Diminishing interest is keeping me from buying up more valks. In fact, I am thinking I should just limit my collection to just the Bandai because that's what was the real interest for me all along.

Not everyone is the surgeon that Nick is. Boy's got STEADY hands! He was helping me paint my pilots for my custom VF-1D 1/55 a couple years ago. When I tried to just paint in a couple lines, it was all over the place. When he did it, it looked BOOTIFUL!

Oh boy...you're opening a big can of worms on this board with talk of the toynami valks. I'll just say that I have them because I like the box. HAHAHAA

VF Strike Valk, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the transformation of the 1/48s. It's a little time consuming and you end up being delicate cuz it costs so much to get one and you don't want to bust it. I'm not that big a fan of the leg transformation part, but the best thing about the 1/48 is the heat shield. It retracts into the chest, and that to me is the coolest thing in the whole wide macrossworld!

you'll find there are still those of us on this board who are old school and love the 1/55s. We're just silent because any talk of our love for the 1/55s results in public ridicule similar to those given to Robotech lovers. But despite all that, I still love my chunky monkey! One day, the chunky monkey will return to glory and the golden days of chunky monkey shall once again rule! Just jokers guys!!! I do love my chunky monkeys though. I love the weight, the solid feel. They just don't make toys like they used to. Always been a fan of the 1/55s...always will!

at least you can say you have a first edition. Maybe it'll turn out to be worth a lot like the first edition YF-19. HAHAHHAA

I bought some wall shelves from Home Depot that work pretty good. I think the best idea put forth so far though has been a toy room or a bigger place. My toy room is currently under construction. A long time ago, there was a thread about display cabinets. I think Kevin from Valkyrie Exchange used to have the link to this really cool website for display cabinets. These cabinets were SWEET, but very pricey. I always kept asking him for that link, and then I'd lose it.

I think the last one I saw went for about 130+ buckeroos. Not bad, considering the helmet I want so badly is 1400 bucks!

damn! that's like 1350 dollarS! hmmm....maybe I will have to forgo the helmet.

I wish I had a chick to use it on...hell I don't even have an orange sheet to use as a superostrich....so no...the helmet is indeed for me. for me to put on when I watch my ROBOTECH DVDs.
