mostly eyes and temple attachments, but brainwave control might not be too far off either since they’re also doing experiments with brain chips, oddly a lot in paralysis treatment. Controlling simple functions like flaps and such might actually be easier than the stuff trying to get the upper spine to control lower leg nerves.
as far as variable shape materials, they do exist, but I think it’s a long way from doing something as complex as the wings on the YF-21. But I will say that things are further along than I thought they’d be a couple decades ago. I just really haven’t seen many practical uses for these materials due to issues with durability and trying to get the materials to do more complex movements. Most at the moment are memory type materials that usually just flex from one shape back to the original form.

Single jointed elbows on that Wolverine though. Why?
Probably for looks. It actually looks better than their usual double jointed elbows. It will limit the elbow bend just a bit, but not enough to really bug me since there wouldn’t be many poses he needs with his arm bent that far.

She was in a few shows and some movies, but I really remember her as Hot Lips. Like a lot of folks from my age, used to watch the show and watched many reruns of it since it had been syndicated and would the show would be on all the time. The movie that the show was based on is really awesome, but I think the show sticks in my memory due to repeated watching.

While the search continues for the right ball joints for my Monster build I did a quick test fit on this Seapig. The Wave, Ma.k. kit went together very well. It’s going to need lots of seam removal but the fit is very precise.
When it’s time to come back and work on this, the plan is doing the whole brush painted lacquer thing. Excited to try something new.
Those wave Ma.K kits go together fairly easily, even though they have seams here and there. I just wish they could’ve upgraded the joints by now to not be exposed polycaps. Those things really don’t like paint. Also make sure to have some thin wire and a small drill bit for the backs of the feet for those details there

You need a very powerful computer to manage all the sensor and vehicle inputs needed to safely drive even at low speeds on city streets. So much so that the few experimental cars certified with SAE Lv4 limited/partial autonomy have computers so large they have to be mounted on the top of larger cars like minivans or SUVs.
It only took a few years to go from a computer the size of a room to be outshined by a personal computer and for that to be outshined by the smartphone. Depending on the necessity, technology moves fairly quickly and world conflicts supported by super powers tend to move technology faster than most catalysts

The basic story of Macross Plus, when it was released 30 years ago, is that an artificial intelligence pop idol falls in love with a man, takes over an extremely dangerous military drone, which is defeated by a guy piloting a mind-controlled aircraft with highly advanced variable geometry. It sounds ridiculous but I feel we're not that far away from this scenario in real life. Artificial intelligence is advancing daily and AI pop stars already exist. China, and probably the USA, are working on variable geometry.
I don’t think it’s too far out. Some dude tried to marry a stupid hatsuna miku, and it really didn’t have an ai. AI as it stands is a long way from something that could run a military op, but we do have self driving vehicles and a lot of the tech is coming along fairly quickly. Might only be a few decades before an AI is flying a drone and able to pick targets on its own, maybe less. We already have pre programmed drones doing wild things at concerts. Might not be too far out for combat with all the conflicts popping up.

It deserved to go to the cinema. And I hope it is as Mary Shelley described it in the book.
I’m definitely checking this one out. I love Del Toro movies.

Super cool! I half-suspect that the replenishing agent would revive those old jars!
40 something year old acrylics might be really tough to bring back, if not impossible.
not saying it wouldn’t be entertaining to see someone try though. And I’d definitely try my best to give that person that successfully does it a high five somehow

It did air in broadcast as a TV edit, same as Re:0096.
I get that, but it was an already finished ova not a designed for tv series and they weren’t planning on adding to it, at least not as more of Char’s adventure or whatever.

I don't want them to bring anyone back. Dedra was one of the main characters. What we saw of her in Andor were the most significant events of her life. Narratively her story has been told. There is no good reason to bring her back. You could justify bringing back one of the supporting characters, but do we really want that? If any of these characters are to be revisited, I want those involved with Andor guiding the project. Did you see Kleya made an appearance in Ahsoka season 2? I had no idea how bad that character and her actress was until Filoni got his paws on her. I think they might have ruined Andor for me.
I’m not saying at all that it’s a good idea, but it’s a very Star Wars thing that some cartoon or comic book or lesser show writers could easily try and might actually do.

After War Gundam X wasn't out-and-out cancelled, per se. Its broadcast run was reduced by one cour partway through production due to lower-than-expected ratings and sales of plastic model kits and a move to a different time slot at several networks.
Gundam: Reconguista in G was always a 26 episode series from the earliest stages of its development. Director Yoshiyuki Tomino deliberately restricted the length of the series to two cours, as he felt that was the limit to what he could do at his age and with the current state of the industry at the time. The series was poorly received, though not so much so that its run was affected.
The Witch from Mercury, for all its many flaws, was also always planned to be a two cour series and was reportedly reasonably well-recieved in Japan.
How long GQuuuuuuX will end up being, I have no idea. The last UC TV anime, Advent of the Red Comet, was just one cour... but like its predecessor Re:0096 it was a re-edit of a pre-existing OVA. I think I'd be pretty OK with GQuuuuuuX ending as a one cour series. Studio Khara has made such a mess of it that I don't think there's any saving the story... it would probably be better to tie off the bloody stump of the story and move on.
Basically that description of X shows that it was cancelled. They at least let them try and finish up somewhat.
and I don’t think advent of the red comet really counts since it was just the origin ova and not really a tv show, kinda similar to the tv version of unicorn.I really wasn’t too certain on reco though, but that and witch are definitely on the shorter side and I’m pretty sure this new one will be short as well, but really not sure if it will just end at 12 or go on for another season, but at this point I don’t expect an almost 50 episode series

One thing I gotta give credit to Space-X is that now if I break something or blow something by mistake, I can use their ultimate oops description “rapid unscheduled disassembly”. It’s their ultimate accomplishment to humanity.
Dropped a fancy plate on the ground, I didn’t break it. It was a “rapid unscheduled disassembly”
I didn’t accidentally break the window. It was a “rapid unscheduled disassembly”.
I didn’t total the car. It was a “rapid unscheduled disassembly”.
I didn’t accidentally kill the neighbor in a drunken fight and dismember the body to make it easier to dispose of the evidence. He had a “rapid unscheduled disassembly”.
That line works for every situation, kinda like a new version of the Mentos commercials
