1. If you're thinking about getting a VF-1S Hiki, here's one for $130 shipped, MIB. Seems like a good deal, and you might as well, since you will own them all someday...... VF-1S
2. Added another one: 1/48 Vf-1 GBP (Blue): 001
3. Very nice fix. Simple, cheap and looks good too!
4. I think somebody needs a hug........ But do agree with the pinned whining thread
5. 1/72 = 1 pcs. 1/60 = 26 pcs. 1/48 = 27 pcs (including current items on pre-order)

7. Are those based straight off the old Imai kits?
8. Captain America did a high detail 1/72 regult kit, but I can't remember if it came with decals. I have it buried in storage, so can't check it out, but if it does, maybe you can find out who printed them up for him. You might also try PMing Anasazi37, as I think he is "the man" for producing decals. Not sure if did the Regult kits or not, but if you can get a good scan from someone, he might be able to help. He might also be able to take a scan of decals for the 1/100 and blow them up if all else fails..... edit:spelling
9. I just finally checked that out... Wasn't very nice thing to John... 381003 Man, I love Captain's work.....which thread is this in???
10. I'd like to know too. I thought I read the master for the body was destroyed in making the mold a page or 2 back.... how many will you get out of one set of molds? In looking down the list, I'm slated for the 23rd unit to come off the line . That is unless some other members don't have the funds together when the PM arrives..... Total noob question here: is there likely to be a quality difference between the first batch and any subsequent batches? 380703

According to my source they will not be limited at this point, but will be a short run, so artificially limited unless there is enough demand for Yamato to do another run on them.
12. I agree, the models do look pretty good. The 1/100 kit can also be found for a pretty reasonable price on Ebay because it was reissued not that long ago. If you want the 1/72, be prepared to pay $100+. The Matchbox toys are on Ebay quite often, but if you're going to display it next to a Yammie, it would be like the Mona Lisa next to a stick figure. The Yammies are more of a work of art, and the old Matchbox pods are "toys". Still, they are the only large zentraedi toys on the market thus far....
13. I don't know if anyone has ever done the math, but I'd have to guess that the old Matchbox toy of the Regult was somewhere around 1/60....
14. Just have to be careful not to wear too big of pants.... sometimes wearing the PANTS keeps you out of the PANTIES .
15. Damn Bro!! I'd say, if a divorce is on the horizon, sell the whole collection to a buddy for $1 well ahead of time, then split that with her . You can always buy it back from him after the dust settles.......
16. Jenius, for what it's worth, I think you've got one of the best organized setups I've ever seen. Between all the variants of each VF, corresponding busts and even posters.... it's quite inspiring!!!
17. No kidding! I remember buying mine on Ebay with a BIN.... $37 for all 3 sets from Valktronics. And he had a bunch of them..... if I could only turn back the clock......
18. Like everyone else said, the easiest way to quit is not to start. I bought the VF-1S Hiki as my one and only 1/48 because I already had the 1/60 versions of all the rest, except Low Viz. A year and a half later, and I'm up to 2 of each variation of 1/48..... After you see how damn sexy they are, you have to own 1 for display, and one to keep MIB just so you have piece of mind that if something does happen to the unit on display, you'll always have a backup.
19. Man, I've got to play that card the end of this month. I've been buying models and toys left and right for the last 5 years. I've got to have about 25-30 totes full of them, and that doesn't include at least 2 of each of the 1/48s. I get the "you got another package today" as soon as I walk in the door from work. I usually tell her its a cheap used model I picked up. Sometimes I prep her by telling her I made this awesome score real cheap, and then hope she doesn't press for details. If I told her it was a $150-$200 Yammie, that I already had one of, the temp in the house would drop a few degrees right away. I usually take the package into the garage, where I open it, check it out, and immediately put it in the basement as we have no room here to display anything. When we move, she'll be helping me hauling all this stuff out, and I'll be about as nervous as a whore in church....... . I've been prepping her, like telling her most of the stuff in storage is from my childhood. Hopefully she doesn't look too closely at the dates on the boxes! She's usually pretty cool with it, but finances have been getting tight, especially with cost of building a house, so she's getting a little more "concerned", and of course now Yamato decides to put the production lines in overdrive..... 376976 377167 Luckily for me, we married very young, so I know exactly what number I was in that line . Although my youngest does look a little like the UPS guy.... who is always dropping off my packages!!! Oh no, I've brought it on myself . Oh well, at least I've still got my toys .

21. I'll be cremated, and have my ashes put in the cockpits of all my 1/48 Yammies. Then, have the family put those on the mantle as my urn. I'll finally get to sit in a Valk! Well, part of me anyway.
22. That's sweet. Man, if I bought one of those, it would definitely be a hangar queen! I'd be too afraid to fly the thing. Most of my foam electrics end up becoming packaging material .
23. Like the stealth. Still not too crazy about the LV II, but I'm just happy that someone is still making Macross toys...
